  1. So it does. This guy only supplies assembled and painted, but comes very highly recommended.
  2. Thanks (again) Joseph. I'll double check the dimensions against my dimensions as I remember (I think) the pack should be just larger than my waist
  3. That's great Joseph! Thank you [emoji106]
  4. I already think I know the answer to this question (I suspect its no), but gonna ask to make sure... Is the R1 version of the SE-14R passable for HWT? I'm looking good at the RDR SE, and the obvious difference is the scope position. ----------------
  5. Looking great. Good luck with your clearance [emoji106]
  6. Hey Brandon, Welcome to FISD! Best advice I can think of... - Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. even ones you think are silly (maybe especially ones you think are silly!). - post lots of pictures, they speak a thousand words. - have a good look around the forum and do lots of research (have a good look at the advanced tactics section too; it's never too early to be aware of that) - measure twice (or more) before cutting, and take your time. Rushing can easily lead to mistakes. We'll all be looking forward to seeing your build progress and the pics from your first troop. Rich
  7. Hey Ryan, Welcome to FISD. As others have said, you'll get all the help you need here. Don't be afraid to ask, and there's no such thing as a silly question. When asking for help a picture paints a thousand words, so post pics whenever you're able. I find tapatalk really useful for image sharing, and others using sites like imgur. If you get stuck just ask. Don't worry about not having prior experience working with plastics. I didn't before starting on this, and with all the help you'll get you'll be fine. Just remember to take things slow, and double and triple check measurements before cutting; it's better to cut too little than cut too much. And if you're not sure, just ask (there's a pattern here [emoji1]). Have a good look around the forum before getting started. Its a really good idea to look around the advanced tactics section right from the start too; can make things much easier for you if you decide to go for that later on. I'm looking forward to seeing your build progress and the pics from your first troop! Rich
  8. Legion webmaster just put a new post up about possible disruption on 13th September, in case any CRL changes/uploads are planned around that time. https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&p=1384437#top
  9. Gonna replace bottom right box with this (as it should be closer to ideal size, and I'd prefer it to be obvious I've not used the same box twice). https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0000AN4CI/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6F6BPFAZ9CDBE99JSNK4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Ordered these for the 4 black rubber buttons on top left box https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DPMKQWC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_SH8A1113Y220QQEQ1AHA
  10. Parts found or bought today (Tube not shown as still 2.5m long!) Couldn't find exact sizes as per Joseph's diagram. Could someone let me know if these boxes will work for size and shape. I'm aiming for level 3 BTW. (All boxes measured across the flat face, which is smaller than where it'll mount to the oil pan) Top left: 4.25" x 6" (random box found in cupboard) Top centre canister: 3.25" x 9.5" (Wilko, was filled with bungie cords) Top right: 4.5" x 7.5" (Wilko) Bottom right: 4.5" x 7.5" (Wilko) Bottom left: 8.5" x 11" (Wilko) The popit! boxes aren't available in the UK (that I can find), and I suspect the photo boxes may be a different standard size as we use A4 size rather than letter(?)
  11. Black tube bought https://www.wickes.co.uk/FloPlast-68mm-Round-Line-Downpipe-2-5m---Black/p/175632
  12. End caps for the 2.5" tube ordered https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pipe-Tube-Plugs-End-Cover-Caps-Silicone-Rubber-Round-Blanking-32-5mm-78-5mm-/402764475171?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  13. Thanks mate. 'If' being the significant word there!!
  14. Not having much joy with UK suppliers, but managed to find this as an import from Japan ----------- Doesn't list dimensions, but certainly looks like the correct part
  15. Thanks Joseph. I'll keep looking [emoji106]
  16. Looking to make a start on the back pack. Found this: https://www.24mx.co.uk/motocross-accessories/oils--lubricants_c71/other_c121/proworks-oil-waste-can-8l_pid-PIA-178617?gclsrc=ds,ds Do those in the know think this would be OK?
  17. Going to use my already cleared ESB TK as the basis for this. That's cleared to level 3 already, so hopefully the common parts will be good to go. Link to UKG basic thread (for those that view it): https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=77264 Link to EIB thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/51095-tk-46116-requesting-esb-eib-status-rwa-1025/ Link to Centurion thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/51123-tk-46116-requesting-esb-centurian-status-rwa-502/ What I believe I need to swap out or add are: - replace lid with anh stunt - replace gloves with rubber with glued on anh latex handguards - replace belt (no holster poppers and no drop boxes) - add appropriate weapon (probably going for RDR dlt-19) - add 3 x ammo pouches (either side of belt and one at shoulder) - add orange pauldron - add the back pack - maybe don't fit td, depending on how pack fits 'May' not go for light weathering until after basic clearance and going for level 2 (not sure yet). Was given a tip of using mascara and a makeup brush (thanks Justin), so it's easy to swap back to shiny white. Already spoken to Burkbench for making up faux leather ammo pouches. Said they've not done them before, but shouldn't be an issue. Will get the faux leather pauldron from them too. Will be going to RDR for the dlt-19. Waiting to hear that he's finished updating his mold and selling again. Considering adding BlastFX later (just because and for giggles). Pack will be interesting. Following threads about it, but not sure about sourcing parts in the UK and I don't have a 3d printer. Help on sourcing/making bits greatly appreciated. Will be placing the first order for some of the above bits around payday at the end of the August. Ta, Rich
  18. Looking to make a start on the back pack. Found this on UK amazon, and is the best fit I could find on there. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007TNDPUI/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_TENRFQQ82Z565790Z94W?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Do those in the know think this would be OK?
  19. Hey Austin, When you wrote about geeking out at the armour, I was totally with you. When you then wrote about having been a cancer patient, and wanting to salute what the 501st do it took on a whole new level of respect. I'm looking forward to seeing you get started with your build, helping if I can, and seeing the pics of your first troop. Rich
  20. Hi Mike, You may find that if you mix armour from different suppliers that you end up with armour pieces that are different shades of white. Just putting that out there so you can anticipate that. As for places that can supply armour to fit your frame, I can personally recommend contacting Ross Walmsley of RWA. He's UK based (but does ship worldwide) and produces standard and XL sized armour pieces. I'd recommend contacting Ross by messenger if possible, to discuss what you need. Here's the link to the Facebook group for RWA: https://www.facebook.com/groups/rwacreations/?ref=share And here's a couple of youtube links about the larger torso sections: This might also be a good thread to look at with more suggestions: Hope this helps Rich
  21. Cool. Just wanted to be absolutely sure before going in either direction. End of the day, lvl 2 and 3 are about being increasingly accurate, so totally get that these kind of decals should not be present. All good. Thanks Glen [emoji106]
  22. I'm actually more confused now. The UKG brand isn't the trooper number, but is 'UKG' in aurebesh, and both of those links refer to it being a standardised and uniform brand for everyone within UKG (which it is; we aren't allowed to troop without it, even at LFL events). Locitus says in both threads that UKG is a special case (wish everyone had the same rules, but also see that Locitus references UKG do it to differentiate from other costuming groups). I'm reading those threads to say that the UKG brand is OK for lvl 2 and 3. I suppose the main thing here (for UKG members anyway) is, in order to troop we must have the UKG sticker on the shoulder bell. For armour that shares the shoulder bell (e.g. ANH/ESB/HWT TK) we can remove the decal for subsequent lvl 2 and 3 clearance of other armour, but the decal then has to be immediately reapplied at the next troop, so becomes wasteful. I appreciate both sides of the argument.
  23. Is it true that I need to remove the UKG 'brand' from my shoulder bell if using previously cleared base armour as the basis for a new build that I intend to take to levels 2 and 3?
