Here the links that you will want to read through. These will elaborate as to why you do no want to buy from SDS/Shepperton/Originalstormtrooper https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19286-the-original/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23392-wwworiginalstormstroopercom-hit-or-miss/ http://www.originalprop.com/blog/2011/03/16/facebook-hosts-ongoing-public-debate-over-original-sculptor-credit-for-star-wars-stormtrooper-andrew-ainsworth-or-liz-moore-brian-muir/2 points

Between 15 & 20 garrison members are looking to build FOTK suits. This will be the place-holder where they will chart their progress. Stay tuned1 point

Hey guys, I've been reading the forums and "lurking" for a several months. After a bunch of research I decided on buying a Doopydoo's E11 along with T-Jay's Completion Kit. I think it's the best "bang for the buck" and leaves a lot of room for modifications. I'm amazed at the quality of T-Jays build. I probably won't be able to devote enough time to do all the mods in the completion kit, but I'd like to do enough to take things a good few steps above a straight Doopydoo. In the future I'd love to do an all metal build like Fieldmarshall's as a display piece. But one thing at a time. For now I need to get my feet wet with a resin E11. My armor arrived a few days ago but I'm going to stick with my E11 build for now. Better to learn on something less expensive than armor. :-) Here's the standard box, wash and inventory pics.... Can someone let me know if the photo's worked? It's my first time using Flickr to post embedded photos. Thanks, Mark1 point

I was approved on the 21st and had my first troop on the 22nd. I have one booked for December 30th and another for January 21. A garrison mate did this up for me. Nice.1 point

Well Casper that is an interesting helmet there. It looks like it a mashup between an ANH helmet and an ESB Mark II. Not too much ROTJ there. I think the frown may be throwing you off. So besides the frown and the ear rank bars being painted to be ESB the rest of the helmet is made to be more ANH with the painted details. If you would like a ROTJ helmet then I seriously urge you to consider contacting CFO or Troopermaster. You can find their information here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/1 point

Actually, in Empire Strikes Back, when Han Solo is getting on his tauntaun and the deck officer tells him it'll freeze before he reaches the first marker, he says, "Then I'll see you in hell!" But I agree 100% there were many, many wasted opportunities in TLJ particularly in not introducing Lando Calrissian. He could have been 'the gambler' and tried to conduct a refueling mission, failed, but ended up being the senior officer rather than the random blue hair lady who, somehow, outranked Admiral Ackbar. Lando and Poe would have had ridiculously awesome chemistry, me thinks.1 point

The crazy thing is even if you aren't a builder, you can commission fully completed, screen accurate representations of a few different troopers and have plenty of money to spare.1 point

His armour is cast from two modified ESB mkii suits. And not originals as he borrowed two vendors suits and basically recast them. Hence the overlaps and differences between ANH and his.1 point

Awesome. (Photos worked) Next I drilled out the lower vent holes on the main tube... I inherited a bunch of my dad's tools when he passed away. He used to be big into woodworking and jewelry making. I knew these tools would come in handy one day. He also had a flexible shaft dremel like device that you hold like a pen and the motor hangs on the wall connected by a 1 meter flexible shaft. Should make some of the cutting and grinding work easier. At this point I stopped working on the main tube and went to the Hengstler Counter. I filled a few tiny bubbles with "green stuff" and started working on the counter. The little reset button on the Doopydoo's looks wrong and I wanted a window with the numbers inside not the solid window of the Doopy's. So I sanded down the fake window and button. Sadly, I also lost the "Hengstler" text on the front, but it was so faint it would have probably filled in with paint anyway and been lost. You could barely see it on the photo... Before: After Next I needed to make a window and new button. I'm sure not a master dremel-man creating curved plexiglass using nothing but skill and a beer, but I think I've seen clear curved plastic before. A trip to my local office supply store revealed this ruler... It's got a nice curve over the blue paint... And the blue paint comes off nicely... I got the size from the FISD Reference Page. Chop-Chop, Dremel, Dremel.....one Hengstler Counter Window... Next a found I had a piece of smoked black acrylic, so I chopped this up to create the reset button. The same reference page showed the length and width of the button, but not the height. The reference page shows the reset button is 3.5mm in width and 10.5mm in length but it doesn't state the height. Does anyone know how tall the reset button of the Hengstler Counter is supposed to be? Thanks, Mark1 point

I got a Dremel 4000/34, which comes with a nice starter variety of bits and attachments. I even read through the instructions before plugging in that little beast. I had fun dremelating the Anovos ammo belt to prepare it for the Imperial Issue cloth belt. I used a cutting wheel to cut away at the insides of the rivets. This worked very well: it heated the rivet which melted the plastic that was holding the other side in place and burned just enough of the cotton belt so that I could remove the rivet with a pair of pliers. It isn't exactly the procedure I had in mind, but it worked. I sliced off the square button covers off fairly easily with a boxcutter and flat screwdriver. I ground down the lumps and glued some reinforcement to the insides of the ammo belt where it will be riveted to the new belt. I practiced some ancient Anglo-Saxon words because I cannot find my anvil and tool for setting the snaps. The tool I did find is a bit too thick to do it quite right. No, it needs the correct anvil and tool. Sigh. I decided that in the lull between projects it would be a good idea to tidy up my work shop. That'll learn me! I did cut down one of the four helmet ear screws. That did what I wanted, but I think the biggest, thickest wheel was not the right one to use. I'll try it again with a thinner one. High speed and intermittent cutting is probably the best approach here. For delicate and finish work on a helmet or armor, I'd still use a file, sandpaper, and that fun 3M sandpaper sponge thing. Power tools, back off!1 point

Hi Thomas and welcome to the FISD! While this detachment deals with just stormtroopers, I will try to help as best I can. I highly recommend you check out Radu Plucinski on Facebook. He is offering a very nice set. You can also check out RS Props on their website, Walts Trooper Factory on Facebook and Lord Zach on Facebook. See the trend? Pretty much need Facebook to check into Tie armor. You can head over to the Jolly Roger Forum but it is pretty much an empty shell. Also If anyone recommends a Targ to you, please run the other way as fast as you can. I hope this helps!1 point

IV decided to fill in the indents with bondo and sand them till they look right. It's a really long process and I'm not 100 percent happy with how it looks, but it is better than before. I should be finished painting tomorrow1 point

I got something cool today! I pretty sure it's the first all white leather pauldron that trooperbay has made. Also got my First order shoes in. A little comparison to my sandy shoes. My R1 TK kit should be in tomorrow. Can't wait!1 point

My sugestion would be to use the coverstrip as a guide and you will see how much to cut and if your shins flare out att the top like mine, cutting 10 from the ridge would make it difficult to assemble (see pic)..mark the middle of the strip, hold it to the shin to were it sits right and then transfer the mark to the shin, I learned this from Troopermaster, check his FB page and you will find lots of helpful stuff1 point

GARRISON TITAN Operation: Rule the Galaxy Hello Legionnaires! If you were brought here by me, then you already know why you are here! If you've tripped on this subforum, please allow me to thank you for joining us on this wild ride, and allow me to tell you a little bit about us and why we are here. My name is Kay, DS-52956 and one of Garrison Titan's Membership Liaisons. My flagship costume is Kylo Ren (as you have probably guessed). I troop about 20 events a year, and at the time of me typing this, we have about x1 First Order Stormtrooper for each Kylo Ren we have in the Garrison....which totals to 5 (give or take my spotty memory). As you can imagine, I was DISPLEASED by this! So I did what any self-respecting loyalist might do. I went recruiting. And here we all are. Garrison Titan is based in Washington State and is currently home to a little over 180 active members, making us one of the top 20 largest Garrisons in the 501st Legion. We have a tremendous relationship with our sister clubs in the area, and have made appearances at all sorts of events throughout the year. In 2016, we raised just over $58,000 for charity at just over 1000 events, and are well beyond that number for 2017. Our goal here is simple: have a First Order squadron ready for the release of Episode 9. That gives us a timeline of ~2 years -- plenty of time for experimentation and learning. For several members involved, this is their first armor kit build. For others, it isn't. We plan to operate using an assembly line system to get these kits trimmed and fitted by our target date. I will be documenting the process as best I can -- I am notoriously bad at remembering to take pictures of my builds, but hopefully with a support group of x20 other troopers, we'll get some helpful info here in case anyone else would like to start one of these in their own Garrison. On behalf of Garrison Titan, thank you for stopping in, and don't forget to CRUSH THE RESISTANCE! Kay Ahern DS-52956 Garrison Titan GML1 point
