  4. Okay guys. Battle worn armor coming up: Took some tips from the pros and got some hairspray and charcoal powder from Hobby Lobby and went to town. I know, I’ve heard subtle and lightly worn, but once I got this stuff on and could easily wipe it off with a damp towel, I experimented a little and found the look I like. So far this is what I’ve got: *Also my first troop as a HWT is later today* Thoughts? Thanks guys! Pics from my first HWT troop incoming... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Looks fantastic! I initially thought the weathering was a bit heavy, but seeing it all together it really is well done!

  7. Very annoying when armor makers drop the ball and don't communicate, they have no problems taking the money though. Hope it arrives soon.

  10. As @gmrhodes13 said, it’s always safe to double snap everything, especially those parts that you want to stay together for a long time. (Chest, back, abs, etc.) Here’s a useful topic if you’re unsure how to set snaps properly:

  11. New strap Made and Pics taken Just for my piece of mind I measured the rivets and button. Please let me know if more pictures needed. Had my daughter measure both sides before shooting the photos and both under 1/2 inch. Thank you for the nylon strap hint. Hope to hear back soon

  13. Great news nothing better than BBB’s. For the TD it’s not always available in grey so some of us buy white and paint, I used grey primer and clear coated afterwards. Be sure to tape up the ends so you can still get the end caps on Good luck and looking forward to the progress

  14. Any suggestions on how to measure the waist section compared to the diaper. To make sure they line up properly? Just lie them down on top of each other and mark off the snap plates so they're snug? Thanks

  15. You will find much of the forearm gap at the front will be filled by the gloves, as long as you can fit your hands through. Nice work on the TD many don't notice the screw positions, you could however trim your end caps a little more, they are @ 20 mm

  16. So my parents are currently in town from Taiwan (family friend's kid's wedding), so I will have to take a week hiatus (everything into the closet! armor, personality, orientation, self-respect!) I only have to finish the shins, attach them to the knees, and do the forearms. So this speed build will be done for Halloween... and then I will slowly upgrade it. I'm also trying to decide if I should purchase the FemTK and black!Fem7 while Kevin's sale is on. On an amusing note, my dad already found the helmet while moving stuff around. He is impressed. Impressed by my level of crazy. And dedication. But still thinks I'm crazy. And not impressed by my attempt to hide everything. Oh well....

  17. Hi Denis, and thank you for your application for Centurion! Before we "Move along" there are a couple of simple items that need to be addressed, and looking at your build, I am sure you can get these done in no time! The first one concerns your wrist openings. As per the CRL it states that: "No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed". 30 seconds with a Dremel type tool will get rid of the return edge on the "hump". Easy stuff! Reference images It looks as if your right (and left) shoulder bells are still not quite as close as they could be to the shoulder bridges. I see you took the advice and removed the return edges from the bottoms (NICE WORK) but you may want to try a hot-water bath to widen the openings a bit. It should take all of 5 minutes and would give you a more refined look. If you need advice on this, just PM me. Lastly, the issue with your blaster will hold you up from Centurion: Again, as per the CRL for level 3: ..."T-Tracks and grips shall have the appearance of black plastic". The original T-tracks were made from black plastic, and therefore could not have a metallic appearance as yours do. Some flat (or satin) spray paint could fix this in about 2 minutes! Please add an updated photo of the t tracks and one unobstructed shot of the grip to your application. Thanks!! Reference images
