  1. Man, I can't believe it that ended at $52.usd, the resin in it probably cost more than that!
  2. HEY ! This is A Star Wars Forum NOT A Star Trek Forum !!! NO TREKKIES ALLOWED !!!!! FREEZE THAT MAN IN CARBONITE!!!!!! LOL just kidding I love Star trek too!! I remember watching the Oniginal series as I was growing up in the 70's and 80's, and having the Mego figures. Then I got into the Next Generation and Deep Space 9. But I hate Voyager. For 7 years, it was the same thing over and over. They would go into an area of space where the alien life forms told them "to leave now". Janeway always tried to be a diplomat but always ended up doing something reckless at the end. I thought when 7 of 9 came aboard, there was going to be some good controversy on the show, but all it did was make me yawn! I could go on about the rest of the cast members, but they were too boring to acknowledge, except for the Doc. He was the only shining light on that whole miserable series. I reallly got ticked off when they only made 4 seasons of Enterprise When it came to Enterprise, I couldn't understand why people didn't get into it. I guess the fan base had lost interest in Star Trek at the time. In my belief it was a very strong show, with great cast members, just the wrong time. ALL the Trek movies were great except for Trek 5 (The Final Frontier) Shatner needed to stay away from directing! I wish they could have gotten Sean Connery to have played Spock's half brother, since the part was actually written for him. But, Connery was already pinned down for the Hunt For Red October. When I saw they were trying to revamp the original series in a major motion picture, with all new poeple playing iconic characters, that Shatner, Nemoy and Kelly embodied, I did not think that it was going to "live long and prosper". After seeing it in the theatre, I thought it was an extremely well made picture, well cast, well written movie. I was even a little worried that even if it was a well acted movie, how were they going to surprise the true die hard trekkies? But, with a story plot twist, I think it was proven that a new version of an old thing will have a new life after all. So, to give you my answer, Sonnenschein, am I also a trekkie?? I can only say one thing K......A .....H..... N......!!!!!!!
  3. SWEET!!! that's one cool lookin' bucket!
  4. Hey Caleb, You probably thought I forgot about working on the display case for your TE ROTJ suit. I wanted to run one of the concepts for it by you before I get a parts list together for you and how to put it together. I have another idea for a different concept, but still working out some of the kinks before I show it to you. This display I call, Fallen Warrior. My thoughts on it were that the armor was from a fallen Stormtrooper. To have the armor laid out as a tribute on display, like you might see in a museum. The concept of the plaque has the added cog. I just put some writing on the plaque just to give you an idea of what it would look like once you had it engraved. You can go to any trophy shop and have them use any style font and color of material for the plaque. Let me know what you like or dislike about the concepts and I will work with you on making the changes if you have any ideas.
  5. The base actually does go into the heel of the mannequin's left foot, but that is not how I am using it. I got a piece of flat iron at the hardware store. I connected, it to the original base that came with the mannequin. I attached the flat iron with a couple of expander bolts (like the kind you put into a wall when you don't have a stud). All you have to do is pull the leg of the undersuit to just above the calf, attach the flat iron by tightening the two bolts to the calf, slip the leg of the undersuit back down. It covers without any problems. Then put your calf armor on. That's it. You can't even tell with the undersuit and armor, that the flat iron is even there. There is no need to cut holes in any shoe, armor, undergarmet, etc. Only the mannequin was harmed in this process
  6. Hey Andy, It is a nice looking bucket. Just wondered if it is styrene and what gauge?
  7. I love me some toasty guts, blood, and assorted alien goo,
  8. That one is out of stock. I talked to one of their customer service reps and they told me sold out and not going to have any more. I asked them why the heck do you still show it on your site? This is what is wrong with the internet. There is a bunch of "inter Nuts" on it!! Hey Panda, I am still swingin' for a home run for ya.. I have not gotten to all the stores in my area that might have them. To quote Yoda, "do or do not, there is no try".
  9. Yes, it's a reworked FX bucket. If you are going to be cleared for the 501st you will need to look into a more accurate bucket. There is an AP on the ongoing sales and project orders on the FISD, that ABS80 is selling at $199 brand new kit. About $76 off of his normal price. That bucket should get you where you want ot go!
  10. It is not hard to get the boots on the mannequins feet. I wear a size 11 and the mannequins' is about a size 9. It is meant for displaying shoes and clothes. I picked this mannequin because of his features due to it being 5'10' the optimal height that Geoge Lucas liked his stormtroopers. This mannequin also wasn't built like Arnold Schwartzenegger. It also didn't have the foot long (sequoia) neck that makes what most display there armor on look like a "bobble head" when you get the helmet on it. Out of the box, no he is not going to be able to hold the E-11. But, it is made out of fiberglass and can easily be cut and spliced . I am working on the thumb by cutting the original one off and replacing it with a heavy duty electrical cable that is easily flexed/bendable into what ever position I put it in. As for the elbows, cut them and put a pin hinge system into it. Kind of like the old GI Joe action figure. Got a little more tweaking to do and haven't had time to take any pics. When it done, I will post some pics. It may be a little bit of work, but at $110 and about $25 worth of add ons, it still beats the price of the pre-flexi.

  12. I usually go and see a movie before I hear any opinions about it, so I don't have any bias. But, I have been skeptical about this movie since the teaser. I know Cameron is a strong director/story teller, but everyone has their bad days. We have all seen that with the other pillars of Hollywood, Lucas, Spielberg, Coppola. But with the numbers that Avatar is pulling, do you think it is a great movie or is the world just hungry for any entertainment? This past weekend Avatar grossed $68,300,000 and has cumulativly grossed $352,111,000 and has only been out 3 weeks and being shown in 3,461 theatres.

  18. Hey Stephen, There is an easy way to strengthen your helmet, by taking cloth or very thin canvas and soaking it in E-6000. Then wall paper it to the inside of the areas of your helmet that are extremely thin. You said you are having trouble discerning where to trim the cap n back and faceplate on your helmet. Here is a tutorial by Mike TK4510 of him building a TE2 helmet that I up loaded to YouTube. The Helmet he has in the video has some problems on were to cut the cap n back and faceplate and I think it will help you to see the way he does it in the video..... 21 PARTS: 01 movealong Cutting the faceplate : 02 movealong Cutting the faceplate : 03 movealong Cutting the faceplate : 04 movealong Cutting the faceplate : 05 movealong Cutting the faceplate : 06 movealong Cutting the Bumpy Cap n' Back : 07 movealong Cutting the Bumpy Cap n' Back : 08 movealong Cutting the Bumpy Cap n' Back : 09 movealong tools you will need : 10 movealong Cutting the Ears : 11 movealong Cutting the Ears : 12 movealong Cutting the Ears : 13 movealong Cutting the Ears: 14 movealong Mounting the Faceplate to the Bumpy Cap n' Back: 15 movealong Mounting the Ears: 16 movealong Mounting the Ears: 17 movealong Mounting the Ears: 18 movealong Assembly Wrap Up: 19 movealong Spray Painting: 20 movealong Spray Painting: 21 movealong Spray Painting:
