  1. I've really appreciated everyone taking time to welcome me and share advice about getting started. It's made the process a lot more accessible and put my mind more at ease to see how many people are willing to help. I'm really eager to get into a suit, but for the time being I'm going to continuing researching. @TheRascalKing and @Oztrooper thanks for reaching out regarding the SCG for OC, CA! I'm stoked to hear of the armor party coming up. I've reached out to one of the reps via the FB and I hope to attend in a few weeks. I'd love to see some kits in person and get more visual understanding of the process before I commit to DIY or commission. Regardless of attending the party or not, I'm sure I'll reach out for advice one of these days. Thank you! I hope to follow up here shortly with news on a kit so I can transition to a build thread :) Thanks again to everyone - I've really enjoyed the advice and kindness!

  2. Welcome to the FISD Robert! This makes me happy to read and makes me confident that you are approaching your build in a perfect way! It's all about research and a little more research, and you have all of us on the forum to lean up against when you have any doubts! Since you want to rise in the ranks; what I did when first joining FISD and was waiting on my kit, was to scour through Centurion submissions to see what the D.Os had comments on - to potentially catch any errors before submitting!

  4. Arms done except I have to wait for the coverstrips to be printed. I shaped the forearms with a heatgun as the ROTK ones appear to be more rounded rather than the oval shape of the OT.

  6. Put the TD together and decided to have the end caps removable for no real reason really..put some tape on the ends for a preasure fit. God thing because I think I will cut the pipe a bit shorter. Glued on the other parts and after some back and forth decided to use magnets to mount it on the belt. I didn’t take a photo but the inside of the mount got filled with magnets I had on hand and then tried it out. It had a good strong hold but wanted to ad some more stability and minimize the risk of it sliding off. Decided to use chicago screw post so taped the magnets to the belt and put the TD on and drilled through the belt and into the TD. Seem to work fine but if it’s not holding up during troops I can just use screws to attach. It’s just tape at the moment but I will carefully lift the tape (obviosly remove the posts first)from one end put some glue on the magnets and posts and then just put the tape with magnets back on the belt. Easy peasy:)

  9. Welcome, Robert, and GREAT to hear that you are aiming to "rise in the ranks" with your upcoming build! The best way to accomplish this is to build to Centurion specs right out of the box. Making any changes is much easier during your journey rather than after. The one thing I stress to all new TK builders is "When in doubt, ask before cutting or gluing". We are here for ya' brother, so hit us up with any issues you may have, no matter how small.

  10. Hello all! Today was Big Brown Box day, and not even the setting sun could stop me from taking my approval photos (and admittedly having a little too much fun walking around the house kitted up). As with others, I hope the more experienced here will be able to spot any flaws that need addressing and I will work on them ASAP. Name: Ian ObjioFuture garrison: Carolina GarrisonArmor manufacturer: RS PropmastersHelmet manufacturer: RS Propmasters Belt, neck seal, boot and blaster manufacturer: RS PropmastersInterior strapping: RS Propmasters strapping and some self-installed snaps and elastic for alterations.Height: 5' 11" Weight: 206 lbsTK Type: ESB Stunt After reviewing the photos, I noticed the right thigh drooping a bit. I had previously shortened the straps, and I guess I measured wrong. One more thing to be fixed!

Can someone advise what i need to do next please and then how i should progress. Thanks in advance.
