  1. I'm 5'10" Then the boots add an inch and the helmet adds a few more. But the Mannequin its self is about 6'2", then add the boots and helmet and its 6'5" or so. It dwarfs me when I stand next to it. I have it positioned so that its got the "at the ready" look staring down anyone that enters my front door. Its always amusing to see the reaction of a first time visitor to my house
  2. Yep, I've never in my life heard of Gino burning someone in a business deal. Its a safe and well placed investment.
  3. So this is for just the required greeblies and not the whole blaster? Ive seen the complete blasters for sale before and at one point I was working on just the greeblies but I was never happy with my models and scrapped the plan. ESB greeblies by themselves to outfit existing blasters would be awesome!!!
  4. Tantive boarding, no question.
  5. Actually a Gino bucket is far from an AP. Number one is the materials. The Gino helmet is pulled in HIPS 60 and will show MUCH MORE details than the ABS 80 helmet provided by AP. Secondly the AP is a more sanitized version which as far as accuracy goes places the Gino helmet head and shoulders above the AP. Dont get me wrong. AP's are great helmets and alot more durable than the Gino. Ones for trooping and the other is for putting on a shelf Not to mention the number of AP buckets in circulation vs the number of Gino Helmets.
  6. Happy Birthday Paul! Congrats on being 10 years older than me yet look 10 years younger
  7. I just tape mine in with masking tape.
  8. You can find HIPS armor cheaper, not ABS as being sold in the subject auction. Cheapest ABS armor in the states is VT and it comes with a helmet and usually went for about $700 on ebay. Haven't seen his products on ebay lately though so I am unsure if he still sells.
  9. Im not familiar with the seller but it looks like a sound buy to me.
  10. Paul you couldn't have hit it on the head any closer to that.
  11. Hmmmm.... Its a good looking helmet. And despite my opinion of Gino its a tempting buy. I still think I'd rather sit back and see how his sincerity plays out.
  12. Since you are going all out on this dont forget to trim that trigger up to make it look closer to the real thing. I bet this is gonna be sweet when youre done!
  13. It appears that this is a fraud. After swapping a couple emails I realized the emails were too impersonable to be real. I guess his email has been hijacked. Its still a pretty nasty scheme. Thanks for everyone that volunteered
  14. Thats ridiculous. Some people. Any service provided buy TK 4510 is superior and secured.
  15. This morning i got this in my inbox: I'm writing this with tears in my eyes,my fam and I came down here to Wales,United Kingdom for a short vacation unfortunately we were mugged at the park of the hotel where we stayed all cash, credit card and cell were stolen off from us luckily for us we still have our passports with us. We've been to the United State Embassy and the Police here in Wales but they're not helping issues at all but we're having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills,i'm freaked out at the moment... Dean Goulet. Dean is a stand up guy that i have known for many years. If anybody near Wales can provide some sort of support for them please send me a message so I can get you in contact with him. Even if its a just a place to crash for a night it would be appreciated. Thanks Smitty
  16. Armor maker: TE2 Helmet/GF Armor Height: 5'10" Weight: #145 Chest: 36" No Shims anywhere Waist: 36" Thighs: 20" Biceps: 12" Forearm: 10"
  17. Rubbish, send it to me ----- Looks like a great helmet to me, TE2?
  18. Your best bet on armor is ATA. Not as expensive as the rest but just as good. Just remember you arent just paying for plastic, your paying for someones time and effort to make sure you get a good looking set of armor. Welcome to the FISD!
  19. I have seen that exact same helmet posted on ebay before even had the name John written inside like on this one in particular. Utter BS.
  20. Man that looks great! Definitely one of the best looking Hasbro Mods out there! Glad I could help out!
  21. YES ALWAYS PRIME BEFORE PAINTING. Its like a cardinal rule of painting. I could see making a TD and not priming first as a way of messying up the paint job a bit to maybe add to the weathering. But if you want a nice shiney TK, you will need to prime it. Paint doesn't stick to everything very good but primer does a very good job at sticking to everything. So the primer sticks verywell to the plastic and in turn sticks to the paint very well in effect glueing your paint to your armor. Unprimed armor is more prone to runs, drips and pitting during painting and after painting is more prone to chipping and flaking.
  22. MOT's stuff is crap. 60 guage HIPS isn't gonna last very long trooping. Not to mention the guy recasted it from TE2 without even a thank you.
  23. Thats looking great. It needs some T track tho
  24. Heck yeah bro awesome job! Great pics too. I wish i could have made the Cherry Blossom parade but I see all the regulars showed up! Go Georgia Garrison!
