Seansull[TK]
Hi Everyone! This is my first post, on my first build thread, and building my first set of armor. Trimming and fitting of the forearms and biceps has begun, and I already have a question. I can achieve the 15 mm cover strip on the forearms with no problem, however the bicep cover strip will need to be wider. 25 mm to be exact. Should my cover strips be uniform throughout the build? Will I be able to achieve Centurion if my arm cover strips aren't 15 mm? Sorry for the randomness of the photos. Thanks!! Shanester[TK]
Nice work. Why do you need 25mm strips on the bicep? Is it a size issue?

wingnut65[Staff]
Just curious, do both cover strips on the biceps need to be 25 mm, or can it just be the back one? If possible, it would be better if the front cover strips could match at 5/8" (16-17 mm) and the back be a little wider.
troopermaster
...the bicep cover strip will need to be wider. 25 mm to be exact. Should my cover strips be uniform throughout the build? Will I be able to achieve Centurion if my arm cover strips aren't 15 mm? Use whatever size strips you need to make the biceps comfortable on you. The strips do not need to be the same widths on the biceps and forearms, though they would ideally, but in reality it's not always possible. If you need to make them wider than usual then I would keep both sides the same width be it 25mm, 20mm, whatever
ukswrath[Staff]
We generally encourage builders to maintain canon size correct cover strip widths on the front of the armor being that's what is recognized by fans most of the time. 15mm for the arms, 20mm for the legs (except for the calves 25mm). Uniformity is key however, as Paul mentioned this doesn't work for everyone, but it is the goal to shoot for. That being said, if you could pull of maybe 20mm at the front of the arms (in all areas) and varied sizes on the back you should be fine.
Seansull[TK]
Thanks guys for the great input! I was afraid I was splitting hairs, since this is my first build. I think I can make everything work well with 20 mm strips on both sides of forearms and biceps to keep everything uniform. Dan.......I recently completed building an airplane in my home workshop. I have a ton of space, tools, tables, etc. What better use that building a TK armor set! Thanks again! I'll post the mocked up arms tonight. jeneyre[TK]
Hi from another first time builder working on WTF armor! I have the opposite problem with the return edges for the arms . . . Trying to see how much smaller I can make them! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

Seansull[TK]
Hi Everyone! I am finally getting back to work on my TK! This week I was able to finish up the biceps and shoulder bells. The helmet was next on my list, with the help of Walt's helmet build video. I have to admit, the initial construction was much easier that I anticipated. I'll start trimming ears tonight.

Seansull[TK]
Left ear is finished and I don't think I need my extra ear! I was afraid to continue removing material to eliminate the remaining shadows. How does this look? Thanks!!!

Seansull[TK]
I been busy on the bucket. The interior received 3 coats of rubberized spray material. After the interior paint dried, I installed my lenses and painted the frown. I am going with decals for the the rest of the bucket. Finally, I have been working on brackets and hardware for the body armor. I will countersink all of the screw heads and attach elastic loops next. Progress!!
