  1. Strictly speaking, first generation molds are originals, sculpted by hand, so if you're talking about screen used helmets, first generation were the ones made by Andrew Ainsworth in the 70s. I think he said something about selling what he had in the 90s, but no idea who purchased that. All molds taken from an existing product are 2nd generation molds. So, strictly speaking, only TM has 1st generation molds.
  2. Congrats! Hope to see your build thread soon.
  3. Wow! just... wow... You're starting to make me feel a bit of envy (and I'm not the kind of guy who usually feels envy). Someday... I hope. I'm just glad for you. And Paul... the guy is an artist.
  4. Pablo just nailed it. Exactly what I'm thinking seeing this. This, I think, is what everybody in this hobby should try to achieve one day, if they really care for the hobby. Cheers mate, you've made something extraordinary.
  5. I'm an AP owner, and can say it's a very nice piece of armor. I'm very happy with it. I build it ANH style, and it's awesome. I've never seen an AM, so I can't say anything about it. To be sincere, the only fan sculpt I personally like is TM, but as I said, I haven't seen an AM in person, so maybe it's worth considering. But, if you want to go ROTJ style, Joe is your man. (Specially if he has an offer for you! ) I hope you can build your armor soon. There are nice examples of ROTJ EIBs around, so try to get as much info as possible. Cheers.
  6. Ha, ha, ha! Thanks! I thought that being our first ICN he deserved something special. I'm glad you liked it.
  7. I'm pestering my garrison constantly and 2 or 3 more Spanish Garrison members expressed their will to go EIB (and required my help)
  8. Looking forward for September, 25th, 2010. Toledo will be our greatest event! :)

  9. Isn't it great? People is getting approved with EIB-grade armor nowadays! That means the detachments is fulfilling its mission. Great work Kev! Awesome armor.
  10. Which one do you prefer for the EIB profile pic, the ANH or the ESB? Also, will you bring both to Toledo? Congrats man, great work!
  11. Our first double EIB! Great guy, Rich! Easy pass on both, I guess.
  12. Okidoki chief! I'll add him to the queue with the other pics I'm working on.
  13. Nice job Manu!!!!!! I know how hard you worked to get to EIB status, specially with the helmet. I'm VERY happy for you! Just tell me which picture you'd like for your EIB profile. Congrats! Yay! another one for the Spanish Garrison! (and 2 more on the way)
  14. Nice job! The armor looks great! (and the studio pics are gorgeous) Have you decided on a picture for your EIB profile? Cheers.
  15. Hi Mason! 1st: Congrats! Awesome armor you have there! 2nd: Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't have a TKID yet, right? I need a TKID for your EIB profile pic. (Unless Terrell agree to put your EIB pic without TKID.) 3rd: Fifth picture from top is OK for the profile pic? The helmet is fully visible and will fit in the frame. 4th: Say hi to Brian Fong if you see him! Cheers. BTW: I liked the pics with your son on it!
  16. Well, that's one of the reasons I try to keep slim... I have option B on my belt (it's more practical) but it's clear that option C was what they used in the movies. (Jee! another upgrade to my suit to put on the list. ) As always: it's only important if you want that level of accuracy. Bear in mind that we use the armor for longer periods of time, without taking it out. At least the stunts were allowed to take out most of the suit in between takes. I think the longer I've used my armor was almost 4 hours straight (without using the restroom!) You have to reach a compromise between confort and accuracy somewhere. And also, you have to reach a personal compromise between looking as good as your body allows and be screen accurate. All are personal decisions. Edit: if we really want to be accurate, we should use kaki green HDPE helmets painted white for stunts. White ABS helmets should only be used for Hero suits (always talking about ANH, of course). I think we should make a distinction between looking accurate and being accurate. You can look accurate without duplicating every single detail of the original armor (like HDPE helmets or hidden features). But if you want to be screen accurate, you should strive to replicate as closely as possible every detail and nuance of the screen used suits.
  17. Pues para ser sinceros, creo que he gritado más que algunos amigos...
