  1. If you have have the time to spare, I'd recommend re-painting the vocoder though. I've re-done mine 3 times, so I know it's tricky. The best way to do it is to sand down your existing paint, with a pencil draw outlines where you want it to be, and use a flat round-tipped brush (also known as a Filbert brush) for the paint, starting at the top of the vocoder, doing the strokes downwards.
  2. Thanks. I see what I need. Approved.
  3. Can I get a closeup of the belt rivet covers? Specifically on the left and right sides.
  4. Okey, everyone chip in so Paul can upgrade his machine.
  5. In case this slipped by you, ladies and gentlemen - THAT is how you make a replica suit go over the top. Those boots are insanely hard to find.
  6. I got it off of swedish ebay, "tradera". So I can't give you a specific source for that scope. Just keep your eyes open. I wasn't even looking for this specific scope, I was looking for Fett scopes and got this for fun.
  7. There are tonnes of videos on youtube about mould making and casting. Good luck!
  8. Finally some pictures!
  9. The brand is Hakko. I haven't measured it, but if it's anywhere close to my sussex scope which is identical to the scope used on Boba Fett, it should be around 28.5 cm.
  10. Should be easy approval, but I need to see close ups on the hovi's and lenses.
  11. And by being one of the few, and certainly the best, maker of hero helmets is a great thing for the community. Keeps people away from crooks like AA.
  12. I'm a fan of the stunt helmet, but you make the hero look good!
  13. I wish they could source more of the plastic, and at cheaper prices. No doubt that for the ultimate accuracy amongst the hardcore collectors price is of little issue, but it is pretty pricy for the others of us. Either way, these helmets are no doubt a milestone in TK history.
  14. It's a good idea. It's cheap and saves you on a ton of clamps. Get some that are maybe ½ inch or bigger and as strong N-rating as you can. Just be careful, they can pinch you really bad.
  15. I guess that depends on what kind of glue you use. But should it come off it's just a matter of either re-gluing or replacing (dirt cheap). So it's up to you.
  16. No problem. And don't worry about cover strips. It's easier to build with than it looks. What kit do you have btw?
  17. What I'm talking about is my personal opinion, not what's in the CRL. Currently there is nothing stopping you from using overlap assembly for centurion level (although I disagree with that). Using cover strips for a ANH/ESB armour is in my mind the only way to go if you have any intention of looking accurate. If you built the armour with E-6000 as your glue, then it should be easy to take it apart and redo it with cover strips. That's what I would do. But I can't tell you what to do, since this is not a requirement. It's up to you.
  18. You can get off-white belts from tkittell
  19. What a beauty!! And that blaster stand, and base plate you have there kicks an impolite person!
