After putting my armor on with belt, I taped my thighs in place. marked where the drop boxes hung down and glued my snaps to my thighs on that line.
Yes, the straps are hidden behind the drop boxes on mine.

I'm sure it would work and yes, as long as you cannot see wires or holes in the drop boxes it will pass EIB.
You'll hate it later when people are laughing at you because the sound is coming out of your crotch. I got it all the time when my speakers were down there. Never again.
Not too bad. I would suggest filming it again but not aiming the camera directly at a light. Everything is so very dark and back lit so you can't see the actual elements very well.
Nice work on the comm system though.
October 27th, 2007 was the day I received my approval email. I spent 2 hours outside doing yard work while waiting for the email hoping it would come that day and it did.
I started the 501st Legion as a Mountain Garrison member and about 5 months later transferred to Garrison Carida® when I moved back east to be closer to family.
It would certainly be better if Mark could do it.
Here is what I did. Probably not as good as he would as this is more his design and he knows what he did with all the others.
The ear isn't finished. I beliebe it should be stroked around teh outside of the gray shape as well as having a black bar over one or more of the ribs. I could be wrong and you don't really need it but I have never seen one without it.
This is how my hero helmet is. I am not completely sure it is different for a Stunt.

I second what Jesse said. It's been great working with everyone and am happy that I had something to offer to this project. I also am very much looking forward to getting cards. I will likely put off my order so that I might be able to get my EIB first as I am just so darn close to getting it already.
I've never had problems with paint sticking to ABS. And I've never sanded or primered.. Of course I have never painted a full helmet before. Just the frown and chin.
I wear Nomex flight gloves. While not screen accurate, they fit more in the universe of Star Wars but they sure are comfortable.
Who else wears rubber gloves for their uniform? Those silly TK's.
I glued my shoulder straps on the front as well. I use 1/8" white elastic strap just as they do in the movies.
I used Goop in the hollow ribbed area and CA glue around the very edge to glue it.

I'd like to see a more chiseled version of the chest plate that works for a female. I think the IK armor in the comics has a similar style like this.
I've thought about attempting it myself and letting someone else do the pulls for me but i have neither the time nor skills to do that so I just sit back and wish.
Personally I like your version better, Julie.
