For some hand guards I have had to use black silicon, seems some hand guards won't accept most glues

Well it’s been a while...life’s been super busy but I’m hoping to start having some more time to continue working. I’ve talked to my garrison and they suggested asking Armor Master about some larger thighs since I was having issues with those in particular.

Dave is actually going to send me out another. His customer service skills are top notch. He said there was another trooper that is doing a Death Trooper and can use the one I just got, so I’m mailing it back to him.

I shall quickly take care of the knee ammo belt tomorrow. Those tube stripes are a dam problem though. Of course I got these mixed up, I wish I had seen your thread sooner! Do you think it might work to reuse the templates? Or would that just make a mess of things? Sure I could order new ones, but I only have a couple of days left until university starts and then I'll be far away from my workshop and armor for a while.

Yeah looking at my step areas on the wrists I think I can go a little closer as there does appear to be some return edge showing. I'll post some pic updates. Thanks Glen!

Hey mate, I used Zap-RT glue, which is a CA glue made for rubber parts (like tyres on model cars), so it bends and takes tension well. It worked a treat on Joseph's hand guards and those same rubber gloves. https://www.ebay.com/itm/153300826006 Sent from my Imperial Communicator

Thanks guys, didn't realise there was a separate one for clones. The plan is to do a sandie or shadow trooper one day too, so ill post when i get round to those.

Jeff, Thanks, I was just taking my morning break/ forum check and saw you post this. So, my shoulder traps sit similar to the reference pics you posted with a very small gap under the bottom. I'll play around with them a little. I still need to finesse those tabs on the belt a little bit. I intentionally left them a little "fat" so I would have room to trim. Also, since I added an extra strip underneath the belt (I forgot to post a pic, but it's basically the same size as the test strip I bent) the belt sits in a position that should allow me to bend the tabs inward slightly. Also, I actually just went to my garage and looked at the rear belt. I may play around with it a little bit because I feel like there's too many layers of plastic there. Finally, I saw this pic of the boots before and I love it. For reference below is my 1980 Dengar figure and one of my son's Stormtroopers from 2010. In Rogue One, are those "holes" cut out or painted? They look painted to me, but I wasn't sure if anyone ever got a close look. I have no problem with painting a "hole" on the bottom of my boots when they come in. That might be fun.
