Just to add another UK option for commission builds.... https://www.facebook.com/TrooperStuff/ These guys use RWA parts to create commission builds, and RWA make all of their armour parts in both standard size and XL (if you're tall or chunky, or both). RWA is very popular in the UK Garrison because of its good quality, and Ross gives excellent customer service. Whichever supplier you go with, however much research you do here (or elsewhere), always have a conversation with the supplier letting them know your dimensions. Most of the independent suppliers will be more than happy to have that conversation.

Brilliant. Thanks so much Glen

Allow me to reintroduce myself...
CallMeMrTibbles replied to Waya Chetan's topic in New Member Introductions
All sounds perfectly reasonable -
It was this page I was trying to link to. Is this acceptable to all levels?
-
Glen, Would this guys method be OK for all levels (depending on how well I did it of course)

I'm certainly up for having a go if you have the templates and I can get the material. Thanks Glen

So, turns out the UK company that said they could make faux leather ammo pouches, can't (sounds like they tried, but it just didn't work out). I've contacted Geeky Pinks for a quote as they've also said they could make them, but there's then the additional cost of international postage. I can get canvas pouches for £40 each, and was thinking of painting them in matte PlastDip, then weathering to give a leather appearance. Anyone tried anything like that before, as no idea if it'll actually work(?)

Rough placement of parts to get an idea if sizes and boxes will work. (Still need to source the bottom right funnel assembly, aerial tube still not cut to length). The oil pan is 14.5 inches wide, and is the widest pan of this type I could find in UK. Pretty sure not as wide as the usual wedco pan :/ The 3 sandwich boxes aren't trimmed yet, so will have a smaller footprint. Blue box has correct(ish) measurements, but looks too big relatively, so may replace. Think the other 2 will be OK. Top centre cylinder will be shortened by about 1.25 inches. The large radio box is too big. Will either resize or source another. Considering flattening off the bottom of the oil pan too. I'm comparing to these three pics (believe one is Joseph, not sure the other two), as well as the game screen grabs.

That's cool. Same width all the way. I have a plan [emoji106]

Oil drain pan turned up today. Does it need to be the same thickness along its full length, or can I leave it shallower at the top than at the bottom? Just weighing up a few alternative ways to approach it.

When you get your kit approved you'll have access to the 501st forum as well, and they have another for sale section. You get everything from complete outfits to a box of parts in all for sale sections, but even a complete kit will likely need some adjustment to fit. Def worth a look. Can't offer suggestions otherwise (I'm only familiar with one manufacturer at the mo), but good luck with your search [emoji106]

Cadet #2025 (Stephanie) Build thread!
CallMeMrTibbles replied to Echo3_Skywalker's topic in ANH Build Threads
Hey Stephanie, You're making excellent progress! Keep at it, you're going to be a pride to your garrison -
First off, bookmark this page and keep checking back https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/11-for-saletrade-personal-items-only/ You may grab yourself a bargain. Also, create a post saying what you're looking for (you never know). Are you already a member of your local garrison? (If not, get signed up). Check their for sale boards and also post what you're looking for. This will help you and a fellow costumer. Are you looking to build yourself, or buy a commissioned outfit? Do you need to factor in the cost of tools (like a dremel rotary tool)?

Trying to find an alternative oil pan that I can source in the UK (rather than importing from Japan or the US!!!!), and this is the best I can find. https://probike.co.uk/general-equipment/air-oil-fuel/oil-distribution/12-litre-waste-oil-drainer length 500 mm, width 365 mm, depth 130 mm (guessing at the thickest part, which would be shallowed down anyway) Still not as big as the Wedco that is the go to part. I'll have more work flattening off the odd shape so that it fits my back, but that's no great hardship. Ordered and should be here in a couple of days, and will mock up to get an idea for size.

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
CallMeMrTibbles replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Says they will be fulfilling many of the existing orders placed with Anovos. But yes, agree with previous post that it smells fishy -
Hi Rick, I'm 6'4" and build my tk using RWA kit (so Ross gets another thumbs up from me). You can click the Centurion and Expert Infantry links in my signature to see how it turned out. Yes, I have a 'little' more black showing, but not too much. I have more behind my knees because of mobility cuts, but you may not need them. RWA have standard and XL parts, but message Ross and discuss your measurement first if you go with RWA. I ordered all parts in XL, and found that many parts I could have just used standard (and did end up replacing the back and butt sections with standard parts). Whoever you go with, message them first to be sure. Good luck mate, and we're all here if you need more help. Rich

Thanks mate. Just thinking ahead to anh stunt and hero

Starting to order more parts for this build (pauldron and ammo pouches in faux leather from Burkbench Designs in the UK, same place I got my esb holster). CRL says: Canvas belt may not have visible holes from holster removal. ...but wouldn't any holes be covered by the ammo pouches anyway, so does that count as 'not visible?

Hi Jarocho, and welcome to FISD. Looking forward to seeing your build progress and the pics from your first troop [emoji106]
