Don't worry about that. You'll get what you paid for. I'm in a similar situation but I'm not very worried. Patience is key in this hobby.
  3. Hehe. Not as much as making educated guesses from already disclosed clues. Like it being an older photo, and the limited number of armour makers active a few years ago.
  4. I'm gussing it's a GF suit?
  5. Yeah that must have been a challenge! One ESB lid is often more than enough. Let alone 6! Insane.
  6. I would say yes to that. Although it should be pretty much cut & paste at that point.
  7. If you build it for centurion requirements, getting it approved for EIB should be a walk in the park, so I don't see that as an issue.
  8. Nope. ATA simply supplies 2 sets of stunt ears in case you mess up the first pair, you have a spare set.
  9. You're sort of correct. Although you're welcome here with our without costume. The only difference is that once you have an approved costume you can see some more sections on the forum and apply for EIB and Centurion. So welcome and good luck with your death trooper.
  10. Yeah. There's a sticky-thread about it here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14126

If it's something someone else on staff could help you with, feel free to try them instead as well. We don't keep a team of staff around just to put all the burden on one person.

Don't worry guys. Worst case scenario is you may need to send your PM again. On staff we sometimes get swamped with PM's and some get lost in the mess.
  13. All in all I think it's pretty well executed, considering some of the inaccuracies inherited in the armour used. What I would recommend is lowering the biceps a bit, cutting the cover strip higher up near the end of the thighs so that it doesn't overlap the raised portion that runs along the bottom of the thighs, and replacing the thigh ammo belt with a new one to get the right curve at the bottom corners of that belt. I think making those mods would be cheap and easy and would bring the overall look up another notch. It's not stopping you from approval however. Congratulations trooper!
  14. I think we have a winner. Well done guys!
  15. That could be the case. In case it doesn't work. Try buying a new can from another vendor to be sure you get a different batch.
  16. I honestly can't concieve how you can have these problems. For me it's always been super easy. Shake well before opening, and paint. Leave for 6 hours. Never had any problems.
  17. That's awesome I'm currently a fett builder myself (which is how I knew of your work). It would be awesome to hire you for a paint job sometime.
  18. Just make sure that the paint is stirred or shaked real good, and let it sit over night and you should be fine. Shaking or stirring the paint for several minutes before painting is critical with humbrols.
  19. Everyone not using FX need to do that. Even Luke Skywalker (take a close look at the prison rescue scene).
  20. It's not impossible that it could be the thigh. But I think it's unlikely since it came from LFL together with the torso which is a Sandtrooper torso. So my guess is it came into private hands before ESB filmed. However, I think only RS can really answer that question. Great research on your part though. This is the kind of work that makes progress. Again, I think it's best RS tells us themselves what had to be re-made from missing parts, but I think it's only the thermal detonator, Ab plate button plate, Ab 4 button strip, Hand guards and the TK and TD knee plates.
  21. We're also talking about grandfathering it, which if it passes would not allow new members to wear it.
  22. Until recently no one made PVC armour. We don't really care what the armour is made of, as long as it looks the part.
  23. They are pretty much the same. More important is assembly. A different assembly can make a helmet both larger and smaller.
