  4. Greeting all Please all join me in congratulation TK61490 TheRascalKing (Justin) on achieving two awards in this last week. Firstly he has completed the requirements for our first level Armorers award And secondly a 3D contributors award for his efforts in assisting with the development and refinement of some 3D printable First Order TK greeblies. He was also instrumental in getting these files offered up to our members free of charge, so please visit our 3D section and check them out.

  5. That is a GREAT image. I’m going to use that one to find the right color paint. Also gives us the name of the mortar launcher. Model 201. I’ll work on photoshopping that later for the CRL

  7. I took that picture of the commander and brightened it in hopes of seeing the dark areas. Think it’s safe to say unribbed.

  10. I’m leaning towards just getting a regular suit like all the other ones to start, then modifying it if it comes out the thighs are indeed unribbed.

  11. 1: The issue with changing your ears is finding some from a maker with the right shade of white, we see very different shades from one maker to the next, some also look cream when compared, depends also what they are supplied. TM (troopermaster) does a Hero kit so you may be able to contact him. Note you can use 4 bumps for basic approval The “ear” bars may have three or four bumps 2: 2 attachments per strap 3: Some request an untrimmed thigh ammo belt from SDS, some purchase from another maker. As you can see by the references the thigh ammo belt wraps all the way around to both corners of the thigh. I think you will find it too short if you trim both the rounded areas off. 4: No they will not meet L3 approval. Your GML may allow for basic approval you would need to check Biceps must be constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. This is @Helotech's SDS upgrade thread you may find it helpful

  12. Yeah, I am just waiting to get it cleaned up and to make sure I do not have any small discrepancies and I will get all that corrected.

  13. Do you think the paint would be able to match the pauldron? In my opinion the pauldron seems a bit more tan than the paint of you compare the two. reposting again actually, looking at the two again.... they do look to be the same color, just fabric obviously won’t gleam as well as painted plastic does.

  14. Great news! Jim got back to me, his helmets have the chin gap detail molded in, so I suppose I’d just have to color it in black. And he said he can also do the pauldron in the custom yellow color as well.

  15. 850's suits are of lower quality and are made in ABS, which is unable to capture the sharp edges and details that are the hallmarks of the New Gen suits. They also have refused to accept feedback from the FISD and are unlikely to be approved at any level other than basic. I'd avoid them, but judge for yourself - one of theirs completed in-house on the bottom vs a Jimmiroquai suit on the top (admittedly mine). Ah gotcha, those might work then if they have the right shape, symmetry, and raised/beveled coverstrips!

  16. I was recently thinking more about the revival of my own HWT thread and came back to this AWESOME thread to find the images missing! But alas, the image links were still live (and simply not displaying), so I added this thread to my growing list of compiled PDF documents for posterity and ease of printing or display on tablets or mobile devices. HERE is the PDF! Thanks for the thorough evaluation and resource, Bradley!

  17. Uploaded! This vid was before I "dialed in" the voice amps and adjusted the condenser mic position in my bucket. It is a bit better now. And also setup my trooper chatter from an mp3 player to the voice amp in my ab plate along with wireless reciever for bucket audio. More pics and vid to come.
