Websense updates their definitions and categories almost weekly, so things that get though one week sometimes gets blocked the next. AND........ if the IT staff is monitoring site usage and activity, they may classify a site because of misuse. I work in IT, and manage the voice and data networks for my City. I see this all the time.

TK 2490 Request Elite Status.[20][FX]
Scott M. replied to Darth_Nickel's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Excellent work you man!!! Everything is proceeding exactly as I have foreseen............. Oh, wait, never mind. Elite Status approved!! I appreciate you making the steps to get this as accurate as possible. I know it can be a pain when it is the smallest detail, but it makes it all worth it in the end. Paul, would you be so kind and update our newest Elite Trooper?? -
TK 2490 Request Elite Status.[20][FX]
Scott M. replied to Darth_Nickel's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Brad, Armor looks good (and I loved the pic in the FX bucket!!) I will say you are there, but I will wait to actually "deploy" you until the white strapping is done. I am mainly doing this to get the best possible pic, as well as hopefully get some really good pics for the Elite page. The ones you have are a little fuzzy, and I want to make sure your Elite pic is a good one. Make sure to get a new pic (really only need one so we can see the white strapping), and you are all set. Please also post a pick that I can use for the Elite page. (mid-thigh up, or something similar) Thanks, Scott -
I am 5'10" - 5'11" (depending on the day, and if I shave!!!!). My first kit was an FX and it fits fine. I did trim a bunch off the thighs, but other than that, it was a good fit. I do agree with Paul, in that there are other sets out there, and you might pay just a little more, but it is totally worth it in the end!!

8351 requesting ANH Elite status.[19][FX]
Scott M. replied to davej's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
David, Excellent job!! I have a local TK friend who is not 5'10", and getting the FX to look good on a trooper who is less than the 5'10" is not easy; well done (hope you take no offense, none intended!!). Elite status granted, but I have two un-official requests: 1) On the TD, almost all Elite troopers (maybe all, I would have to check), use some for of bankers clip for the TD. Here is a pic: See how the clips are used th hold the TD to the belt? I would like to see all TK's use this as their method (or something that provides a similar look) of attaching the TD. The standards do not spell it out, but it is more "canon". 2) Your bucket looks great, but I also see there appears to be a small lip/seam where your lenses connect to the inside on the eye holes. I believe a very small amount of filing/sanding/trimming will get that down, but I did notice it. That being said, please know this is a great set of submission pics. Looks great, and I will get your Elite Pic done this weekend, and I will work with Paul to get it up on the page. Paul will you be so kind as to update David's profile? Thanks, and well done trooper!!! -

Trooper Expert ESB Bucket
Scott M. replied to Smitty's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Maybe Kevin did it!?!?! Nice get by the way. Oh, and I wanted to let you know the screen mesh goes inside the helmet!! Cool bucket Smitty!! -
OK folks. I know things are crazy, but I need to set a deadline for interest. Anyone who would like to join Steve and I in Florida for SWW needs to get me a deposit prior to Wednesday, April 23rd. As of right now, there are only two of us going. I will need to release the house 45 days or so before the rental date to not lose my deposit. So, if you are interested in coming and doing the weekends, please let me know and lets get moving. I just saw a list on the Florida Garrison site, and there are over 100 troopers signed up for this weekend, so the turnout will be huge!!!! I know more are interested, so please let me know!!! Thanks, Scott (and Steve)

Awesome. So far, I have zero 100% confirmed on this, so the house may go bye-bye if we don't have enough people to split the cost. I have a Plan B, that will require a little more travel, but if we only have three or four people, will make a lot more sense. By 100% confirmed, I mean no one has sent me a PM or asked about a deposit. Until I get someone to do that, I am assuming the worst. BTW, if we go to a plan B, and the overall cost is no more than the house. I would like to ask for a $50 deposit to secure a spot. If you are in, please PM me for deposit instructions. I have already spent $200 of my own funds to secure the house, and I promise to show anyone who wants it the overall bill, and be 100% up front with this process. Every person will pay the same, and I am not making a penny on this venture. I am even renting and SUV ON MY OWN, that we can use for transportation while in Florida. BTW, I just learned that the passes we receive are good for 18 months, so the will not expire until December 2009!!! Thanks for all who have expressed interest. Scott

Sweet!!! Thanks, now who else?

Disney does a parade on Fri, Sat, and Sun each Weekend, and if the 501st/Rebel Legion can get at least 40 people to participate, we get to march in the parade. The march lasts about 10 minutes, and you get 2 WDW passes for your effort. So, march all three days, get 6 passes. Plus you get to see and meet troopers from all over the world.
-
OK, I reserved the house today, as well as an SUV for the weekend. Here is the house I have reserved for the weekend: ----------- I have not heard much yet, so I am hoping some of you are just checking schedules. If we can get a total of 8 people, the total cost for the house would only be $30 per person, per night. (let Orbitz find you a better rate!!!). Plus these is a pool, full kitchen, game room, BBQ!! So anyone in? Like I said, I already have the house and the car, so I am just waiting to see who else is going.

TK3390 Requesting Deployment.[36][FX]
Scott M. replied to Ciscotiger's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
On a Hasbro mod, that is about as low as you can get it. -
OK, I had a few folks tell me they want to do this, so I am asking again before I start making reservations. I had 4 TK's tell me they wanted to go, so that would work out the $140 a person for a three night stay in Florida. This would get us Thurs, Fri, and Sat night IN Florida, less than 7 miles from the park. There is a parade on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so we can march all three days if desired. The weekend I am planning this is June 6th - 8th. I plan to fly in Thursday night, and fly home Sunday afternoon/evening. This will allow me to march all three days. Are my 4 posters still in, and are there others? Based on Hotel rates, this is not bad for 3 nights, but it would be much better with a few more troopers. So, if you voted and are 100% sure you want to do this, please post here. I will probably ask for a deposit of funds so I can reserve the house. Also, if others want to go, that would be great. There is a series of threads on the Florida Garrison forum, and I can help with sign-up if you are serious. The parade is at 11 AM each day, and you march for about 10 minutes. Total time in armor is less than an hour, but from what I understand this is a blast!!! I am hoping some of our FL clean brothers can help out and fill us in, but I am ready to really get moving. Keep in mind a couple of things: 1) Only 501st, cannon costumes are allowed. If we all go TK, we are cool 2) There will be a check prior to marching, so we just need to make sure we look good. 3) I will be "fronting" the payment for the house, and I will only ask for the deposit to make sure you are committed. Final payment will not be due until you actually arrive, so please make sure you are serious. 4) I will be asking my local Garrison to see if anyone locally will be joining me, so feel free to do the same. All right, let the posting begin!!!

TK3390 Requesting Deployment.[36][FX]
Scott M. replied to Ciscotiger's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Anthony, You are 99% of the way there. Bucket looks great, blaster details are all set, Ab buttons look good. My issue now is with the separated butt, and kidney plate. I can imagine if I look close on one pic that the belt sneaks behind the butt plate, but in all other shots, there is no noticeable separation. Here is what I need to ask: If it is there (and I am pretty sure it is), see if you can find a way to either hike up the belt, or lower the split. You can do this either using Velcro to hold the belt up, or cut a small strip off the belt to make the separation more distinguished. It looks great, and like I said, you are sooooooo close. I just would not feel right assuming the separation is there, and it not being a part of the submission. Look forward to an updated pic very soon. Thanks, Scott -
HOUSE!!! I guess that is what happens when you type to fast.

Looks good. I will check it over closely when I get home from my son's baseball practice. Scott -
James, Post your info here: 501st access Make sure you look at the first post of the thread to see what is needed, but this will get you in. Scott

I put up a poll a while ago, and I believe there are several FISD troopers heading down for the first weekend. I will be procuring a rental hose for the weekend, and we will be planning to split the costs. Anyone who is interested, please watch as I will resurrect the long dormant thread with new details and house specifics hopefully before the week is out. It would be great to see a ton of out of town FISD members at a SWW event.

My armor so far, Any good?
Scott M. replied to ecci1976's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I agree, but another option is to use fine grit (150-250) sandpaper. Once you get it sanded sown, some Novus polish works great. Nice looking armor there, trooper!!! -
One suggestion I can make is to clear all your cookies and cashed info. In explorer, on the top, select Tools, then you should see under the General Tab a button to "Clear Browsing History" or something like that. There is a Delete button or Clear History button. Try that, then close the browser and re-open and try again. You will need to log in, as your effort just removed any info stored to help you log in automatically, but it would be my first step. Others might have some additional suggestions. Hope this helps, Scott

another rare ANH trooper pic
Scott M. replied to TK1491's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
It is a true TK, not a TD. You can barely see the ab buttons, as well as the trap lines on the helmet. Cool pic. Thanks for sharing.
