  3. After a few dry years due to Darth Life I have finally cross the 25 line!
  4. Troop #25 - 26 May 2024 - MCM ComicCon London After a long dry spell it was back out in the white armour. Troop 25, and my 5th time at MCM London where it all started. This year it was thanks to an invite from our friends at the UK Rebel Legion. We had a small imperial presence to ensure the keeping of the peace. Apparently the age of my armour is starting to show, with a few field repairs taking place through out the day. Whilst it's not a huge troop count it's also now 8 years old, but there's plenty of life in the old girl yet. A little super glue and t-shirt and I was back out in the field. Though my button plate has a corner broken off now, which is a lot less repairable. I also need to start looking into some new gloves, I am sort of amazed that at their age the rubber gloves are still going but the hand plates are coming off both now. The convention was a good one. Several members of the Mandoverse cast where attending, and Emily Swallow did come over to the forge set for a photo. Sadly the Mando clans caught wind of this and so I am in the back somewhere probably not visible. I did manage to get a signed photo, thanks to my wife who went and queued for me whilst I was on the stand all day. We also got a visit from Samantha Alleyne, better known as the first female storm trooper. She first appeared in The Force Awakens, but also was in a most of the new Disney era films since. 5. As another idea, here is how mine is setup: I can only just get my head in doing the TK twist but once in it is a nice firm fit and stays where I put it. The grey pads are "tactical" pads available from the usual suspect pretty cheaply. I did replace the provided Velcro on most as it had terrible adhesive. I use 25mm Velcro brand squares for those. The round one doesn't really do much other than set the hight for my eyes, the 4 pads on the side are what holds things in place. At the front I have the fans tucked up inside the cheeks so they are well out of the way. The power switches you can see at the back of the helmet where I can reach them in armour, and the battery is a USB power bank I fit between the fans at the front on a bit of Velcro. At one point I used a Bluetooth microphone which you can see the Velcro for. I stopped using this as at larger conventions the wireless interference caused too many issues.

  9. Hi everyone, I've been working on my Stormtrooper costume for a while now, but I'm running into some issues with misaligned armor pieces, particularly around the shoulders and thighs. No matter how much I adjust the strapping, some pieces just don't seem to sit right and it throws off the whole look. I also check this : https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18243-howto-modifying-armor-for-womengcp But I have not found any solution. Thanks!
  10. Troop 54 Stratford, Ontario May 25, 2024 Stratford Comicon This was a small local con. Not overly busy but fun none the less. We captured a rebellious Jedi while there. Turn around is fair play I guess In the end, we are all friends for a good cause.
  11. Troop 53 New Hamburg, Ontario May 19, 2024 New Dundee Community Fireworks I had originally planned to wear my Death trooper to this troop as it would look great with the helmet lights in the dusk lighting. However it was 30 degrees C and between the heavy fibreglass armour and the heavy undersuit, I opted to switch to the trusty TK kit as it wears much cooler. Lots of photos, high fives and fist bumps. We found a shed to set up against to keep in the shade.

  19. Just one thing for higher levels: OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece. Normally we use white elastic to connect the chest to backplate under the shoulder straps Chest and back shall be connected with a white fabric or preferably elastic strap at the shoulders. As seen in the images from screen used armor below, this ideally must be approximately 2 inches (48 mm) wide.
  20. Hello and welcome to the forum, for TD's head to MEPD https://forum.mepd.net/, Walt's armor is for ANH or ESB. As for accuracy there are other kits out there more accurate, but many are happy with their armor.
