  1. Yeah, but you'll have to own a real Dewback in order to get approved!
  2. Yes, YES, YES!!! I love a great looking HWT! Your BFG is awesome! Great job and congrats!
  3. Prayers sent!
  4. I just read lips as they talk.
  5. I use Novus polish, it is the best for removing all types of scratches and marks from armor. You can purchase it on Amazon.com.
  6. Chris, the armor looks fantastic! You are one good looking trooper!
  7. If you have a large head, you will not be able to fit into any helmet! I cannot get my head into an AP helmet, I tried my friends on and couldn't get it past my nose. I wore a Master Replica Collectors Edition, the current incarnation is being made by EFX. It was plenty roomy and could add fans in it as well. I upgraded to an MTK and had Mike build it for me, I gave him the exact measurements on the opening on my MRCE and he cut it to the same size which enabled me to get my head in, but it is definitely smaller over all. I have put my fans in it and it is definitely snugger and a bit of a challenge to get on and off with the fans in it.
  8. What about shoulder bells, they seem to be missing? Plus a knee plate is needed on the left lower leg.
  9. Mike, Maybe something right after the ceremony is over would be good, that way the official part is done, and you can perhaps have some of the TK's from your garrison waiting outside, lined up by the limo! That would be a very cool surprise and you better believe everyone there will be snapping photos of it!
  10. Yeah, times have changed and evolved so it probably won't pass. It's like saying that you found an original Macintosh computer from the 80's in your basement and are wondering if you can use it to run the programs available today on it.
  11. To be fair, only one person used the name "knob" and that is a member from the UK. (Thanks for name-calling and spoiling the thread).
  12. Woo wee, that is some amazing looking armor! You should be very proud!
  13. I'm sure if "Roy" knew that he was offending serious prospects by his snippyness, he would change his ways.
  14. What do you wanna bet that there is some Cosplay forums out there where they discuss how stuck up and snobby the 501st Legion is? They probably complain about telling people that they make their own costumes and wear them to conventions only to hear someone say "Oh, just like the 501st legion"!
  15. BTW, I just told my wife about this thread and our thoughts here and she basically laughed and me and said that there really is no difference between us and cosplayers. She said the only difference is that WE think we are better.
  16. I don't cosplay, I'm not a cosplayer and never will be! I do fantasize that everyone I tell about my TK armor will be impressed, but it's just never going to happen. You really have to be comfortable with what you do, and who you are because most people don't get excited when they learn that you dress up as a stormtrooper, in fact you can tell by the very fake tone in their voice that they think it's stupid and immature. When those type of people also ask me how much my "costume" costs, I usually don't tell them... it would just justify their condescending thoughts. I just say it costs "a lot". To be honest, I can't really blame them, it's not like I don't judge others in the same way. For example I have a neighbor who is a HUGE fan of the local university football team here and he has gone so far as to paint his door to his house the same color as the team. Every time I drive by his house and see that bright colored door I think: "How lame is that"! At the end of the day my memories of trooping and the happiness it brings for boys and girls, men and women are what I really consider important, not what others think of my hobby.
  17. But it's so close to a regular ROTJ Tk that it seems pointless IMO. Some game artist slacks off at work and forgets to remove one detail on the ears and we feel the need to create an entire new category of trooper for it? Seems ridiculous to me.
  18. I have a pair of binders (not from this particular seller) but I don't have a holster for them at all. The reason being is that with limited visibility from the helmet, plus wearing gloves which means you can't feel anything, I feel it would be impossible to take them in and out on your own while trooping. When I decide to use them, I just keep them in hand.
  19. There is a legion member selling them in different colors: they are $20 shipped in the US. Contact him directly at: [email protected]
  20. I also have a TB as my secondary trooping costume. It can get very cold in a TK in the winter so I usually bundle up in my TB instead so I can keep trooping and not risk freezing!
  21. I would say that if it's going to be sold for someone to use as just a fun gift then I'd be fine with it. If it was going to someone trying to get into the 501st then I'd definitely feel bad selling it to them.
  22. Looks very nice and I like the weathering job as well.
  23. So far today I woke up at the crack of dawn and went down to the local television station with 2 other garrison members and did some fun antics throughout their morning show to highlight May the 4th. Tonight: trooping at the library!
  24. Congrats! That gun is sa-weeeeeet! The one thing about wearing my HWT, besides the fact that the backpack gets unbearable after an hour, is that the combination of the pauldron along with shoulder pouch really restricts the movement of my helmet.
