  1. Just gonna add some advice/observations out from someone who has done this The tolerance for the black sections is tiny. When I was trying to refit my teeth/tears it was a nightmare. I had to sand back everything to the base plastic. That was after this happened though This meant buying a whole new lid just to get that piece. The top tabs can be removed/sanded off as it stays in place without needing them. I managed to get the black sections back on but probably could have sanded the paint back more to get a much closer fit. There are some very small gaps on mine, but I’d have to point them out for you to notice. I ditched the black inserts on the cheeks and used some 1.5mm styrene cut to shape and then added vinyl on top. The black section running around the bottom is not uniform in height. If you have a template then you’ll be in a good place I used a straight strip on black vinyl and then had to pull it quite tight near the front to stop it overlapping. Overall I feel it’s a budget friendly way of getting a TLJ specific lid, it’s just a bit scary along the way. Denuo Novo lid is three times as much and doesn’t seem to have the right clip.

  4. Looks much better. As an example and it's not a requirement just a suggestion DO's aren't that strict on this item. Note: Top ear screws should ideally be located directly below the rear of the trap.

  5. Ok, so, I’m feeling really good about this helmet! Later this afternoon I’ll go back to working on the arms and legs. I have $50 worth of magnets coming in today lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. This is a common issue, in my case what worked for me was to put a piece of velcro into the shin and in front side of the boot to keep the aligment.

  9. Just make sure that you look at the reference material before drilling the holes! The video tutorial didn't have 100% accurate positioning of the screws, and personally I don't like the little bend he did at the end there This Compared to this

  10. THERMAL DETONATOR: I obtained a surplus detonator from a HKG teammate to replace the ROTJ one today.

  17. Hi Troopers, Just checking in with some more build progress. I've finally installed the elastics on my forearm/biceps...now, it took me some time to commit to the position, but in the end i decided i would go with something in-between the seam line and the position Dan (cableguy) suggested in one of his videos. Sort of a happy medium. I also had the pleasure of meeting with my Armorer (Brian) from my local Garrison (ISG) at a comic con at the weekend. I spoke with Brian for a lengthy time and he helped to advise me to lose the return edges on my forearms at the wrists. Another job ticked from my to do list.

  18. Ciao Tony! That is just a beautiful radio! Great find!!! Probably one of the most coveted found parts in SW! And it is without a doubt, the Holly Grail for Sandtroopers! I cant help but ask, did you find it online? I have spent thousands of hours, literally, and I am sure many others have too, searching for that radio online and offline. It is too much for my OCD to think that I have not search in the right places or times... But, on the other hand, makes me happy that it ends up in the hands of someone who appreciates it. As other have said, If you ever decide to sell it, for a fair price, put me down on the list! Big congrats!!! This gives the rest of us hope, cause they are out there, awaiting for us to find them. Saludos.

  19. I think it's the same helmet. Good eye, David The RS suit will never be identified on screen, only parts of it will. It's a mix and match of parts so it would be virtually impossible to identify it. I would imagine that the trooper armour got juggled around between takes and even more so after filming, so I wouldn't expect any possible found suits in the future will match any on screen. I am sure as time goes by that more and more photos will emerge from behind the scenes, we may possibly identify certain parts, but matching them on screen will be tough.
