  1. Search the boards here and you will find a thread by the maker of Disney's armor looking for input on how to improve it. It's not bad, but not great either. Far, far better than Rubies or the old FX. Up close you can see definite mods for the sake of mobility and durability. To the average tourist it is spot on.
  2. Makaze territory (Central FLA) is where it's at, Paul. Unless you want to drive a couple hours for all the fun troops. Just kidding TBS, ES, S7 and PS friends!
  3. Great fun today! I'd like to thank Disney for introducing the phrase "Trooper Jog". Just for clarification, the TKs in the front and second row (notice loops going from shin armor around boots) were Disney's. The rest are ours.
  4. Hey, that's my thread! :-) I've been MIA for a little while here but am gearing up to start trooping and binder building again. I will post details soon. Thank you to everybody that has expressed interest. I appreciate your patience.

My cousin sent me an invite but I haven't seen anything yet. My understanding was Google put a freeze on new sign ups for now. If you have a spare one I could always try again My email is ajax407 (at) gmail.com
  6. Well that goes without saying! (That's why I didn't say it ) Would this be something you can ship across the pond or do I have more work to do?
  7. Well, we'll never know if it will work unless someone tries. I'd be willing to test drive one in the "wretched hive of heat and humidity" we call Florida.
  8. Seems like it would not breath, and therefor be really hot and sweaty. No?
  9. Happy Birthday Your Highness!
  10. Word is we have some in the works here in Makaze territory. ;-)
  11. Here ya go... http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=15252&st=0&p=184996&hl=attach%C3%A9%20&fromsearch=1entry184996
  12. Happy birthday, oh fearless leader!
  13. How close is the final product to your original vision, and if you had it to do all over again would you do anything differently? (I am asking primarily about the TK suit, but if you want to elaborate on your other SW work, that's cool too ) Also, when are you coming back to Florida!?!
  14. :dancing-trooper: :dancing-trooper: Wow! You just made my day! Thank you to everybody here for their help! Troopers helping troopers, I love that! Dash, I'll have to see what those straps poking out were. And the belt thing... well that's kind of a badge of honor. When I started I had 1-1/2" shims on either side. I've lost some weight and lost the shims, so what you see is a result of the belt getting tighter. I'll trim the belt as an extra incentive not to go back to that. Thank you ALL once again!
  15. hmmmmm, guess I may be a little confused. I thought there was a choice on the matter "Popular commercially available toy Stormtrooper blasters have a total of 7 T-racks (if you cover all the rows of holes) or 6 T-racks (if you cover the "open row" of holes on the Hengstler side. Below this, you shall grind off the lower T-rack and drill a new row of holes)." I opted for the 7 T-tracks. I believe I saw pics of approved blasters like this as well. Am I wrong?
  16. Duly noted about the drop boxes... will do. Let me know if I need to resubmit after I move them. I do have a set of Karin's AWESOME handguards but I haven't mounted them to the gloves yet. I just may be saving those for something special. Thanks for the kind words and feedback!

  18. Another suit? All you need to do is lose the backpack, bazooka, etc., attach your thermal det., drop boxes and grab an approve-able e-11. You're golden!
  19. Congrats bro! Now let's get some more EI in Makaze... starting with me.
  20. I said it before and I'll say it again, looks great Mike! My goal was/is to submit my EIB pics this weekend. I guess you beat me to it. grrrrrrrrr
  21. Great to see you here Bryan! You'll have to let me borrow your TX when you are done with your Vader... oh, and when I grow 4 or 5 inches See you in a week and a half!
  22. Looks great, I can't wait to see that TM bucket in person. Isn't your pauldron on the wrong shoulder though? I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's an easy fix. Edit: Oops, just read your post. Disregard my last comment. Move along, move along.
  23. Thanks for hanging out with us Brian, I hope you enjoyed your time in the Sunshine State! It goes without saying that you are welcome back any time, we'd love to have you. Here's Brian proudly showing off his 501st challenge coin he carries with him. (We gave him a hard time about forgetting his 501st name badge. ) I'm the TK on the left, his right.
