Quebectrooper
After seeing myself on the first photo (i'm on the left) i realized i was short so i got these for $10 and now i can even become Darth Vader or Chewbacca !!!! I'm 5'7 and my 13 year old son in law is 6'' but this morning i stood in front of him and looked at him right in the eyes. james007bond[TK]
Nice one Pat, i'm 5'9 and tried similar lifts ranging from 3 inches to 5 inches in height increase. Unfortunately, even with the 3 inch lifts, I could not get my feet into my CABOOTS, so i'm stuck at 5'9' at the moment...

I think with my helmet on I get a little taller than that. The Vader's love having me around since I am a little shorter than them, so I make them look good. TKDUEUNO
Another great trick to increase perceived height is to put foam under the shoulder straps (think a foam ring around your neck) to raise the armor, then extra padding in your helmet to raise that too, I gained an inch with this method (thanks to my buddy Alberto for this!) Rich330[TK]
I stopped worrying about being short ages ago. With regard to armour, as long as it fits well, that's all I care about and in general your relative girth is more important than your height. 5'7"/140-150lbs is always going to look better in (shim-free!) armour than 5'11" and 250lbs! For what it's worth, Pat, you have a good build and I think you look good in your armour. I'm just short of 5'8" and around 150lbs (1.72m, 68kg). Being slim means I can even borrow my wife's AP whilst I'm waiting for my armour to arrive!
bluehickey
Here is the most important thing to remember about height while trooping: No matter how tall or short you are, you will always be tall, impressive and probably scary to every 5 year old! TK bondservnt[501st]
interesting side topics and thread hijacks! stonehenge! "bloody hell, this is a stage set... how are we supposed to use that?" and for the longest joke thread hijack in history! O-o-o-o-o-o-oh-h-h-h....! Artist: Ray Stevens Song title: I'm My Own Grandpaw Lyric: I was married to a widow, who was pretty as can be. This widow, had a grown-up daughter, Who had hair of red. My father fell in love with her and soon they too were wed. This made my dad my son-in-law, And really changed my life. Now my daughter was my mother, Cause she was my father's wife. And to complicate the matter, Even though it brought me joy, I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy. My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad, And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad. For, if-if he were my uncle, then that also made him brother. Of the widow's grown up daughter, who was of course, my stepmother. Uh huh. Father's wife then had a son who kept them on the run, And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son. My wife is now my mother's mother, and it makes me blue. Because although she is my wife, she's my grandmother too. God. Now, if my wife is my grandmother, I am her grandchild, yeah. And every time I think of it, heh! Nearly drives me wild. Cause now I have become, the strangest case you ever saw, As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpaw. Oh I'm my own grandpaw. I'm my own grandpaw. It sounds funny I know, but it really is so, Oh I'm my own grandpaw. I'm my own grandpaw. I'm my own grandpaw. Talk about incest! It sounds funny I know, but it really is so, I'm my own grandpaw. I love ray stevens. I think I want lifts too...
Quebectrooper
UPDATE: The shoe lifts don't work in my new TK boots. I can't walk straight or comftably , i feel like a girl in hight heels so i threw em out. (they worked in my basketball sneekers). Who cares i'll stay short, that way i can run from jedis.
