  1. Best of all would be to do your own research and form an educated opinion instead of relying on others, who may very well be wrong. Check out our gallery where we have multiple pictures of screen used helmets. Does it look like gloss, satin or flat to you?
  2. Indeed, some good things can be found on ebay, for sure. The thing is, when you're new to this hobby you don't know what qualifies as good. That's why we ask you to stay away from there. Once you know what you're looking for, go right ahead.
  3. I used satin #85 on the vocoder and gloss #21 on the pin striping. But you can probably go all satin and look killer.

  5. The date of C8 won't be revealed until at the end of CE3 in London next summer.
  6. Will do. I'll move it if necessary too.
  7. Sounds good. Keep it going and a pin may very well happen in the future. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. There isn't any specifics. Just eyeball it based on our reference photos in the gallery. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. It's more about the length than the size. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Your hovi's look great. But having just 8 pairs, I don't see how that deserves a pin. If you start making these on a continuous basis for at least the next two years to come I think the situation would warrant it however.
  11. I think Brian was referring to the prototype made in the studio. Not the actual helmets made by AA used in the movie. See middle:

  13. No. Not even worth $200. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. That works in the browser too.
  15. Get Karin's handguards with the gloves she supplies at the same time. Those gloves are great. Just make sure you wear a inner cotton/lycra liners with them.
  16. While I'm sure Anovos will make a fine kit. I think it's worth re-reading this here from back in the day when the Rubies was still unreleased an looked promising. http://starwarshelmets.com/rubies%20Stormtrooper%20Armor.htm
  17. You'll learn as you go while building. ABS or PVC doesn't matter. Flip a coin if that makes you feel better. Keep reading the forums and all you need to know will be found somewhere. Or screw everything and toss money at the problem until it goes away. That's what it boils down to really. Sorry for sounding harsh, but these questions have been answered like 100 times before and are easy for you to find without the rest of us re-hashing it a 101st time again.

  19. Try not pulling the belt on as tight. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. Rom/FX is easily the best modifier on the market. Much better than the icomm. But unfortunately quite expensive and has longer waiting time between production runs. It's not something you buy on a whim.
  21. It's true of all systems. But good ones have amps and volume controls that allow then to become loud enough to work. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. Keep in mind that what might sound loud enough when you're indoors at home is nowhere near loud enough when you're outside or at a con, trooping.

  24. You can maybe try to adjust the strap lengths to even out the distance between kidney>back and kidney>butt. But aside from that it seems fine to me.
  25. It's not made from original moulds, just marketing. It's a decent kit, but not what they claim it to be.
