Airborne Trooper[501st]
I'm sure this is beating a dead horse but wanted to see if anyone is using something different than the stanley/husky 50gal storage bins. I'm willing to get two separate bins to fit my stuff but ideally I would like it to fit in my trunk of my Honda civic. Taking out the kid's car seats is a super pain in the rear so if I can avoid this it'd be great.
fueledbychar
My suggestion would be hard luggage since its thinner. Other than that those 18 gallon storage tubs.
Squimspickle[TK]
I think people were using these successfully 35" Mobile Job Box Guess it all depends on how much your putting in there. UT Trooper[TK]
I have a 2013 Honda Civic sedan and I use the below chest for my TK which will fit in my trunk. A fellow trooper uses this chest so I went ahead and bought it, surprisingly I could fit everything except for my helmet (which I carry in a separate bag). You have to put everything in clam shell style with the thighs and all arms in side of it. Buy it, keep the receipt, and take it back if it doesn't work. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-35-in-Mobile-Job-Box-222167/205053257
=Sv3=[TK]
I got this Sterilite footlocker : http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Footlocker-Black/16415912 My kit is trimmed and still in pieces but it all fits so far. I don't think the helmet would fit though, even when the kit is all assembled with the pieces stacked into one another. I got a helmet bag for that reason from Amazon... I've read of a few people here that have been using them but it's not the go to choice like those 50 gallon ones. Still, it's an option if you have a small car like I do... justjoseph63[Staff]
Even though I have a larger bin, I still keep my bucket in one of these from Trooperbay: https://trooperbay.com/helmet-bags.html Keeps it from getting scratched all to heck. dak[TK]
I got one of these bags for my FA TK helmet. Works great from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Helmet-Carrying-Bag-Universal-size/dp/B000ST450Y/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1455907667&sr=8-8&keywords=helmet+bag

Rob .T .[TK]
I just use a large suitcase , it fits any car . I keep my helmet in a separate helmet bag . I've attended troops in my wife's mgf sports car with plenty spare room . Large solid plastic storage bins are a waste of space .....unless you own a very large car or pickup truck . tkrestonva[TK]
My entire kit fits in here (minus the helmet). Takes some packing skills, but it works. It also fits inside the available trunk space of a small car - in my case a 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Contico-Storage-Locker/2476189

Airborne Trooper[501st]
I picked one up last weekend, thanks! I ended up getting one of those cushy kitchen mats to put on the bottom. It's thin but adds some cushion and some star wars fleece fabric. Plan on lining the sides and bottom without taking up any precious resources. Stinks the little tool bin that comes with it can't fit with my armor. russellr2d2[TK]
I drive a teeny - tiny car so I can't fit a big plastic bin in the door. I found this big duffel bag. I made a wood floor so it does not sag when I carry things in it. It fits flush end to end in the trunk of my car. Not too bad carrying it around but it needs a better shoulder strap. mgb1016[501st]
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Footlocker-Black/16415912 I have an itty bitty Fiat 500 and this fits in it perfectly in either the front seat, backseat or trunk. Holds it all except the bucket which I keep in its own bag. Edited July 5, 2016 by mgb1016
