It is a sandy. They have scanned 1 sandy helmet when they were at the archives. That's confirmed by the game project manager. It's the gaming industry way of telling the player that there is something special about that guy. In this case more armour and heavier weaponry. The same goes for the guys with pauldrons. They just have something special that is not obvious enough to be noticed otherwise. Just a "visual cue".

AFAIK there is no HWT in the game. Just sandtroopers.

Alright. I see what it is you're asking for now. I suppose we could do that in the cases moderators are posting (why would non-staff post info/merch threads anyway?). I guess the reason why we're not doing this already is because if I remember correctly, this used to be less of an issue when we had fewer members and maybe more "forum-polite" ones too. Online ethics take a while to learn and lately we have seen a huge influx on new members that might not be used to how we do things around here.

Yes, those things could be done, but you're still asking software to make decisions on what is "relevant" and what isn't, and that is pretty hard. Billion dollar companies are made on just that. Either way, we're not adding or going to try to add any of these features. Just fix your settings or subscribe to fewer threads. I managed to go for 5 years without subscribing to a single thread. You can too. Likewise, I too hate it when people post just for the sake of posting, without contributing to the topic. In fact, it's worse than not posting anything, because it's buries the good posts under a bunch of junk. But trying to make people stop doing that is just as impossible as what you're asking for. It's also pointless as people will just do it anyway. (If you really want to piss me off, make 20 or so identical, useless posts in the introductions-section. That will fill up my "new content" view with absolute junk.)

What you're asking for is impossible to make.

UKG get to have their decal because it's something members are given to them when they join the garrison. It's not a personalized decal, all have the same one and it's so small and discreet no one notices it. It also helps them differentiate between the other SW costume clubs they have in the UK that doesn't exist in the US. Also, grow up and stop acting act like spoiled kids.
