  1. Good question! I wish I knew what they were. I just made some from spare ABS
  2. Rivets dude Last thing you want you want is for bits to fall off in public
  3. Hi Scott nice lids dude Do you mind if I use one of those pics in a talk I give to wanna be 501st members please? I try to show them the difference between certain armour makers see and your pic is a great line up
  4. Are these still for order? If so please send an email to [email protected] I dont get a chance to come on here so often ATM
  5. It's just because Han is quite tall too dude. The clam shells are able to stay away from all his major joints. If you're boardline, the top of the thigh piece will dig into your belly/groin etc when you sit down. So it might have been made of thinner stuff, but his body shape is perfect for it
  6. Yes gluing a little 'pad' of ABS inside the hollow ridge would help yes. BUT..... What's even better is if you use a black strap of velcro underneath the shoulder strap (over your shoulder) to hold the chest and back plate together and just leave the back floating. (like the films) Heat it to curve it backward yes but dont glue it on the back. Use a strip to connect both together underneath. Plus this way you can get the chest plate right up under your chin
  7. I wouldn't put it in a bag mate When they stow your luggage (as it'll be too big to take on with you) those monkeys in cabin luggage just THROW everything on top of one another. Your armour will get smashed to pieces dude. Get yourself a suitcase
  8. I thought their stuff was spun moulded vinyl? Why dont you just use ABS to be safe. Not many of us have experience with vinyl so may not be able to help. ABS on the other hand....
  9. A blow dryer would work yes dude, but you'd need to keep it squeezed as it cools. So it keeps the new shape Also use an elastic band poppered inside to squeeze the bells pinched
  10. Dude you'll find the more unique you are, the more interesting you'll become to other people. Plain and simple. Those that challenge you are probably too scared to be different and fit in cos it's easy to do. Just follow the trends right? No! Stuff that. Most people want to fit in with the 'norm' as it's easier. It's more difficult and far braver to do your own thing and be unique! As you get older, chicks dig 'odd' blokes. Or at least the girls and friend who do take a shine to you will be more open minded and interesting than most. Most people who follow the norm will be shallow people who won't have much interesting to talk about except things like 'Britany's party antics' or the latest girl/boy pop band. Appropriate behaviour is a great thing, but that's for the moment and how you address people etc in order to get by and fit in. But odd has it's limits. Keep your feet on the ground and you'll be ok. What goes on in your head, what drives you and what passion flows through your veins, is just for you. No one else Don't be a sheep my friend.
  11. I used to race road racing cycles in the UK and europe (still do but I'm not paid to anymore) and bore you with loads of facts and figures, but I won't Keeping it simple................. Eat before you go food shopping dude That way no crap enters your house as you weren't hungry when you were shopping If it's not there you can't eat it Exrecise is the key however. As it triggers your body to start eating into it's glycogen stores (sugar stored in muscle and ur liver) when they'e full your body just stores extra calories you eat as fat But yeah, try not to eat rubbish and exercise. Take stairs instead of lifts. Little things like that
  12. Just leave one end of your TD slightly lose. Get it so the end cap is hard to take off but will come off I put all sorts in mine and pad it with foam to stop it rattling Oops sorry, forgot to say......secure a chord on the inside of the TD end cap...if it falls off it just hangs there. Mine's never fallen off though as I use PTF tape to get a snug fit then used superglue to secure it
  13. I got loads of this stuff dude. but it comes in strip form. Not pre cut
  14. Dude try it with a spoon, not a wooden handle I used to use a ladies Obsession perfume bottle top. Perfect fit
  15. Yeah the (I nearly said 50p shaped part should be the outer one then) hexagonal half should be the outer half If you have done them incorrectly, you can trim the bottom and then use a model areoplance sealing iron to return the inward lip back onto the cut piece This will lower your calf piece away from your calf Or, raise you thigh piece somehow? I can't visualise AP ATM but you maybe able to trim the top of the back of your calf anyway
  16. You just leave the 4th and 5th tooth in. I covered my 4th tooth with the frown paint. It ends in the middle of the 4th tooth. This helps to break it up so you don't notice the blank teeth so much.
  17. If anyone else messes theirs up, I have loads of these moulded ready to go as a replacement set. Whatever you, don't allow the strap to be a connecting 'stressed' piece. Use a band of black elastic underneath the strap to hold the 2 (back and chest) together
  18. I have loads of kiddie ones but adult has to be this A woman and husband pose for a picture and we ask if she wants a nice photo or a nasty photo. She says nasty I tell her to get down on her knees (standard pose, hands above your head) She gets down on all fours. (obviously used to it )
  19. please check out my tutorial here ------ tips on how to limit feedback. It';s usually those horrid hollow mics that are the cause dude I also sell little half egg shaped vac formed caps to conceal the speaker. an improvement on my aerosol cap idea
  20. Ah sorry lads. I can't come on here as often as I used to. New boss My email is [email protected] if you ever want some. I'll be making another mould this weekend so I can make more in one go
  21. No not really but it's always wise to cover them up while in transit. I use an air rifle bag
  22. that'll be me I've helped loads on here. Luis is one of them
  23. Hey lads, I've not been on here for a while, I come on from time to time but can't forum hop in my new job Just thought I'd share with you a project I've been working on for my EU snowtrooper rifle. A DLT 20A In this rifle build I use foam and car body filler for the stock and a few masking techniques to get a nice weather peeling finish. If people like it and want more flicks let me know Hope you like it John
  24. Wow Luis That tutorial is really helpful. I'm so sorry the first pair of ears didn't get there and glad you got the second pair ok. My life was little hectic back then (decorators in etc) but if anyone else needs a set I'm back on track now and can sort these out fairly quickly. :0 John
