  3. Hello out there! A few days ago I received this NSBBB (the BBB is, as I write this, on its way from the UK to Sweden) And this is what was in it So after a few years looking trough build threads and reference pictures, I finally got my own set of armor This is hat I´ve done so far... Face plate and eyes Cap n' back I hope it looks okey so far. And I do apologize for crappy phone camera pictures. Any input, tips, how to and tricks of the trade will be greatly appreciated

  4. Having had my Jimmiroquai FOTK approved in June this year I am looking to modify the kit with spares so that I can alternate between the FOTK and FOJE for future troops. Having been researching and sharing information extensively for some time I have started to acquire the necessary parts for the upgrade. Jimmi was quick to respond to my call for new parts and within a week I received new shoulder bells and yoke... And I"ve been toying with sizing for a new TD end cap using the lid of a spray oil can - yet to be painted black!... Not much more work will take place for a week or so owing to a large Con here in Sydney and a few other FOTK commitments. Hope to share more soon

  5. Hey everyone! So this is my first time posting anything on the forums here. I have just lurked around trying to make a decision on what armor to purchase for a while. BUT! I finally took the plunge last week when an unexpected opportunity presented itself. Someone was selling their unopened Anovos armor for the same price that it would cost to order from Anovos themselves. The perk obviously being that ordering from this person would not take an indefinite amount of time before I would receive the kit. I just got the kit and will probably start trimming tomorrow. But I thought that first I'd start a build thread for anyone that wants to follow along, or better yet, help me out in any way they can haha. This is my first build, so I'm a bit nervous. But extremely excited too! Here goes nothing!

  6. Thanks Kit!! Helmet - 09/28/2017 2 Coats of Base Primer and allowed to dry. Starting to look like a FO Trooper Using Bondo Glaze/Spot filler, here i spot filled any pinholes that i wasnt able to see before. With the White primer, i could see them. Wet Sanded the helmet now with 800 grit and allowing to dry. you can see where i over sanded a bit around the eyes and air rater. As a result, ill be applying 2 more coats of primer today. TD - 09/28/2017 Spoke with a few gents Kit and Darren for the length of the TD cap and went with 3.3cm / 1.3". The Cap was from a can of Dupli-Color. it was the only one that was smooth to start and no ridges etc on it. Glued on with E6000 and Clamped to dry

  8. "US Distributor of TK UK Armor" There's been a lot of controversy over TK UK armour, a search will find it. Personally I'd want something more accurate.

  9. Thank you kindly Sir. I did the same to my but and kidney, but I used a hair dryer instead [emoji6]It worked pretty good on the PVC, but it was nerve wrecking, to say the least. I will try the hot water bath on the shins soon, but I think I have to test with some scrap pieces first, since I'm not sure how the plastic will react. Nervous moments is coming [emoji29] Skickat från min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

  11. Your build is looking great P-O regarding the butt plate, I applied a little heat to mine to get it to contour my butt a bit better..... the thing is you can easily mess things up with a heat gun..... my armour is ABS.... I don't know if heat works on PVC? the progress you are making..... you will be a TK well beforehand me ... oh and I also had to buy some more glue the other day nice work

  14. Hi guys, kalkamel (SL-2320) from Malaysia Garrison here. After months of searching, I recently found a old hardware store in Malaysia that still carried vintage brown t-tracks from 30-40 years ago in stock. I have shared this find with the folks at The RPF and the Graflex Addicts Support Group on Facebook and have also opened up sale threads in those forums. These are FOUND ITEMS, not reproductions. I admit they're not 100% accurate as Gino's or Roy's (the center profile, although tapered is slightly thinner) but they're the closest found vintage tracks available anywhere at the moment. Base width is accurate at 12mm. I've asked Holnave, a member of my Garrison to help open a sale thread here for them in FISD since I've only just registered and don't have access to post in that section yet. They're in limited supply at the moment and once they run out, you wouldn't be able to get them anywhere else. In any case, feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the tracks. Thanks!

  18. Kind of hard to sand at a hotel. But I was able to sand some in the parking lot before it started to rain ITS SO SILKY SMOOTH. One coat of Spot Putty and dry sand 400 grit. Boom. Smoothy smoothness. Also got word my armor is shipping soon. Woot! Everything else is slowly being shipped. I can't wait....Work is keeping me here for probably two more weeks though. Having BBB's??!? and not be able to play with them?!?! AH! torture......

  22. Well... The build continues. Veery slowly, and not so steady. But small steps... [emoji16] This time I've been fiddling with the arms and belt. I still need to make the bicep hooks and fix the drop boxes in their final location Skickat från min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

  26. Well... first trye-out. Don't really know if it fits ok or not. There's a lot of space between me and the armor at the sides, the chest is right up against my throat , plus I think I need to tighten the straps between kidney and butt. Maybe even re- position the brackets... Oh yes, try to get that butt plate to not flare out quite as much [emoji1] If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in. 27. Sooo... I'm trying to figure out the placement on the side split rivets and the Han snap. Was looking at the Bilhag "Bilgrams", some reference pics and a Troopermaster hero build on Facebook, and this is my conclusion. Does this seem right to you guys? Skickat från min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

  29. so, by following the lead of Gazmosis: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28633-howto-ata-helmet-build-hand-painted-details-pic-heavy/ pandatrooper: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/1-howto-assembling-ata-abs-helmet-1/page-3 and Gwithian: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40087-stephens-rs-anh-stunt-build-wip-for-small-people/ and a few reference pics, I actually managed to accomplish this I think it turned out quite alright Next mission will be to maybe trim a wee bit more on the left side, attach everything permanently and move on to the dreaded ears. I am truly a bit scared of those...
