Not yet, I have gone back to a wired/chest amp setup for now. Hoping to have the audio setup strapped to me before even putting my armor on, simplifying things.
  2. It's been about 14 months since I began my journey and I want to thank everyone in Garrison Carida, First State Squad and FISD for all of their help and guidance during my build. I had my first troop last night with our friends in the Old Line Garrison; a Make-A-Wish foundation event for a 4 year old Star Wars fan heading to Disney to train with Lord Vader! Awesome group of people, the family was so appreciative and everyone had a great time. Makes all the work worthwhile. Plus, I get to hang out with fellow Star Wars geeks, which is an added bonus! Looks like I need a low-latency transmitter and earbuds for this to work...glad I don't keep track of how much I spend on this armor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just tried a Bluetooth transmitter and earbuds with my own scratch built SHA but the 1/2 second delay was super annoying. Not sure what other wireless options I have that aren't cost prohibitive. Hate having the headphones attached to the bucket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hearing/Speaker Kit Advice

I am using ukswraths hovi mics and amp and built my own hearing assist from Canakit amp boards. Sound level isn't like an Aker, but no one has a problem hearing me, unless I guess I was across a noisy room. https://vimeo.com/199097421 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not sure what the wattage is on ukswraths amp. It is plenty loud for me, although it won't get as loud as the Aker mr1700 I used to have in my chest. If I ever need to be heard across the room at a frat party, I could always switch her back to the Aker. [emoji13] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Everything is in the helmet and it works awesome for me. I have foam behind the speakers that my chin rests on and foam along the sides where the fans mount, (which reduces vibration and noise) so I don't have any feedback unless I crank it really loud. Just using the mic that came with my Aker mr1700, which I don't use anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carrie Fisher: RIP We will miss you.

A little shocked at how upset I am at her passing. I didn't know her personally, but it feels like I did. Like I just lost a family member. Another piece of my childhood has died. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A Little help with the shins. (Anovos)

I can concur with that idea. I have the back of my thoughts a hot water bath to make sure the overlapping side was as flush with the other side as I could get it. I used industrial white velcro. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I'm using this splitter and it seems to work ok with the ukswraths hovis and amp and an iPhone 5c. Found it on Amazon. Movo TCB1 3.5mm TRS (Female) Microphone to TRRS (Male) Smartphone Adapter with Headphone Jack for iPhone & Android Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
