  1. Since I am not building my armor I won't have a building thread to share, but I thought I'd show you how I'm coming along in other areas. The boots are a bit of a problem with sizing. I really needed an 8.5 but that's not an option so they are a 9 and I haven't found a combination of insoles and socks that take out the heel slop when I walk. I may need to see if there is something I can stuff in the toes that won't drive my toes crazy while fixing the heel. They aren't comfortable as they are with the heel flopping up and down. I have the fans and the icomm/amp from Ukswrath and TK Products respectively. Must admit I had to play with the icomm. "These aren't the droids we're looking for." I can see the mic will require some fiddling once it gets in a helmet as it seems super sensitive in some positions and not so much in others. The blaster I just opened up today even though I've had it for quite some time. I just wanted to keep it safe through my busy Halloween building season. It's from Quest Design. I didn't do the "pew-pew" with it. They are smaller than I pictured in my head and it's been 15 years since I've seen one in person so the memory of it was off I guess. There is nice weight to it. I'm not a "gun" guy in my day to day life so it does feel a bit strange to handle it. Couldn't seem to hit anything with it at all though. I have the undersuit, but still on the hunt for pants with the appropriate placed pocket. I also picked up cotton gloves to wear under the rubber gloves, a balaclava and an MP3 player for the trooper chatter. I built a kit of tools and emergency stuff (not that I will have much clue on how to repair most thing) based on the recommendations here. Other than very basic things I had to order most of the contents as they just were not available locally. That is a frustrating part of where I live, but I did eventually obtain everything on the list plus a couple other things I through in just to keep it all in one place. My armor is under construction by Mark at AP right now and Geeky Pink is doing up the neck seal and a harness for me as opposed to a belt which I think is the last of the items I will need. I will, hopefully, be part of Badlands Garrison which is the same one as Geeky Pink is part of so that is cool (although she is no where near me). I'm hoping to meet others from Badlands on the 26th this month when they are doing a membership drive/show-and-tell type event 3 hours from me. I've met some of them in the past, but never as a potential recruit so that is different. Shouldn't be too long now until I can start the final steps of the process. Bart
  2. Got an anvoos lid from ebay; the aertaor and nose piece snapped out fairly easily with gentle force, they really dont use much glue on those things. Decided to just mask off black areas and paint. Have some cure curing to do and some drying than polish with 3k and one more coat. Waiting on gio and geeky pink is facing issues with fires, so this project will probably be tabled for some time. My fault for thinking this was going to be "easy" Tip never say anything is going to be easy. In the mean time I'm going to fix some worn out elastic strapping, replace velcro, and various other maintenance items. Probably go nuts with a good clear coat and polish to make everything super shiny. Need to get my attention back to my DN Kit anyway. I think this project has taught me I love Behr spray paint and I believe I'm going to also paint my DN Kit and bucket so everything matches well and it helps fight yellowing
  3. You could try Geeky Pink https://m.facebook.com/GeekyPinksPhantasticGaskets
  4. Talked with geeky pink was excited to make my cape; I'm basing everything off the Black Series figure for reference. We had some issues on mountain trooper so applying similar logic. If anyone needs to part with a TFA bucket I'm looking
  5. Hello everyone So I thought I should do a build thread, I want to preface this with I have never done this before so brace yourself. There will be lots of errors, but I will make up for it in enthusiasm. So BBB arrived yesterday, haven't been able to unpack it yet (see next steps). But overall some details: - TLJ kit from Jim Tripon. Ordered 22 Nov, 12 Dec impulse added the blaster (obviously moving shipping date out), shipped 15 Jan and received 19 Jan. - Will be ordering gaskets, harness, neck seal, shiny shorts and closer to end of the build the cape from Geeky Pink - Shoes TBC (still deciding if I will do lifters, I am 1.71m so on the fence) - Gloves TBC - Under suit, living in Sweden has supplied me with many of those - Chrome finish currently 3 options get it professionally done (started reaching out to shops, but will delay build do to cost), metallization (see previous option) and finally possibly having it wrapped. Not sure if anyone has done that yet and if it could/does work. Next steps: - Clean kit by scrubbing down with scour pads and soap (just need to get a work jacket and gloves today for that) - Do a test fit after cleaning - We don't have a lot of workspace so ordered a little gazebo to work in outside, that will arrive with the primer and sanding paper etc. Hopefully this gets going Monday - I am waiting to hear if their is an equivalent of FibreGlast 1110 available here, once I know I will either do a layer of the resin and Plastidip else just a layer of Plastidip (assuming Plastidip should go on once the snaps etc. has been installed) Excited to get the build going and taking you all on this janky journey with me.
  6. Yeah the belt I was using was not ideal but worked in a pinch to just see if the fit would be okay. If I am understanding you correctly you are saying the elastic from the thigh should go straight up to the belt or harness not be at any kind of angle. That makes perfect sense. I will have to see how this harness will arrive and if I have adjustment options with it. I'm flying blind on what exactly Geeky Pink is making me in this regard other than she says it will be better than a belt. I am referring to velcro on the shin not elastic. That is what I see on a bunch of photos and one of the easier tweaks I think. I'll do one more arm fitting after the glue dries, but I don't think I want to try any more tweaking there other than adding the padding. It's time to get the legs fitting nice and move closer to the final photos! Thanks. Bart
  7. Reposting this in the right section now. Back in 2019 I was building a FOTS and was waiting for a backpack model. I noticed the same designer had a TLJ set of files so decided to build two costumes at once. Fast forward to today and I’m on the final stages of flatting and polishing the armour. The pictures below will be slightly out of sequence but I’ll try and comment on certain parts Armour - Akira-Yuming on CG Trader Printed on my CR-10S Lid - Tried building the 3D files but it’s proving very tricky. Bought a WTF which is going together better but not perfectly Gaskets - Geeky Pink but I do have a set of Anovos rubber as well Pouches / Pauldron - Trooper Bay Gloves / Boots - IB Belt - Belts of the First Order
  8. So here is the final product and 501st approval. TK-78945 A very big thank you to John Child (Captain’s Drydock) and Tony (ukswraith). It was your video series on YouTube and build thread on here that got me to pick the FOTK and have the confidence to build it. Also a big thanks to everyone who responded along the way. Your advice got me to the finish line. Body Armor Kit: Imperial Surplus Helmet: Anovos Gaskets: Geeky Pinks Belt: Belts of the First Order Belt Pouches: Trooper Bay Boots: CrowProps Gloves: Endor Finders Holster: Justin-Lee Morrison
  9. Feel like forever since I made my introduction post, but I'm finally starting my very own build thread! Been waiting for my KB armor to arrive since October and it's finally on the way, hurray! As I've done an ANH TIE Pilot and Inferno Squad build so far, this'll be my first "full armor" build. My goal is to go for Centurion level, so... that'll be fun. Pretty much have all of the accessory bits ready to roll, now just need the armor. Luckily enough my squad is doing an armor party next weekend so I am hoping to make some good progress on it there. I'm planning to document the build in detail, but we'll see how well I remember to do that as I go Parts: Armor - KB Props Helmet - Anovos Gaskets - Imperial Gaskets, Geeky Pink's, Sheev's Emporium (redundant much?) Belt - Belts of the First Order Gloves and Boots - Imperial Boots Neckseal - Anovos, Geeky Pink's, Sheev's Metal Holster - R2Dan Anything else I'm forgetting - Probably F-11D and SE-44C - Imperial Factory (updated 19 Oct 21) My collection, with all my FOTK stuff anxiously awaiting. Don't mind the clone armor still in progress
  10. Soft Goods & Accessories Discussion Placing this section a bit out of order near the top, because I'm sure many people are will be wondering... what else do I need order to finish out the suit? Well, let's get into it. 21. Gloves As far as I am aware, there are currently two options for gloves - either Endor Finders on the left, or TrooperBay on the right. Both have their benefits, which I'll get into, but overall, I think I prefer the Endor Finders. Endor Finders In general, I feel the Endor Finders are ever so slightly higher quality, though the soft inner lining will likely get removed, as I did with my all black Rogue One TK gloves from them. I'd rather have cooler hands in the California heat. Both sets of gloves had visible purple staining on the white leather as delivered, from the black thread in the palms and likely just transfer from the material, and the EF gloves also had a clear imprint where the outline of the thumb left a slight impression on the leather of the palm as well. If I purchased these again, I would go for the option to have white palm thread, and while less accurate, I would likely (painstakingly) color in the thread myself with a black paint pen or something that would not stain purple (NOT SHARPIE). TrooperBay These were an older pair of gloves from TrooperBay that came with my fiberglass kit purchase years ago, so I will say I am unsure of the quality when new. They're decent gloves overall, but pretty thin and they are also stained purple on the white leather all over. The handguards are resin cast from original, from Dantooine Props and attached with velcro to the gloves. 22. Boots I have had a pair of boots from Imperial Boots Keep Trooping since I started my ROTK project and will be utilizing them. They're high quality, fit great, and are more comfortable than disco boots. 23. Neckseal, Undersuit/Gaskets & Shiny Shorts I'll likely be using my neckseal and shirt from Sheev's Emporium (which has the awesome and accurate angle change on the arm gasket ribbing), and knee gaskets. I originally ordered them with pants, but I think I'm just going to cut the pants part off of it and have them be sleeves with velcro on the ends like the Denuo Novo ones, but so that they match. The pants were a good idea and they are generally well-made, but make things more complicated. The shiny shorts are from Teresa at Geeky Pink's Phantastic Gaskets, who also make excellent soft parts for FOTKs. The included Denuo Novo gaskets actually look okay but would need to be tailored and are oddly just like... inside out. They have a more shiny/rubbery interior and a cloth exterior - I would just wear them inside out, but would need to remove and resew the velcro, and turn the seams inside out as well. Maybe if I'm having them tailored to fit anyways, but probably not worth the time when I have my Sheev ones. I have no interest in owning actual rubber gaskets at this time and consider their specific mention unnecessary even at L3 - no way would I survive trooping in the Southern California heat anyways. If that's your thing, I believe they are available from Thorsson and Associates. 24. Belt Pouches It should be noted that the tallest pouch that Denuo Novo included does not really fit the largest belt box plate (38A), so I will be utilizing one from TrooperBay instead. 25. Blaster 26. Accessories
  11. Troop #24: November 13th, 2021—Geeky Gift Holiday Market, London, ON With the pandemic still fresh at the time, London Comic Con didn't run last year - instead, they organized a smaller, holiday "mini-con" that could better facilitate physical distancing protocols. Our collection of props and set pieces in the London area continues to grow as more of our members venture into 3D-printing and prop-making. Lucky me, who gets to stand with them! A couple with me in my TK. And some more photos from the event: I'm the Jedi in this one.
  12. I think it's time to open a thread here about my newly acquired Anovos TK suit. this is a factory assembled ensemble that lived in someone's garage for years. Now it's mine and I WILL be putting it into service soon I hope. still has the plastic on much of it. only a few soft goods missing, and 1 hand plate. Parts: Armor - Anovos pre assembled Ensemble Helmet - Included helmet fans - TroopaCoola Under-suit - black compression skirt and pants off internet... Neckseal - Geeky Pinks or Anovos (have both) Belt - included (plan to replace, but as yet not ordered) Gloves - Joseph Pedigo Hand Plates - Joseph Pedigo Boots - Crowprops Voice Amp - TRamp E-11 Blaster - TroopaCoola JMC Follow that build here Revvek’s E-11 [TroopaCoola JMC] blaster build
  13. Now that Mimic is planning to ship out our armor in two batches, I thought its time for me to post up my build thread. Mimic states that he's going to ship the kits in 2 batches, the first to dispatch is the back, butt, abs, chest, yoke and cod. The limbs and helmet will come later on. So far, this is where I am with my needed gear: Gaskets - Geeky Pink Gaskets -got them Gloves - Imperial Boots -got them Boots - Imperial Boots -got them Neck Seal - using my current ANH TK neck seal Belt - Jafo - got it Cloth Pouches - trooperbay - got them Undersuit - StormtrooperUndersuit.com -got it Blaster Rifle 3D printed kit of the F11D about 75% sanded Pistol3D printed SE44c hasn't been started aside from printing it - waiting in a box for me to sand it Helmet - Anovos TLJ Helmet Electronics - Ukswrath's amp/speakers, home made USB fan rig -I've got them, but haven't installed them yet Armor - Backstate Props (FOTK preorder) Harness - condor tactical vest Am I missing anything? After getting the undersuit and trying it on, I'm pumped to get this armor completed. The undersuit is already more comfortable than what I wear with my current TK. With 4 other people here in Vermont on this Mimic order, we're going to look amazing. **EDIT** after pulling the plug on Mimic's run, I've now ordered a TFA kit from KB Props. I opted for TFA vs TLJ primarily because I already have the helmet. There are now 3 of us in VT instead of 5 building together. KB told us 4-5 weeks. The hype has returned. **EDIT (again)** KB Props has declared that he's closing and has advised all unfullfilled orders to seek refunds from Paypal. **EDIT (good things come in threes)** My Vermont group is now on the BSP FOTK preorder. They claim to be pulling all the preorders in June but only time will tell. If this vendor doesn't come through, I'm switching my project time/energy to a wookie. **EDIT (last one for I hope)** I sold my Anovos TFA helmet and have switched my plan to TLJ after acquiring the Anovos TLJ
  14. Hey guys! As I stated in my introductory post, I’m new here from Arvada, Colorado. I’m a long time Star Wars fan and have always wanted it to play a bigger part in my life. Now that I’m older and financially able to throw around some money on big boy toys, I’ve decided to make one of those toys a full on armor kit. Looking to build a Centurion Level TLJ FOTK Officer. The image below is what made me choose this character (I’m aware the image is from TFA). I did however jump the gun (before reading all the posts) and ordered armor directly from Anovos. I have since read the posts and I understand the possible sticky position I’ve gotten myself into but I’m also prepared to give another armory an order and sell this one if Anovos takes too long delivering. After a bit of recent research and digging through other builds, I’ve started to collect a few things. Keep in mind I usually go all out when I decide to do some sort of project. So yes, some things might not be necessary, but hey, why not? Still looking into what to get and what items are the best looking and best quality for the money but most importantly, what will allow Centurion Level approval. Please provide any comments or advice to help me along, I’ll definitely need it once assembly starts. Looking forward to this journey with you guys and I will be sure to post pics as things happen!

  16. After reading/researching other build threads here, observing and talking to local garrison members I am starting one of these threads! My first official build step (other than acquiring the kit). I just purchased a kit from a fellow garrison member here in VT who lost interest in the build . The good thing is it is staying within our local squad and most of the trim work is done (only the belt, ab boxes and ankles left). All the soft goods came with the purchase as well . The kit is from Back Stage Props, that I believe, has since gone out of business. I have two other members @ShadyP here that bought this run a few years ago who I will be working with. The known issue with this early kit is the lack of a return edge on the chest yoke. I am in communication with a few vendors to see if I can get a replacement part instead of trying to build an edge. Here is what I have so far with a few pics: Boots: Imperial Boots Belt kit: Belts of The First Order Pouches x2: Trooper Bay Gaskets: Geeky Pink (he and I are are ironically close in size- 5'6" and slim) Tactical vest Gloves: Endor's (I think) Under suit: UK Extreme Racing Helmet: Anovos "BBB Day" for me was the day I got to pick everything up from my fellow squad member! Nice boxes of pre-trimmed armor I started to lay everything out and label L/R Belt Kit Blaster base and shoulder bell hanger Greeblies (I think everything is here?) Gaskets
  17. My gaskets, neck seal and harness arrive from Geeky Pinks!!
  18. Ok I have been collecting bits for several years, this part from here, that part from there. (Details later) and yesterday, my biggest box finally arrived, my KB A- FOTK kit. The build can finally begin! (I’m sure there will be things I’m missing) Next, find time to sort and label things and continue researching others KB builds to get a better feel for how these kits go together. Parts: Armor - KB Props (May the 4th A-) Helmet - Anovos Standard (FA and TLJ) {also got a KB FA helmet, but I may sell it} Gaskets - Geeky Pink’s (Then perhaps rubber ones) Neckseal - Geeky Pinks or Anovos (have both) Belt - Belts of the First Order Belt Pouches - Trooperbay Gloves - Imperial Boots Boots - Imperial Boots Metal Holster - R2Dan (order request posted, no response at the moment) F-11D - Imperial Factory printed 5th Horseman and Anovos F-11D guts - BlastFX (in the T5H at some point) SE-44C - Imperial Factory printed 5th Horseman Voice Amp - TRamp

Stavros took pride as an Imperial Security Bureau officer with the Hellenic Outpost. Stavros was one of the Outpost's most active members and could always be counted on to bring a smile to events. Along with representing the 501st Legion at conventions, Stavros supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation in costume. Our condolences go out to his family, friends. "Buckets Off" We have plenty going on in the background presently, that is keeping your staff busy preparing for a huge July. As you may or may not be aware, July 6th 2021 marks our 15th Anniversary as a detachment so lots of forward planning is in play, so expect plenty of hype when that kicks off. Presently we have the C500 pin run to close out once those are received by Justin. He will start shipping them out to as quickly as possible, so keep an eye out on the sales threads for his updates. Anniversary coin run. Still in the interest phase of proceedings, but we have had a huge response so far. I believe the total interest is around the 700 piece mark already and no doubt that has been spurred on by the fact Celebration looks to be going ahead next year. Make sure you post your interest in the thread before it closes off HERE I can confirm one of our Attache's has stepped up to the call of duty and will be helming the run when it becomes official. Please join me in thanking TK12953 jsilvius (James) for taking on the challenge of helping his fellow brothers and sisters, we are one step closer to making this all happen. Currently we have had the designs checked with a few manufacturers and with minimal adjustment, these coins can become a reality. They still require Legion and , Disney LFL approval as any merch item quantity over 250 requires the House of mouse to say yes. We don't foresee any issue here unless we get restricted on quantity, but James and I will keep you up to date once we have final approval and launch the sales thread in the near future. We will get you pricing as soon as possible and will update the interest thread with that. Next it's time to hand out a well earned piece of recognition and an award. It brings the staff great pleasure to announce this members second 3D contributors award for his continued work and update on E-11 3d files, upgrade kits for the Rogue One variant and an outstanding and most professional set of instructions for his model. All this and it is free for members to download and build for personal use. Thinking quickly, she dialed 911. The wind blew the fire and smoke quickly onto/into her own building melting her shop front, burning her chairs, melting her vinyl, and wrecking her sign. Her window frame is ruined and it needs to be replaced along with the window, and there is water damage to the front of the building and deck as well. The fire burned so hot her metal door warped. She cannot properly close up her shop. The front of her shop has literally melted. The door is custom sized and needs a to be custom built to be replaced. Not only that, but the entire front of her shop was full of fabric, papercraft, and inside of her shop that is now irreversibly smoke damaged that needs to be replaced. Even when she removes those items, there is still smoke damage to the basic structure and it needs to be professionally cleaned. The person that was in charge of the building that caught fire is without insurance and will not be paying for any of these damages. Teresa is the epitome of a "Bad Girl Doing Great". She has spent this entire pandemic sewing tens of thousands of masks, giving them out to her community, to first responders, to anyone who ever even asked both locally and all around the world. As her 501st brothers and sisters, we would like to help HER out in her time of need: Troopers helping Troopers. For this reason, we have created "Geeky Pinks Fire Restoration Fundraiser". The blood clot in his lung has gone away! Recent scans show that the first tumor is now no longer viable which is wonderful news. However, a new cancerous tumor has been found and they’ll soon be treating it with target radiation. Currently Jim’s meld score isn’t high so he’s low on the list. In about 3 months that score will increase because of the cancer. They have to wait a full 6 months in order to allow acceptation points to be added to his meld score and we are only at the 3 month mark. Now, if he can get a liver from live donor he does not have to wait till later this year for the transplant. The longer he has to wait to for these points and a deceased donor the more his likelihood of cancer forming in his liver increases. We want to thank everyone who has already reached out to the hospital about becoming a potential donor. We were overwhelmed with the amount of people who are wanting to help. If you’re interested in seeing if you could be a potential donor please message me if you have questions or call Eileen at Allegheny General Hospital at 412-359-6253. Please help Jim so he can continue to be the dad, husband and friend for many many years to come. He can’t wait to get back to trooping in his Star Wars costume and putting smiles on kids faces again. Attention fellow troopers During the forum clean up process we have discovered many build threads that are affected by Photobucket watermarks and or broken image links and missing photos. Some of these we have been able to restore to their former glory, but others not so. Many of these build threads are very very good, and the levels of detail excellent for our new members, but due to some having upwards of 40 images, they are far too much work to attempt to restore by us. We are asking that if you have a build thread on the FISD forums that it may well be subject to the issues as mentioned above. If this is the case, you can expect your thread will be re-located to a temporary holding area called "Build Threads requiring Maintenance" and will be the responsibility of the original poster to fix the photo and image issues. These build threads will only be held in this temporary area for a period of 6 months, and if not attended to in that time frame will be permanently archived. All threads that are fixed by the original poster, will be returned to their rightful homes under the specific costume designation build threads on the forums. If you value your build thread and its information please attend to it before it is moved from view. Glen and I will start to populate the maintenance sub forum over the next few days. here is the link https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/241-build-threads-requireing-maintenance/ We appreciate your assistance with this, and hope to see at least some of these brilliant builds and history restored. Thanks to Rat and Teresa for all their efforts! Also here are our mid of the year insights to the social media statistics: We've not yet reached our goal of 16.000 followers on the Facebook page, but we're well on the way to that milestone. I'm confident the numbers keep rising when we can report of our members trooping this summer. Our Facebook group is still well received with a growth of nearly 200 new members this year! The FISD Instagram account enjoys great attention and could gain 80 new followers since the beginning of this year! Even though our number of followers on twitter has slightly regressed, the profile is developing great with hundreds of profile visits and more than 1k of tweet impressions. He also worked as a stunt performer for Lucasfilm classics such as Howard the Duck and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He is best known for his roles as Twiki in the television series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and Cousin Itt in The Addams Family. In his own words displayed on his website, "I am proud to have entertained over 3 generations of T.V. and Film viewers, and hope I have given you a few laughs... and screams!" "Buckets Off" Legendary model maker Ira Keeler, 80 years old, passed away on April 15, 2021 after a long illness. Ira was a self-taught model maker, a truly gifted artist and craftsperson. Best known for his work at Industrial Light and Magic, for nearly two decades he was an invaluable member of the team and contributed to dozens of projects. Ira is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joy; daughter, Dawn; son, Shawn; granddaughter, Jessica; grandson, Matthew; brother, Dave and sisters, Nita and Rita. Our condolences go out to his family, friends. "Buckets Off" Greetings fellow bucket heads, and welcome to the May edition! We have a few announcements to make this month but I will leave those for the most part with various other staff members to cover off. I will discuss the boring stuff lol, and offer an update on how we are tracking to plan for the year thus far. We had the benefit of starting a little earlier than most, bypassing a full election so we are looking at the best part of the last 3 months worth of work. I feel it's always good to talk about where we have come from and to where we are going next, and plan updates also give good transparency and keep your command staff accountable. Lets take a look. The biggest and to be honest, toughest job by far is the forum clean up. We have been going strong on this for over a year. One of the most time consuming aspects continues to be Photobucket image restoration. I'm not joking, this has been monumental. The benefits are well worth it though, so many threads can now be viewed in all their former glory, and the gems we have discovered during works have been wonderful. Work will continue, until we have rectified as much as possible, then we shall move into another phase of restoration which is refinement of content. This will lead to the creation of some new sections and or name name changes. In doing this, we can also launch new initiatives which are part of the future planning, but we are not there yet. One such change spurred on by the clean up was the launch of the Newsletter archive. There is some serious history in those pages well worth preserving and reading through, and we believe was definitely worth the investment in time. It's now easy for everyone to jump in and enjoy the content from the last 10 years. If you haven't already, go take a walk down memory lane. Another new section of the forums"The TK Trading Post", was created to cater for those who are starting out in the merch trading game. You have a detachment based home for in house trading of coins patched pins etc, it's also a bit of fun and a good way to talk with other like minded members. Being mindful in further improving that experience, we also now have an easy to find archive of all the FISD coins and patches made to date. The FISD "Coin and patch Repositories". These will continue to gain additions as we release new and exciting merch items into the future. We hit the Centurion 500 milestone in great stride, and opened the sales thread for an exclusive to the 500 Centurions, special edition pin. These should be going to manufacture as we release this months Newsletter so keep an eye open for updates if you have ordered. The Force Unleashed Stormtrooper, finally a 501st approvable costume. Yes our very own Newsletter publisher Glen gmrhodes13, built weathered and painstakingly brought this costume to life. The CRL was presented to the LMO team and subsequently approved. It's great to have another addition to the TK line up, and a slightly dirtier one at that. FISD 15th anniversary planning. This has been discussed at great length and suffice to say we have some awesome things planned already. You will see further into in the newsletter we are already set with our first celebratory merch item design, we did this through a competition format with your command team voting on the eventual winner. Make sure you keep reading to find out all the details. What's to come? New Forums sections that will continue to bring forum engagement from the membership. Some will be tethered to our Social media platforms where information posted out there will bring people in to see the main content. More CRL work will come later in the year, these are always decent sized tasks specially where some do need major work and re writes. We need the right people available to work on some of these because they need to be done well so please be patient if you are indeed waiting for one to be updated. More merch is in the planning but we are mindful that it needs to be items you guys and gals want, this being our anniversary year gives us plenty of reason to celebrate come July, and that will last right through to next July so there is plenty of scope ahead. That's it from me this month, now you can get on with reading all the truly exciting stuff With Unquestioned Loyalty Andrew Franke TK11469 "Sly11" Detachment Leader CENTURION500 PINS CLOSED Run has now closed, you can find updates here FISD 15th Anniversary Coin Design Contest NOW CLOSED In the interest of transparency, and just for fun, I suppose... I have to tell all of you, that these entries generated more excitement and discussion among the Detachment Staff than I have seen for previous design contest submissions. 22. Name: Thor Nualsumlee Armor Maker: Anovos Helmet: Anovos Gaskets: Geeky pink Boots: Imperial Boots Height & Weight: No shoes I am 6’ even 165lbs Hello! I just moved from California and i’m trying to get into 501st Carolina Garrison with this new FOTK armor. Sadly I had to let my ANH hero go so I have to get re-approve with this new one. I requested Legion of the Guard to transfer my TKID over but currently I am retired looking to get back into the game. Thank you for helping. https://ibb.co/HHv6vFb https://ibb.co/qFFhZ5k https://ibb.co/QpSWfwg https://ibb.co/JmLfp0B https://ibb.co/VVPWMZ2 https://ibb.co/MDTxb5C https://imgur.com/a/BL8FjUv
  23. So last month I made a build thread in TLJ FOTK section about getting started on a TLJ FOTK. But I guess it was my bad to think I would get TLJ armor with my TLJ helmet. KB Props armor is TFA by default even if you get a TLJ helm, so that brings about a bit of issues when its time to go for EIB and Centurion. [IE: Cods are different, forearms are different, thermal detonator is different, and probably more I dont know about] Speaking of EIB, theres this #1000 EIB thing going on in the FISD announcements that I think I want to be a part of. So I've decided instead of TLJ to go full TFA to see if I can reach this milestone before the window closes. I'm pretty new to all this but from the previous thread I've already been through the whole BBB moment and got the ball rolling with trimming stuff. I've been scratched by abs, glued my fingers together, and got pinched by neodymium magnets. I've even been burned by CA glue already and almost lit a paper towel on fire! All the great noob stuff ya'll missed! Plan is to look something like this guy by the end of everything. Not gonna have the heavy F11-D at the moment, and I may or may not have the pauldron when I go for EIB cause the window is closing pretty fast, and theres a lot to do! Also 2 rifles? Overkill maybe? Should have an SE-44C holstered I feel like. Guy is packing some serious heat and doesnt even have the ammo vest! Anyways, I'm gonna do like my other thread and list off equipment I have thus far. I'll be editing this to reflect updates on what I have and what I need to get. Parts List: -Hard Bits- TFA Helmet: Anovos (Received) Armor: KB Props (Received) Pauldron: KB Props (Received) Holster: R2Dan (Inquired) Yoke Reinforcement: Ukswrath (Received) -Soft Bits- Belt: JAFO Belts of the First Order (Need to get a bit further in fitment before I commit to a size) Pouches: TrooperBay (Received) Gloves: Endor Finders (Received) Boots: Imperial Boots (Received) Undersuit: StormtrooperUndersuit (Received) Balaclava: UnderArmor HeatGear Tactical Balaclava (Received) Rubber Gaskets: Imperial Gaskets Cloth Gaskets: Sheev's Emporium (Received) Neck Seal: Sheev's Emporium (Received) Harness: Geeky Pink -Electronics- Helmet Cooling: Ukswrath Comm System: Ukswrath Chatter Loop: Ukswrath -Weapons- Z6 Riot Baton aka "Whappity Stick": Force FX Black Series Z6 Riot Baton Hasbro (Acquired) SE-44C Pistol: Arsenal Studio (Received) F11-D Blaster: Arsenal Studio (Ordered) Heavy F11-D Blaster: Branfuhr Studios -Armor Storage- Chest: Husky 37in Rolling Tool Box Utility Cart (Acquired) As I've said in the other thread, this my first stormtrooper and this be exciting times! I hope I can pull this off in time to make it to that special EIB, if not. Oh well, it'll be fun anyway!
