  1. Really? I'm 174 cm (5'9), same height as Mark Hamill ("too short for a stormtrooper") See? Paul agrees with me about the tabs under the shoulder straps! But do as you wish, really. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with it. I did the same as you with the chest, and I'm pretty happy with it. The only real problem is that, if I lean forward, sometimes the chest gets the button part and you can hear a clear "clack!" I'm not too keen of the Luke look, and I think if I wanted to do that, I'd go for a Hero look instead, to be coherent. Looking great mate!
  2. Hey Rich! Mmmm, let's see... There's a couple of things I see about your chest/back. (I'll use TK 300's web as reference) In the following picture, it looks like the back is overlapping the kidney piece. I don't see most of the troopers with that overlapping. This is my back: And this, as reference: You can see that the upper "horns" (the part connecting the back with the chest) are way shorter than yours: So maybe you should put the back in an upper position and trim the "horns" a bit. Regarding the chest, I did exactly the same as you: I cut a deeper neck curve, to be able to put the chest piece higher, so it won't cover the buttons: And yours (cutting pending ): I see your shoulders OK. If you want to make them look "smaller" just put them closer to your neck, by shortening the elastic that joins them to the shoulder strips. (I'm going to do that too) Look at my shoulders, and they are as "big" (or maybe bigger/longer) than yours: I can say nothing about the sides. I knew TM had larger sides than the AP. If you're not skinny, the AP barely gives you room to play witht the sides. It's either you're skinny or add a shim. But you can trim the TM as much as you need! I consider that a plus of the TM. But ask someone with a TM for that part (Pablo might be a good candidate). All in all, it's looking great! And you're going really fast! Cheers.
  3. Go Rich, Go! Looking great mate, as always!
  4. Ha, ha, ha! Rich, you're incredible. England's goalkeeper, on the other side... I'd really like to see the outcome of your work.
  5. What can I say Rich?.. AWESOME!!!! You took an AP and made it EIB in record time. Now you have a GREAT TM and will make it a dual EIB... I truly want to see the progress of this. And again, I hope we can troop together very soon. I want to see an EIB TM with my own eyes! As I told you on the SG forums, whatever you need, just let me know. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
  6. Thanks guys! @Vern: No, I've still to put the film. I think this Friday maybe, as I have an event on Saturday. BTW: I love the holster!
  7. Congrats Matt! It's so good to see you back in armor again. BTW: your action shot is a bit out of focus at the helmet zone, but I'll try to do my best for the EIB profile. Cheers.
Saludos.
  9. No, he can't really. Unless you get one second hand. This could be a good time, as the euro is in a low price point. But I'm sure you have other options. Though I have not seen other helmets and don't know how big the others are. I only have my AP and my SDS.
  10. The SDS is pretty comfortable. Bigger than the AP, at least.
  11. You dumb a**! (You made me laugh) Edit: you make me think I've opened the Pandora's box of stupid HOWTOs...
  12. Thanks all of you!!! I'm extremely happy! I want to say that this was possible thanks to the help of all of you, members and staff of the FISD. This is an awesome group of individuals, always eager to help. Thanks to your this hobby is a pleasure! I want to thank the following people for their support, help and inspiration (in no particular order): Paul "Daetrin" and Terrel "SuperTrooper" for all of this , Mark "ABS80" for the armor, Pete "Stukatrooper" for his wonderful tutorials, Tim "TrooperTim" for the great building thread, Mark "FirebladeJedi" for the incredible belt, Lou "DarthVoorhes" for the hovis, Dan "R2Dan" fot the latex handguards, Paul "TrooperMaster" for all the knowledge and the superb necktrim, Pablo "TKDUEUNO" for inspiration, Vern "TK Bondservnt" for the great holster and all the advice, all the guys who helped here on the FISD (too many to name) and all my mates of the Spanish Garrison. Thanks again. And of course, I'm always here to help other troopers to get EIB status. You just need to ask. "Troopers helping troopers"
  13. Yes! Of course we can! We have a lot of troopers with AP, they just need to get rid of the faucet aerators and get a decent belt and most of them are EIB ready! You'll probably be #4. Magoamb can be #5. Gonzo has the EIB bug too, so he can probaly be #6. I know Carson wants to go EIB too, so that makes 7. We'll have to convince others, like Franchos (SDS) and Talon Karrde (another AP). It's just a matter of spreading the EIB fever. So now I have to help magoamb make his FX+MR kit comply with EIB standards.
  14. Great comparison! Now... what about the smell? Are TKBoots as smelly as CABoots?
  15. Wow! Bucket porn! You collection is really great Vern! Congrats.
  16. So, one of my Spanish Garrison's mate has got the EIB bug (He, he, he! I may have something to do with that... ) He's got a FX armor + MR CE helmet combo, and I wanted to know all the mods needed for EIB status, since I have an AP and for me it was pretty easy. I've already looked some threads, but I'm not completely sure of all the mods needed. Can somebody help me? If you can point me to the appropiate thread, I'd really appreciate it. Or if you can list the needed mods, it would be great. Thanks!
  17. Great! Now just put a building thread.
  18. Ouch! I knew I was missing something! OK, here it is. Hovies by Lou (TK 6908, "Darth Voorhees"): I have more pictures if needed. I hope this is all. Now it's all in Master Terrell's hands!
  19. OK, I finally found some time to get my pictures taken, so here you have it: Interior of helmet (not actual, but the acetate's the same): Blaster: The detail of my armor is documented here: TK-Dmian's AP status Changes made since that thread: I painted the latex handguards white and finished my AP helmet and my blaster. I hope Master Terrell finds everything OK. Cheers.

    MEPD Down

Because then the confusion with the HWT would be enormous!
  21. Congrats Kevin! Yep, that'll work just fine! I'll see if I can update all the missing EIB's pictures tonight, and then you'll have to wait till Terrell uploads the picture. Cheers.
  22. Congrats Terry!
  23. BTW: What's been of Miranda? ("Spoox" from Alaskan Outpost.) Haven't heard of her in a while... She's not listed as TK on the 501st site, but she had almost finished her armor. She even trooped her TK. She has great skills, and was doing a great job. Any news about her?
  24. Great build! Congrats Conny! (and Richard) Do you have a bigger version of the action shot, by any chance? Cheers.
