  1. Update: I ended up using the 501st-creations hovi's with the ROMFX. Working good so far. Even used the suit outside. No problem what so ever. No feedback either. I've also mounted the ROMFX-speaker behind my chest plate for bigger (more noisy) events. Not had the chance to try that out though.
  2. I hear ya (couldnt resist!). It seems theres a quite a few with that opinion/experience. However, there seems to be a few happy with HOVI speakers as well. In the end I might use HOVIs and a hidden speaker (or switch in between the two). For now, I just want to know what HOVIs I should aim for
  3. My TD build is almost complete. One of the few things missing is sound gizmos. Im currently thinking of a mix between ROM/FX and a set of HOVIs with speakers. Ive been trying to find out what my options regarding the HOVIs are but Im lost. I want the HOVIs to be of as good quality as possible and ofc be as loud as possible. Does anyone have first hand experience with dif HOVIs? What sets them apart? How does Stompers HOVIs (does he still sell them) compare to those from 501st creations? Are there other HOVIs out there that anyone would recomend? What are the dif tech specs (cantt find that either) Cheers in advance Henrik
  4. Update: Gluing the forearms. Ears in place. Man, those were hard to trim. There are no guide marks, whats so ever, on the TM ears. All upper body parts done, including straping system. Buttons on AB not yet glued. Rivets on the left side with snaps on the back. I might use velcro to close the left side instead of snaps/elastic. On the right side (not showing) theres a single "button" (I used the bottom side of a male snap) as there should be. That side is closed using velcro.
  5. Started working on the helmet. I dare not cut the teeth more using the knife. I need another tool! Shoulder bells and biceps. Biceps not yet striped. Butt and Kidney plate with elastic straps in the back.
  6. Update: All but the left shin are trimed, sanded and taped together to see how well the parts fit. I've decided to work on the return edges once the parts are glued (hence the somewhat rough edges). I will probably remove most of the return edges on the back/chest/ab plates as well. Also a new blueprint with the latest modifications to my T21 build.
  7. Work in progress. I've actually used a dremel instead of scissors/knife to do the triming. It works like a charm once you get the hang of it. I've been vey careful not to let the dremel skid away on the shiny outside !!! The TM armor unpacked. Back pieces trimed and sanded. A tiny return edge still to be trimed on the butt plate. Front pieces trimed and sanded. Note the kidney plate - I have not trimed the sides (yet) until I've figured out if I need to shim the kidney/ab gap.
  8. Mathias, Im about to order this poly weld Poly Weld.
  9. Woho! Gz Mathias! I'm still waiting on my shipment. Damn I envy you!
