Sorry, back to make some more trouble... Super. I totally understand that, but other detachments have set the example of not requiring a specific film in their CRL titles. I think "/Anthology, "/New Generation", or "/Non-Saga" amended to Rogue One are among the most popular suggestions for an alternative. What do we need to do to get that going? Shall we start a poll and let membership vote on the name change before submitting to the LMOs for approval? Let's make it happen! Originally, but we've grown! Not being "shiny white" is a different reasoning than "no one is prepared to make the costume". We have folks prepared to make the costume, but who are understandably hesitant considering the uncertainty of an approvable CRL moving forward. I would argue that the "Remnant Stormtrooper" belongs to FISD, on the documentation from LFL alone - it's a "Remnant STORMTROOPER", not "Sandtrooper". The weathering is distinctly different from previously seen Sandtroopers (the black chipping alone), and none have been seen with backpacks (I'd argue Jedha Patrol is a different scenario). There should be sufficient documentation of the angles, if not in their entirety, enough to piece together a full view of the costume. As previously mentioned, we've seen CRLs approved on less. One of us will plan to submit a more formal post in the near future (hopefully with additional input from @BigJasoni, @11b30b4, and some other key stakeholders), to show with certainty that the same armor has been used across multiple properties, warranting amendment of the "Rogue One Stormtrooper" CRL to an updated title, as well as the various required angles and differences for a NEW Remnant CRL to be developed, and once tentative approval is achieved, someone will move forward with building and submitting an example of the costume. Let's keep this going!3 points

Descriptions starwars.com STORMTROOPERS Stormtroopers are elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause. They wear imposing white armor, which offers a wide range of survival equipment and temperature controls to allow the soldiers to survive in almost any environment. Stormtroopers wield blaster rifles and pistols with great skill, and attack in hordes to overwhelm their enemies. Along with standard stormtroopers, the Empire has organized several specialized units, including snowtroopers and scout troopers. Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian THE NEW REPUBLIC Remnant Stormtroopers: In the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, the Empire is in disarray. Fragments of the former regime have gained footholds on distant worlds, trying to cling to what power they have. Wookieepedia Stormtroopers, nicknamed "bucketheads" and also known as Remnant Stormtroopers after the Battle of Endor, were the infantry soldiers of the Galactic Empire. The members of the Imperial Army's Stormtrooper Corps served on the frontline as elite shock troops, and their loyalty to the Empire was absolute as a result of their training. The stormtrooper armor that they wore consisted of white plastoid plates over a black body glove, and their standard weapon was the E-11 blaster rifle. In addition to the standard trooper, various specialized units such as scout troopers and snowtroopers comprised the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps. Stormtroopers served the Empire since its inception at the end of the Clone Wars when the Sith Lord Darth Sidious declared himself Galactic Emperor. The Galactic Republic was supplanted by the Empire, and the clone troopers who formed the backbone of the Grand Army of the Republic became the first generation of Imperial stormtroopers. During the early years of the Imperial Era, the cloning operation on Kamino was shut down as the Empire turned to conscription and recruitment in order to fill the stormtrooper ranks. The remaining clones were retired from service due to their rapid aging, their legacy inherited by natural-born humans who were also trained to render total allegiance to the Emperor and his New Order. Stormtroopers were spread throughout the galaxy during the Emperor's reign, from the Imperial capital of Coruscant in the Core Worlds, to occupied planets such as Lothal and Tatooine in the Outer Rim Territories. They fought many battles against the forces of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, including the Battle of Scarif, the Battle of Hoth, and the Battle of Endor. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa was captured by stormtroopers who served under Darth Vader, the Emperor's Sith apprentice. However, Organa was rescued by Luke Skywalker and Han Solo who, disguised as stormtroopers, infiltrated the first Death Star. The Emperor stationed a legion of stormtroopers on Endor to protect the shield generator of the second Death Star, although they were defeated by the Alliance's Ewok allies. With the Emperor's death, Counselor to the Empire Gallius Rax took control of the Imperial loyalist forces which rallied to his homeworld of Jakku to make a final stand against the New Republic. After losing the Battle of Jakku, the Empire signed the Imperial Instruments of Surrender and the Galactic Concordance, and its stormtrooper forces were consequently demobilized as part of the New Republic's terms for peace. Despite this, a number of Imperial remnants continued to make use of stormtroopers as soldiers or mercenaries in the Outer Rim, including Moff Gideon's faction as well as the remnants on Morak2 points

Attention fellow troopers During the forum clean up process we have discovered many build threads that are affected by Photobucket watermarks and or broken image links and missing photos. Some of these we have been able to restore to their former glory, but others not so. Many of these build threads are very very good, and the levels of detail excellent for our new members, but due to some having upwards of 40 images, they are far too much work to attempt to restore by us. We are asking that if you have a build thread on the FISD forums that it may well be subject to the issues as mentioned above. If this is the case, you can expect your thread will be re-located to a temporary holding area called "Build Threads requiring Maintenance" and will be the responsibility of the original poster to fix the photo and image issues. These build threads will only be held in this temporary area for a period of 6 months, and if not attended to in that time frame will be permanently archived. All threads that are fixed by the original poster, will be returned to their rightful homes under the specific costume designation build threads on the forums. If you value your build thread and its information please attend to it before it is moved from view. Glen and I will start to populate the maintenance sub forum over the next few days. here is the link https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/241-build-threads-requireing-maintenance/ We appreciate your assistance with this, and hope to see at least some of these brilliant builds and history restored.2 points

Costume Update: After discussion with the Spec Ops DL, they will not be pursuing this costumes as they are working on other CRL's. If you intend to build this and become the CRL model, please make a detailed build thread complete with your research so we can move to writing the CRL once you are closing in on completion. This of course will come under the scrutiny of the LMO team as a new to legion CRL so the better the details you contain in your research and thread, the easier the pass of approval will be.1 point

I have discussed this costume with the Spec Ops detachment leader, and can confirm they are not pursuing this costume. Their current focus is on another character seen in Mandalorian and several specialized characters from recent comics. Looks like it is up to us to create this trooper and build a CRL to suit, but I can see distinct colour differences in the screen grab and the toy version so lets get hold of the production paint codes for accuracy rather than guess work on the screen colour which will be wrong. This may well spur on further investigation for any interested in this character. Can I suggest if anyone wants to become the CRL model, that you make a very detailed build thread containing your research, and as you are nearing completion we nut out the the CRL specifics to submit to the LMO team.1 point

@T-Jay Thanks! I think i'll definitely take you up on this. I love some of the stuff in the new version of the completion set -- especially those Hengstlers -- I'll put in an order when I get a little further along and take stock of what I plan to do.1 point

I used some scrap abs to build up behind where the slots go. See pic. Then used a pencil to mark a line and carefully dremmeled a slot down through the top layer. Good luck and have fun!1 point

I took some photos in a warehouse with a photographer a few months ago, and had this idea for a photo edit. Pics are by Jeff Cox, and the troopers are all me in my AM 4.5 armor (except the laying down one in the back, that is a Black Series figure, haha): I do edits like these from time to time, I am on Instagram as "Oddviking". I have done a lot with my Clone Trooper, but I love how glossy the classic TK is!1 point

Behind the scenes shot. Corridor is a 3D image purchased from Shutterstock. The key is finding a background with similar lighting, at the exact same angle for the perspective to work (and having the trooper move in the physical space, so the feet are all at the right angles on the floor):1 point

I ran across this while doing some other researching, thought it was quite interesting. "So, my mate Jack made this video. It's great but hasn't had as many views as I think it deserves. Jack's grandparents were prolific film extras and featured in Return of the Jedi. This short documentary tells the tale of Jack's legacy as he also seeks to become a film extra." Meet Peter and Hazel Allen, my Grandparents! They've been in over 600 films and have passed down the legacy of being a fuzzy blur in the background to their kids...and to their kids' kids and even their kids' kids' kids. They were in Return Of The Jedi! Here's their story. Peter Allen was born in Tenterfield, Australia. He played a stormtrooper, Geezum, Imperial Navy Trooper and a Endor Rebel in Return of the Jedi. Peter Allens wife Hazel Allen played Yoxgit and a Rebel Technician in the Briefing room and so did their daughter Wendy.1 point

I don't like Dremels on plastic, I find it tends to melt not cut. For ABS armour I either used score and snap, or for curves lexan scissors. If I need to clean up I used either files or sand paper. You also don't need to go crazy with sanding, just a quick pass with something int the 180-320 region to take off any sharp bits. The lexan scissors can be a bit hard going on the hands so some metal snips might be a pretty good choice!1 point
