  1. Comparing this to EFX is like comparing apples to dried prunes!!! The diamond knee is there to make a sandy which is basically the same armor with some different parts
  2. I use 6/32 on my helmets and they look the correct size when compared to the movie helmets, so you might be right that 3.5 is the shank and not the head size. Mark (AP)
  3. Avoid heat gun at all cost! many customers ruined parts and helmets ABS as high rubber content, too much heat and will just warp without warning. Mark (AP)
  4. yes the same mic tips are included
  5. That's much better, at least the lip doesn't stand out as much Mark (AP)
  6. carefully score using a exacto around lip and snap, then do some sanding final sanding thats how I trim all my ears, its actually easier to do when all material is there, you can also use a dremel sanding drum and carefully sand away all excess material or shave using exacto, whatever you feel more comfortable. any small gaps is normal no need to be perfect, I built tons of helmets and still have some gaps. Mark (AP)
  7. Not accurate, you need completely remove the lip both in front and back, that step is actually the marking were to trim, it looks really weird with that step, not even sure it would be approved, You can see my 3 helmets below or any movie helmet no lip whatsoever should be visible.
  8. Correct use the inside trim line and ears should fit almost perfect, the only areas which will require a bit of extra trimming is only the back side of the ears to conform to helmet tube shape as show in photo.
  9. Any movie lineage helmet will fit, once your head gets threw the bottom opening twist on motion the inside of helmet is pretty roomy
  10. You over trimmed AB plate and the reason your Kidney plate and notch doesn't line up, AB shouldn't be trimmed beyond red line, by removing that specific angled section on your AB plate you reduced the height of your AB and doesn't match the height of the Kidney plate, also your shoulder straps are at wrong angle, there should be much more gap between the two, basically be more straight going across the shoulders, your biceps are way too big they should be tight fitting as most as possible.
  11. But regardless the screws used on his Anovos helmet are smaller then the originals, you can see proportion of the head screw used on my helmet last photo and proportion is spot on and they are 6/32.
  12. or might be a possiblity not all helmets used the same size screws
  13. You might be correct but whatever he used on his Anovos helmet the heads are too small, the #6 are a closer match and by comparing to the StarWarshelmet.com photos the screws are closer to #6 .
  14. The head look too small to me and 6/32 seem just right. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-ESB-stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm Mark (AP)
  15. Great mods! I would change those ear screws which are too small, the correct ones are 6/32 and the brow trim should be cut straight at extremeties. Mark (AP)
  16. Great job so far! Decals fit perfectly if properly applied, the rear traps decals are a bit of a pain to apply but do fit nicely, always use water with 1/2 a drop of dishwashing soap to apply vinyl decals like the pros do, just wet the surface and dip decal into the water and apply, this allows to adjust decals and avoid any trapped air bubbles, working from middle of decal using your thumb rub decal toward extremeties to squeeze out water for a perfect smooth paint like finish. Check my helmet decals. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35671-new-ap-helmet/ or you can also follow these instruction to properly apply the decals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEShdlB0opw
  17. No need to round nothing, human forearms are not round to begin with, mine anyways LOL!, lately I've been seeing alot of overdone mods which actually make armor more innaccurate make your research and check photos of the real suit before doing any mods. check original ANH forearms http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/3163-imgp0111/ To loose forearms you can increase the inner forearm arch. Mark (AP)
  18. The vocoder is Testors Semi gloss black, the gray ear parts are hand painted but the black trim all around is thin vinyl decal strips. Mark (AP)
  19. Apparently the rounded "S" trim people have been using is innaccurate, the correct trim should be a flat squared "S" so it should be flat looking when installed which gives the same look as the "U" trim I'm using, so visually when installed my trim looks more accurate than the rounded "S" trim
