Thanks to paul H, thaynerd and all of our beloved "nit pickers" out there.

you inspired me to go the extra mile!

thanks paul for all your kind words.

Thanks to TrooperMaster... you helped me see the hidden details!

I hope to wear a kit from you someday soon.

regards!

Just need a couple more pics to get you approved. We need pics of the blaster D-ring, and the chin seam on the MRCE helmet. The chin seam is supposed to be a Legion requirement for acceptance, but it's sometimes missed.

Your almost there.

working Dring and hengstler with lighted scope.

MRCE completely moded and painted.

there ya go terrell!

thanks!

I even added the 3 bumps to the mrce mod.

Even I get boarded sometimes, and there are no guarantees. Actually I've had this suit for some time and only finally gotten to the point where it met requirements. Still some more tweaks to go - you're never done, are you?

there are so many things I want to add to this kit it's not even funny!

Beverages, a restroom, my own local bar and smoking room, the internet.

are all those things going to fit inside trooper armor?

Wow, the MRCE ear-bump mod is taking it to the next level. Did you somehow modify the MRCE ear cap, or replace it entirely?

One nit - it looks like the ribbed shoulder strap on the right side is really sticking up in the back. I understand that for screen-accuracy it's supposed to float, but can you use a heat gun (or boiling water) to reshape it, adding more of a curve to it so that it lies more on top of the back piece?

Good looking kit you have there. Not a lot of dual-EIBs, in fact I only know of one.

Thanks for the suggestions,

I completely re-did the existing ear caps with putty, shoestring tips for the bumps.

I added putty over the 4, since they are too small on the vertical axis. then I built up a layer,

added the shoestring tips, and then sanded to finish and fill and sand again.

painted with 1138 grey, and lined with automotive pinstripe tape.

since these photos:

The shoulder straps have since been glued to the chest plate in front, and have velcro in back.

there are lots of troopers who have the back glued down, but I still have them floating in back.

for the ESB photos I changed the amount of float, for the ANH photos I raised the amount of float.

shoulder straps don't need any heat treatment they bend just fine on their own. as a matter of fact, I'm going to fill the back

sides with glue to make them stronger.

and using a heat gun on armor is really a bad idea.

the shoulder straps are weak enough already, using heat on them would only make them

weaker in the long run, and they don't need that.

ya know, and the more I look at this kit, I know I can make even more small mods to get it looking

ever more accurate. I'll be updating these photos even though I know they are good to go.

here's an example from my ESB kit, which is the same as this one.

Looking good! Love those alternate style latex handguards :)

K.

Mark actually helped me out on the handguards, I wonder if they started their life in your hands?

the paint scratches off with the armor itself picking pieces off.

just like on screen!

eventually I'll paint match them to my abs and we'll have a winner!

my next EIB application will be ANH stunt.

gotta help a fellow trooper out first and build him up some ATA armor.

that's going to be a fun build!

go alex go!

that's 2 troopers in chico and counting!

Incredible job and well deserved!

Quick question- can you separate ANH Stunt and Hero for two EIB awards, or is it one or the other for one award? I know I saw some discussion about this somewhere in the forums before.
