  1. When a child sees me firing my blaster (with lights and sounds): "Is it real? Can I try it?" "Sure, but aim high, we don't want anyone to get hurt " When kids ask: "Wow, where have you bought that armor?" "You'll get all this when you enlist in the Imperial Forces." One time a nice MILF grabbed my shiny butt while walking by, so I told her: "Ma'am, I liked that, but please, I'm on duty " She turned at me, glanced at my crotch, leaned towards her female friend and said: "Well well, look, he even has a nice reinforced package!"
  2. Happy SuperBirthday mate!!!
  3. I recommend using 3 of these: ------------ Almost 12v, less weight, longer run time, rechargeable
  4. Happy birthday, mate!!!
  5. Yes, they go on arms and legs. 20mm wide for front/back of thighs and front of shins 25mm wide for back of shins 15mm wide for biceps and forearms
  6. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to THE NEXT LEVEL. This is THE BEST ANH armor replica in the Galaxy. Incredible work, Pete!!!
  9. Happy Birthday Brian!!!!! Have a nice one!!!
  10. I suggest you buy a 3xAAA battery holder and some lithium batteries like these---------------- You'll have almost the same power, but longer duration and less weight.
  11. This is SO AWESOME!!!
  12. Well, from the first and fifth photo I can clearly see lots of room in the biceps, so I think armor bites are caused by improper fitting. I have all my pieces tight and no armor bites at all.
  13. I echo Billy's observations and underline that you assembled all the pieces with a finishing strip over the butt joint, but you left the pieces trimmed for overlap, so it's nor right nor nice to see. The biceps are way too big and the finishing strips on the arms seem too narrow. And yes, the back of your thighs doesn't look too good for the same reason, and the back of the shins must have the finishing strip on the outside. The shims don't look too good either. It definitely needs some work, personally I'd start over but that's just me.
  14. Thank you thank you thank you to everybody!! I mean it, it's a great display of affection! I had a few pints and hang out with friends till late night, had a nice one! @Steve: Yeah, I did that!! YOU ROCK GUYS!!!
  15. Thank you guys!!!! Mucha appreciated! This one's on me (And thank you Smitty, but Pete's new 1mm TM smokes out mine big time!!! Damn, I need one too!)
  16. I did the EXACT same thing with mine
  17. You're doing a great job! But you gotta trim those ears a lot more
  18. Ditto, E6000 will not stick to latex and eventually it will come off. I used thick CA, the one mixed with rubber.
  19. The elastics were glued directly to the thighs with white E6000, the same between forearms and biceps. In some scenes you can see the white glue on the partially detached elastics.
  20. They are also each on the wrong side
  21. I suggest this one. -------- Tight, two way zip, great sweat management, comfortable, cheap.
  22. Much better! You look great! The helmet is SPOT ON. If you try these you'll gain some additional perceived height: -put a foam ring around the neck and under the shoulder straps -put a piece of foam inside the top of the shoulder bells to make them sit higher too -put extra padding inside the top of the helmet to make it sit higher too
