  1. Looking good Mitch. You'll be well on your way towards the higher levels once you've cleared at basic
  2. Congratulations, and can't wait to see the pics from your first troop
  3. Hey Alex, Welcome to the detachment Ask lots of questions and post lots of pics. Looking forward to hearing all about this new project
  4. Not painted yet, but hopefully more in proportion
  5. Looking really good. Good luck with your submission! (I have a good feeling about this)
  6. [6] Minster Lovell Beer Festival and family fun day - Oxfordshire, UK 29th August 2021 An afternoon of beer, cider and wine tasting, with great live music, and a great crowd. The event went on until 11pm, but as expected with that much alcohol we finished trooping just after 4pm, as the crew realised it was getting a bit 'lively'.
  7. Strange Games Festival, Sussex, UK 28th August 2021 Not adding to my count as I was crewing, but wanted to add here as it was a fab, albeit quiet event. Set on a scout campsite, it was a festival for gaming. Not computers or consoles, but board games and role playing. Groups (of 2 to 20, some friends, some strangers) scattered around the site playing everything from Risk to Call of Cthulu, all day (and most of the night), with an archery range thrown in for good measure.

  9. Good luck with your submission! Can't wait to see the pics from your first troop!!
  10. Thanks for all of this Joseph. As always it's very much appreciated Good to hear that my oil pan will be OK. Makes it that bit closer to completion. Funny how after all this time new things (like the radio box screws) still appear! Very cool about those screw covers. Great tip, thanks. And I'll redo the radio faceplate. I'd like to keep it as one piece of plastic rather than extending it. Just an evenings work, no bother P.s. isn't that link to Colin's Centurion certificate?
  11. Thanks Glen. I'll carry on as is then and hopefully all OK. Because of how I'm building it I could always modify later if required.
  12. New boxes for the back pack have started arriving, and I've started building them up. I have questions... Radio Box I've made up the face plate as per the measurements here... The box it's sitting on is 7.5" by 11", but it looks out of proportion. Do I need to remake the faceplate with a larger screen? And is the grey material on the screen going to be OK when it's all sprayed black; looks like it's what Joseph did???) Also on radio box, looks to me in the screen grabs that the bottom left section has screws in each corner, as though a blanking plate has been put over it. Oil Drain Pan A thread by Joseph states the oil pan should be between 3.5" and 6". Mine is 3", and it's the best I could find. Do I need to modify to make it deeper? I'm a big guy, so aware of proportions, and only way I can think to make it deeper is to cut two drain pans and glue them together to make a 6" deep base. But, from screen grabs drain pan and radio should be around the same depth, so.... [emoji2369]
  13. Translated 'If Rich can do it anyone can!' Just kidding, although, actually true! The Centurion rocker patch will look great on you
  14. Brilliant. Actual proper goosebumps for you. Awesome work Colin. Couldn't be more happy for you [emoji106]
  15. Now you're really making me want a 3d printer. Just what my HWT needs!
  16. Congratulations Ardeshir!!! Another outstanding addition to an amazing collection of armour [emoji106]
  17. [emoji1] thanks Joseph. Ok, I'll see what I can do [emoji106]
  18. Thanks Joseph. I've contacted the pauldron guy and he's going to use all dark hardware, and I've just received some leather look vinyl to have a go at making the simpler pouches myself (wish me luck!!!)
  19. Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh mate
