  1. As many of you may now be aware, yesterday evening justjoseph63 tendered his resignation as detachment leader to the FISD staff. The Legion COG team was then notified of this, who today accepted this resignation and have now begun to take the appropriate actions as defined by the Operations Protocols. What does this mean for the detachment? The OP provides for 2 options: The XO may step up and assume the DL position, subject to a confidence vote by the detachment membership. Should the XO not be willing, and emergency election will be held. As XO I have informed the LCOG team that I am willing to assume the DL role. Details of the confidence vote can be found in this detachment members only post: At this time I would like to request you honour Josephs request for privacy in this matter. This was not a decision that he came to lightly. I am sure you will all join me in wishing Joseph the best in what must be difficult times.

  6. Loving the effect of cold casting and the result when the black paint is buffed back to reveal the brass! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  7. I touched up the paint, there is now a toothpicks width between the gray and white plastic on all sides. Also I did my best to clean up the voicecoder. Let me know what you think!

  9. 1) a good guide for assembling the belt (I want to know how far I need to cut it, where to rivet and any general dimensions). Varies from maker to maker 2) is there an approved way to make the thigh pieces wider? Right now getting both sides closed is almost impossible. Maybe a bigger strip in the back? Any photos of such fixes would be greatly appreciated! Larger cover strip on rear may be allowable, check with your GML as it is up to them if they will approve. If it's too big a gap you may need to add some more material to the sides on the rear. Some links in this thread: Third bonus question: for the strips that seem the armor together, is there a specific width they should be? I saw a pic from someone’s post using 15mm but I haven’t seen that written anywhere. Forearms and biceps 15mm Thighs and shin front 20mm Shin rear 25mm

  12. and at last.... 100!!!! 3/2/24 - Destination Imagination State Tournament 100th!!!! TK TROOP!!!!!! And 5th for 2024. 100!!! It seems a little silly but my feeling of accomplishment for this is huge right now. I've been thinking about this since last December, but couldn't make that many troops due to life reasons. It had to wait till March. Five days after surgery to remove one of my balls due to testicular cancer. The extra room in my cod piece is very noticeable! I couldn't troop more than about 90 minutes but it still counted and I'm so proud. Less proud of how I held my little sign... fingers over the P and S... but you can't win them all and we TKs don't have legendary aim anyway. With Brandon and Ben. Brandon was there at my first troop. I bet we'll be together for 200. Group selfie! This was a big STEM tournament at a school and the kids LOVED having us there. No way to stop taking group pix with them. We'd be clear for like 5 seconds and then another bunch would gather us up for another group pic. Which was great! I just wanted one with our group tho. Heidi debuted her Nihilus today, which was awesome. Her very first 501st troop! She's the lady Jedi (Master Kai) who's in so many selfies above. And Mabel. Little Mabel absolutely loved all of the attention. Very rarely was she able to walk anywhere. Mostly it was just kids rubbing her belly and giving her love. She's very good at her job. This was the end of my VERY FIRST troop so many light years and parsecs ago. Froyo with my buddy Gus. And the end of Troop 100 - Froyo with my darling wife Sarah. Same froyo, same armor, just a whole lot more light years on it. 100 troops. More room in my codpiece. Life is good.

  14. Oh yeah! I work at the makerspace at my college and we had a guy laser cutting clear acrylic pieces which go into these. They look very nice and not a bad idea for a hologram. I actually ended up going with these puck lights on amazon. They are battery powered which is good for holding in my hand which will hopefully look nice in fun pictures and such. I'll post a picture once they come in and I mess around with it a bit! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RQMC2S2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

  15. These are quite cheap and make a good base. I did see a 3D outer shell "Star Wars" inspired, which goes over these stands in my travels, I'll have to see if I can track it down again

  17. Nice work trooper, we do have a pre approval area for more feed back https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/193-request-tk-pre-approval/ 1-My chest plate keeps wanting to slide behind my ab plate. Any suggestions to fix this? Tighter strapping / double elastic, or even extra straps. 2-Knee plate keeps wanting to go up and under my thigh plate. I get the sense I need to raise both my calves about an inch and that should be solved. Any suggestions on how to implement that? Add foam behind the sniper plate, generally helps, you can also add some foam on the inside rear of the thigh to help bring the thigh backwards at the front 3-I need to attach my belt to the front of the armor a bit more securely, but I have a plan in mind for that. Make sure you have curved your belt, helps to take some stress off, 3 snaps are normally tight enough 4-Popped the seam on my left forearm getting my hand through while wearing my glove with the flexible hand cover. Would it be possible/easier to put the glove on after the forearm? Or do I just need to work the angle a bit better Normally I put the gloves on after the forearms are on, hopefully you roughed both the forearm and coverstrip with some coarse sandpaper before applying glue, helps give something to grip too Watch the closure of your shins, there shouldn't be gaps at the top ridges and alignment. You can also use some ABS paste to fill the lower thigh ridge gaps Position of detonator, not centered. Shoulder straps not sitting center to each side of the backplate. Left bicep not under shoulder Shin coverstrips do not cover all the area before ridges Ideally should be not gap between the backplate and kidney Bit hard to tell if your rivets in the thigh ammo strip have been painted? Same with side rivets, no paint. Alignment of ab to kidney at the top You may also want to trim the length of the belt, it's almost touching your holster straps Should only be 2 connectors for STUNT belt not 4 (HERO), also gap to belt Shoulder bells are sitting high over your shoulders? Bell is pushing up your left, not sure what is going on with the right, does look high do you have straps attached to shoulder straps? Forearms touching handplates, move your biceps and forearms upwards to give some gap Vocoder black paint not very defined No paint on gums Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. You may also want to check the position of your shoulder straps, appear at different positions but may be the photo/lean You could also add some ABS stips behind your ab/kidney to stop the sides pushing outwards. Glue them to the kidney and they will be forced to stay behind the ab plate.

  18. Here's the latest photos the armorer sent me. Needed to clean the right ear where some paint had run. This is pre straps.
