Contrary to popular belief I can also be more generalized too. Can't speak for the rest of you.4 points

Time to start thinking about making the belt. First I added some hook Velcro to the front tab and side tabs, since the back of the belt is lined with loop Velcro, then wrapped the belt around: It is huge and needs to be shortened: This will include unstitching some of the Velcro on the back of the belt, and cutting the rubber. Not ready for that today. So I moved on to more strapping. I’m going to reuse my garter belt from my ANH Stunt TK (top right in picture), so I made four looped straps that will have buckles on the bottom for adjusting the thighs (top left in picture). And I attached the buckles to elastics that will go inside the shoulder bells (bottom left in picture): I’ll attach these inside the shoulder bells once I figure out how low the biceps needs to hang.4 points

Five and a half months between deposit and final payment today but Dave said he's shipping it tomorrow! Florida to Ontario should be a fast trip for the BBB.3 points

Its big update time I changed some parts with the Denuo Novo kit. New bicep armor The ab armor was the most time consuming part. As I will never ever fit into the standard Anovos ab armor (I'd need to cut my pelvic bone lol), I decided to go with the DN parts and add 5cm of material on each side. And because Im super OCD, I bondoed the seams with 2part exoxy glue. For the ouside boxes it was lots of measuring to get it nice and accurately on the new area but I think it looks good now The inside is reinforced with fiberglass. There wont break anything. I reinforced the cast from original detonator with fiberglass as well. Also I built the spats that I made for this project. The back/joke has also added material. Also I cut in the slots for the straps that hold the shoulders. Last time I forgot to add these and before I rechrome that part, I thought that I add them this time. Almost all parts laid out. -- So all parts that needs to be grey are at the paintshop again. All parts that need rechroming, are at the chromers. This time I'll use a different company which does the silver nitrate procedure. They do the back/joke and spats asap so I get them before Celebration. After that I probably get everything redone, depending on how good they match the golden color3 points

Hey! For the calves (and other armor parts), make sure you don't trim all from one side of opening. You want to trim equally from both sides, and how much you trim depends on the size of your calves. I ended up with about 1/2" from the molded in raise area to the cut. I found the easiest way to cut is with a Dremel on slow to moderate speed, but this sends bits of plastic flying. Make sure you wear a mask and eye protection. Draw a line with a pencil and cut as straight as you can. You can also scribe and snap but this is harder because of the curves. These cut edges now butt up against one another. To make the cover strip, I used the rear part of the belt. You have to get rid of this anyways, so don't be afraid to cut it into strips. I'd suggest using this plastic as it is the same color of your armor, so a color shift with other white plastic won't be noticed. SDS armor has a very nice light cream tone, while other manufacturers almost use pure white. For the rear cover strip (25mm), measure exactly 12.5mm down the middle of the back side and draw a line with a pencil. Place some E6000 glue on one side of the line and clamp it to the correct piece of the calf. Make sure you clamp to the correct piece!!! The 12.5mm overhang now receives new velcro. Let me know if you need any more help. And good luck!!!2 points

One other thing: I MAY have some small hardware bits (screws, rivets, etc) or extra leather for the holster. I'll check my spare parts box. Let me know if you can't source it when the time comes.1 point

I assume you are referring to the Anovos helmet. I can assure you it is 100% asymmetrical. Look at the eyes, the vocoder, etc.1 point

It already paid off once that they don't display the original suit. their showroom got wiped out by a fire (1 or 2 years ago iirc). the important casts and original armor survived due to being stored off-site. as a IT-guy says: off-site backups are always recommended.1 point

I hate it so much that I now work in a gypsom mine and never have to touch pipe and if I ever do I'll make my apprentice do it haha. I had no idea things have changed! I will have to think about if I want to change mine up. Thanks guys.1 point

I'm questioning whether or not I need to contact DDD. I got the message last week he would have the final Balances by the weekend. Well, it's Monday and I don't want to be pushy...1 point

Hey Terry, start your build thread and post it here. When I called Dave last week I believe he said there were 32 or 35 of us in this run so you will have a lot of support if you keep it up to date. I'm excited to watch your progress and hopefully we are able to help each other in the adventure. OH! Biggest piece of advice I have from previous builds, and honestly one I wish I heeded a lot faster when I was told, wear cut proof gloves and always cut away from yourself lol1 point

This is what I'm thinking. It seems odd to cut the top off the right side and the bottom of the left just to make the ridges line up perfectly. I'll glue it up and if for some reason it doesn't fly it'll be an easy fix. At least easier than trying to fix something I've already chopped off. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk1 point
