It appears that this is an issue for many. Hang tight everyone2 points

And thank goodness. How do you divide a meter by 12 anyway? And it's too chatty - you need multiple syllables to say anything. Mile, foot, inch, pound. All pretty easy to say and use, as they are analog in nature, just like humans.2 points

In short, stay away from SDS. Any, why would you get Sheppterton when in the UK you have the two best makers: TM & RS?2 points

Ok, so I'm starting a thread just to motivate myself to get some progression. I have had the Anovos kit now for some time and it is cut, but I have a hard time moving on from this point. Mainly because I want to be 100% sure that what I will do is correct, because I can't afford making mistakes. I live in Norway (Bergen), and the total number of 501st members in Bergen are 2. I am hoping to soon be nr. 3. So there is not much of a community. No Armor Parties and also some of the stuff needed for building has to be bought online and shipped to Norway, coz they dont sell it anywhere here. Still I hope that when I get done, I can join the 501st and we can make some local events and also travel to other Scandinavian events. Would be a long time dream come true. A few days ago I got all the soft parts - Gloves, neckseal, boots from Imperial Supply Depot and undersuit + balaclava from "Stormtrooperundersuit". I have an E-11 blaster all painted and ready, and a voice amplifier for the classic TK voice. I feel I have all i need in my house, now I just need to assemble. I have read and looked at UKswrath guide and also the Youtube guide from Trooperbay to build my knowledge and my confidence, but it still feels low. My issue now is feeling safe every part will fitt me and how to messure my underarm and wrist to be sure the fit is great. I will post some pictures as I "move along" - but right now I am at work, dreaming about building....1 point

I was also looking at that brand and saw negative posts on the forum about it. That is what made me look at RS Propmasters and Troopermaster. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk1 point

Guys... I fell in love with the RS Propmasters Sandtrooper and ordered a complete commission . It was a lot of money, but I'm excited! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks everyone, I will end this thread by saying that since my adjustment to the torso by adding the extra strap my kit is so much more comfortable and the belt is an accessory not something holding the kit together. Thanks for all the comments and support now onto EIB1 point

Thanks Daniel and Tony for the feedback. The 2 inch strap was already glued to bicep so I just had to tape the strap into forearm. Here are the revised arms with before and after comparison of reduced size biceps and forearms. Before... After... Before... After... Thanks for all the help so far everyone! Your armour does look amazing, love the painting on your lid, oh and the “mouse boot” or trunk as you say it , with added stormtrooper... perfect and you certainly put a smile on the congratulation at your church, and for me, that’s what life us about, making people smile and be happy.... you Sir, have my upmost respect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Awesome job and thanks for the shout out! as for the Velcro, ours is doing just fine with no sign of wear or looseness and I'd say we must have put them on and off at least 20 times between fittings, submission pics and one long troop so far. I find that instead of pulling/ripping the two sides apart, it seems better to get a finger or two wedged in and then slowly work your way up or down, separating the two halves with your fingers. Also, when storing the shin pieces, I don't Velcro them together. I just tuck one side under the other if that makes sense. Whether it helps or not, we'll see but for now it at least makes me think so! LOL1 point

Great job so far, My shoulder straps are purposely made longer than the originals to fit a wider range of sizes, to be movie accurate you need to trim off the rear big bump including a small one, basically you should be left with 12 small tabs and the front big one, also from your photo the shoulder strap should sit much lower on the chest, the way I measure is that the 5th small bump is aligned with the chest top end parts (end section that is under the shoulder starps) hard to exlpain just shoot me a email and i will send you photos somehow im having problems posting photos. I got the white trim but was unable to get the 5-bouton plate. However, I did one myself… not the cleanest job in the world but will try to diminish the cut line with potty. So tomorrow I'm heading to the paint shop. I'm still waiting my trim so I won't be able to complete chest and back plates. It's moving in the good direction though...1 point

You may want to rethink your budget. Seeing a Phasma being built firsthand I can assure you this is not an inexpensive costume. In fact I may be willing to suggest that it may reach Fett or Vader levels of budget. The caroming process is not easy nor cheap unless you already have access to some of the tools necessary. That and as the CRL is still not available you may end up with some things that may end up not being up to par (the cape specifically)

Regardless good luck and be sure to document your progress as you may end up developing new and uncharted path that can help future troopers.1 point
