  1. First off, bookmark this page and keep checking back https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/11-for-saletrade-personal-items-only/ You may grab yourself a bargain. Also, create a post saying what you're looking for (you never know). Are you already a member of your local garrison? (If not, get signed up). Check their for sale boards and also post what you're looking for. This will help you and a fellow costumer. Are you looking to build yourself, or buy a commissioned outfit? Do you need to factor in the cost of tools (like a dremel rotary tool)?
  2. Trying to find an alternative oil pan that I can source in the UK (rather than importing from Japan or the US!!!!), and this is the best I can find. https://probike.co.uk/general-equipment/air-oil-fuel/oil-distribution/12-litre-waste-oil-drainer length 500 mm, width 365 mm, depth 130 mm (guessing at the thickest part, which would be shallowed down anyway) Still not as big as the Wedco that is the go to part. I'll have more work flattening off the odd shape so that it fits my back, but that's no great hardship. Ordered and should be here in a couple of days, and will mock up to get an idea for size.
  3. Says they will be fulfilling many of the existing orders placed with Anovos. But yes, agree with previous post that it smells fishy
  4. Hi Rick, I'm 6'4" and build my tk using RWA kit (so Ross gets another thumbs up from me). You can click the Centurion and Expert Infantry links in my signature to see how it turned out. Yes, I have a 'little' more black showing, but not too much. I have more behind my knees because of mobility cuts, but you may not need them. RWA have standard and XL parts, but message Ross and discuss your measurement first if you go with RWA. I ordered all parts in XL, and found that many parts I could have just used standard (and did end up replacing the back and butt sections with standard parts). Whoever you go with, message them first to be sure. Good luck mate, and we're all here if you need more help. Rich
  5. Thanks mate. Just thinking ahead to anh stunt and hero
  6. Starting to order more parts for this build (pauldron and ammo pouches in faux leather from Burkbench Designs in the UK, same place I got my esb holster). CRL says: Canvas belt may not have visible holes from holster removal. ...but wouldn't any holes be covered by the ammo pouches anyway, so does that count as 'not visible?
  7. Hi Jarocho, and welcome to FISD. Looking forward to seeing your build progress and the pics from your first troop [emoji106]
  8. Agree 100% If I was building again I'd probably sacrifice some mobility for this, but on the other hand, stairs aren't so bad now [emoji1]
  9. I would like to add a small personal bullet point that I (at 6'4") did find that adding mobility cuts made my leg parts much more comfortable, so don't automatically assume you don't need / can't have if you're taller. However, it does add more black space at the back of the knee though, which doesn't look as good. Absolutely agree to finish the build first then add only if necessary.
  10. Having the notch (or mobility cut) is fine all the way up to level 3, Centurion. What you need to watch when having a mobility cut is that you don't go beyond the raised area of molding on the shin or thigh (yours is fine). It would benefit from being straighter / more even, and filling the gap below the coverstrip (either a scrap of ABS glued from behind, or filled with abs paste, to stop your black undersuit from showing through). Otherwise, no problem. I'm more concerned about what appears to be a crack in the coverstrip at the top!?
  11. Just to add, normally I'd suggest altering the length of the straps. I only suggest moving the poppers because it doesn't look like there's enough length in the strap to shorten it.
  12. I think lifting the popper tab(s) higher up is a good idea. It's a relatively easy change, and can be adjusted again in the future in needed. Just take your time, be careful not to damage your chest plate, and remember to not get glue on the metal parts
  13. [4] Essex Family Fest - Hornchurch 15th August 2021 Full day of meeting and entertaining folks at the busy and well run event. Very lucky with the weather, and a great crowd. These guys also had a real sterling and a real mg34
  14. [3] Twilight Walk - Leicester 14th August 2021 Meet and interact with those taking part in a charity walk raising money for LOROS hospice. Had a great evening.
  15. Your comments at the beginning of this thread are very kind Luca. Thank you. I don't have the same level of experience as Joseph, Glen or Tino, but I can see how close you are to a really high level build, and you should be extremely proud of yourself. The purpose of the v tabs is usually more to stop the butt plate from popping out and overlapping the kidney, but it 'can' also pull the sides in to help with the issue Joseph identified. To be honest, I think I'd fit v tabs to every armour I built from now on, as it just helps to keep everything in the correct place, so my advice would be to add them and see what effect they have. The alignment of your ab could be that the strapping from chest to ab needs tweaking a little. You could try to shorten the chest to ab strap a little on your left hand side to bring the left hand side of you ab plate up. It looks like the popper tabs in your chest plate are pretty close to the bottom return edge (can you remove the ab to chest straps so we can see where the popper tabs are?), and this could make the strapping difficult to tweak. You may benefit from adding popper tabs a bit higher up meaning you can tweak the fit using longer or shorter straps.
  16. Congratulations Colin! Awesome work here mate. So happy you get that EIB award next to your name, and confident you'll be getting the Centurion award too
  17. Hi Kris, Welcome to FISD. That's really nice looking armour, and congratulations on your new born! Looking forward to hearing about your clearance and seeing those pics of your first troop. Rich
  18. Hey Eric, Welcome to FISD and the 501st. Don't worry, although it can be overwhelming for everyone at first the guys here and in your local garrison will help you at every step in getting your costume together and ready for trooping. There's no such thing as a silly question, so ask away, post lots of pics, and have a good look around the forum as a starting point to your research. Looking forward to seeing your build and the pics when you start trooping. Rich
