  1. That's completely home made, a one-off made by someone... not part of a run of armor that anyone was doing. Good try, but still pretty off looking.
  2. Very nice job! I had an EFX that I too modded, but your's looks way better!
  3. Everyone should always checkout StarWarsHelmets when they first get into this hobby. It's the perfect place to learn all about the different nuances of the different types of helmets and how they should and should not look: http://starwarshelmets.com/fan-made-stormtrooper-armor-submenu.htm
  4. Wow, you look great in it Todd! Question: does having the tubes attached to the helmet restrict your movement of your head?
  5. Wow, it looks soooo good! Really well done!
  6. The knees look impossible to replicate in real life... the entire leg appears to be one piece. Also, I hate the tread on the boots... they look like burnt marshmallows!
  7. I'll be watching this thread! I was just noticing how much the cost of the Hasbro blasters has done up! They used to be cheap and easily found in many store. I picked one up at Walmart for $17 back in 2010.
  8. Actually if you look closely there are drop boxes.
  9. Found this on DeviantArt: it's a mash up of Iron Man with a stormtrooper. Don't know how I feel about it yet...
  10. All very nice! On your Biker Scout, what is the leather strapping on your left shoulder bell?
  11. OK, I just have to share what has been helping me shed the pounds this past month. I have been Juicing which is only drinking fruit and vegetable drinks each day, plus plenty of water. I have been doing this for about 6 days in a row and then taking a break for a few days. I've lost almost 20 lbs in one month! I'm on my third time doing it right now and it's really not as hard as you'd think. Sure it is tempting to want to eat when others around me are eating delicious food that I can smell, but I've found that I can function completely normally just on the juice and water. I thought it would be torture but it really isn't. My body works fine because it is using up all of my stored fat on my body for fuel. If you are thinking about trying this out you'll have to get a Juicer which is different than a blender. A juicer extracts just the juice from something while a blender combines the juice with the food as well. Good juicers can be expensive ($100+), but I got a really good one cheaply by finding it in the local classifieds ($65). My usual drink consists of the following: an apple, an orange, two carrots, 1 celery stick, 1/3 of a cucumber, and some grapes. I can't tell you how excited I am to troop again knowing that I'm going to fit into my armor much easier and look better in pictures!
  12. I hot-glued my fan in. What's nice about that is that if you want to remove the hot glue later you can just aim a hair dryer at it to heat it up so that it will come off easily.
  13. The ab plate opens up and there is a lever on the back. But it's pretty fragile, I don't think it could actually crack open any nuts. It's about 10 inches tall.
  14. Just picked up my TK nutcracker today at Hobby Lobby. It's retail price is $39.99 but all of their holiday merchandise is 50% so I only paid $20!
  15. Congrats! I too have FX armor.... good job on getting it approved.
  16. Great photos. So by putting someone in this suit, we can infer that EFX is no longer just advertising this as a prop piece that sits on a mannequin, but as a costume for trooping as well.
  17. ALPINE STRIKE TEAM We just got our team approved last month, so of course we are all active!
  18. Probably just needs to pay his hosting fees and it will be up again.
  19. I also love this line: "there was a certificate with this piece but we have been unable to find it so you only have my word that it is authentic."
  20. If you believe everything you read on the internet, then this is an authentic helmet from the movie (yeah right!) http://www.ebay.com/itm/original-starwars-stormtrooper-helmet-off-movie-set-/390634405142?pt=UK_Collectables_SciFi_fantasyCollectables_EH&hash=item5af39ffd16 Here is the item description: "I am selling this superb original stormtroopers helmet for a friend, she has told me it was purchased off movie set, there was a certificate with this piece but we have been unable to find it so you only have my word that it is authentic, there is a slight crack at bottom right of helmet, dosen"t really affect appearance of helmet, great piece." Theres much more than a "slight crack" on this! What a piece of garbage!
  21. That's almost worse than the infamous "Star Wars Kid" video!
