Good news!
Finally made the required changes, and have just been approved! Little longer than I had planned, but slow progress is better than no progress!
Taken on most of the advice here, and am happy to wear the FISD badge again!
Ok, updated based on your recommendations. Thank you.
Updated the TD to match the TLJ CRL.
Straightened up the back and minded my posture.
Added several changes to the upper gaskets to fit it better. The forearms are up as high as I can get them on the gasket sleeve without cracking. An elastic thumb strap helps pull it further down into the gauntlet and gives a little more space between that and the glove.

Worry not, Seth! All of us had that "blue boxes" at one point. =) Self-dressing can definitely be challenging, and even now I need somebody to assist me with several things. Just keep chipping away, focusing on one item at a time. We'll get you approved here in no time!
I don't have any photos handy, I just have a tab of velcro hanging down from the bottom of the shin front and back and velcro on the bottom inside of the spat font and back, the shins are angled downwards so the spats can't work there way up when closed and tight.
No hate. I need to listen to my photographer better.
Can you link to how you or others are securing the spat with velcro? Mine seem to want to inch up. The gasket may be too thick to stay down given the slight upward angle the shin has.
Nice work trooper

Just my opinion, but ANH stormtrooper is "the classic original" which is why I chose it, also I think ANH totally embodies what the original stormtroopers are all about. My TK ID was also chosen based on the quote "TK-421 why aren't you at your post?"
