  1. I think it is a doopydoo because it looks like one (moulded T-track, squared mag end-plate and so on). And I think what they are selling is the finished product, not a kit. That would be the only way to warrant the £60 price difference between doopy's £40 and their £100.
  2. Can't you just repaint your drop boxes instead?
  3. I'm cool with that.
  4. Looking forward to a set of suited up pictures when you think you're ready for it. The blaster weathering turned out great!
  5. Yes, you get to keep your centurion badge with your new armour. Well done.
  6. I agree about the belt and tube stripes. Both are too wide to make me comfortable. It would also benefit you greatly to cut off some length from the canvas belt and trim off the excess on the top and bottom of the plastic portion on the belt, so the boxes are flush with the edges. Or at least closer to. About the ABS re-forming. You'll feel once it starts to go soft. Be very careful at this point because the last bit goes very quickly. Better to stop heating when it's a little soft than to push that extra few degrees and see your plastic fold over itself. Other than that, I have no further comments. You're almost there!
  7. Yes that is a good kit. I it is complete as far as you only need to get a scope rail for it. You can make that yourself from aluminium or buy one from evil boy here on the forum. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
  8. Looks like a Doopydoo kit they built up and re-sell.
  9. I would go with the lower end measurement, since the slim belt is one of the ROTJ trademarks. But you should of course do what you think is best.
  10. You're right. I'm just trying to understand the situation and keep updated on who supplies what. Including their size.
  11. A number would be helpful. 1.5 inches more than the CRL could be anything between 3.75" to 4".
  12. How wide is your belt really? The CFO belts have been good to go before. And I doubt CFO would send you a belt they know is too wide.
  13. The are out to the sides as far as they will go in this picture: And that is fine for me. The real "problem" is that the rivets holding the plastic to the canvas belt are not positioned properly. The should be further out to the side. This is an easy mistake, and I made the same mistake when I built an RS this summer. It's an easy mistake because the RS belt comes with formed indentations that fools you into thinking the rivets should go there. If you're not thinking about it, it's very easy to just go with those. That creates the problem that the drop boxes cannot sit further out to the sides, since the are blocked by these rivets.
  14. The drop boxes move around when the belt is not snapped onto the armour.
  15. Did you have to dig up that old junk?
  16. And I'm still learning new things. It was not long ago that the boot brand was made public for example.
  17. That would be lovely of you if you could! I'm guessing most of their colours are still made so comparing an old tin to a new one should be possible regardless of which paints your BF has saved.
  18. Yeah, you get to keep your EIB. Looking good!
