  1. Welcome to the Detachment! Persistence in both your ambition to become a member of the 501st as well as throughout your build process has definitely paid off. Looking good Trooper!
  2. Sure! I believe it is just the angle of the photo, but I have replaced my original tips with Ukswrath's mic tips, so I'll take a photo of those this afternoon and post.
  3. That is one of the characteristics of the original helmets used in the filming of ANH from my understanding. I would leave the helmet as is, showing all of its uniqueness.
  4. Well, my plans to closely document my son's build did not go as planned. After school started back I found myself trying to squeeze in a few minutes here and a few there to get his kit done. He was also back to FSU, so we were only able to work on fitment when he was home on the occasional weekend. That being said, I did manage to get him finished up in time to submit before our Halloween troop. We're still have a few adjustments to make, but he was looking sharp this weekend. We hope to have his TK ID this week.
  5. Troop #4: 10/31/2020 - Okaloosa Island Tricks and Treasures on the Boardwalk We have him surrounded! DJ wanted in on the action! Chillin with Mando!
  6. Troop #3: 10/24/2020 - Fort Rucker Haunted Halloween Trail ( Night 2 ) Getting ready to go out and have some fun! A group shot with some of our kids at staging. On the beat! Me and two of my girls having some Star Wars Halloween photo fun.
  7. Troop #2: 10/23/2020 - Fort Rucker Haunted Halloween Trail ( Night 1 )
  8. Submitted my fixes and hoping to hear something soon!
  9. This thread is a lifesaver for me! I just received my son's kit from IA and I have no experience finishing 3D prints. My sincerest gratitude for sharing your progress and tips!
  10. I finally had an opportunity to take some photos. I replaced the images in question with updated images showing the corrections to the rear shoulder gap and the left side of the belt. I removed the ABS from inside the belt and ironed it out the best I could. #fingerscrossed
  11. I am awaiting an E-11 kit from Imperial Arms for my son's TK. Your build thread will definitely come in handy! I'm excited to follow your progress!
  12. Welcome, David! You've come to the right place.
  13. Congratulations to Mario on the promotion! He was instrumental with suggestions throughout my build that aided me in achieving EIB right out of the gate! He's such a great asset to this community!
  14. It's been a very busy couple of weeks for me, so I haven't had an opportunity to work on the belt and suit up again. I'm hoping to be able to do that within the next few days.
  15. That is the USB adapter that allows you to plug your fan bracket into a USB power supply rather than the battery box.
  16. Thanks Sha Sha. I have a piece of ABS plastic in that area on the belt for reinforcement for the holster. It looked great until I ran the iron over it. I may be able to remove it and iron it back out. I’ll also see what I can do with the shoulder bells. I was more concerned with the front gaps than the back, based off the CRL photo.
  17. Congratulations on receiving your helmet and good luck on your build. You may find Eric Dyke's video series on assembling the AM 4.5 helmet helpful. I know I did.
  18. Looking good! Your attention to detail is remarkable. I can tell you are as OCD as I am, although I feel as much as I try, I am never pleased with my attempts at perfection. That’s my character flaw.
  19. Big Brown Box...or Christmas morning, they are interchangeable.
  20. Welcome, Michael! Vive les Empire!!!!
  21. 1. 09/27/2020 - Impromptu birthday party for a friend of the Parjai Squad. 2. 10/23/2020 - Fort Rucker Haunted Halloween Trail ( Night 1 ) 3. 10/24/2020 - Fort Rucker Haunted Halloween Trail ( Night 2 ) 4. 10/31/2020 - Okaloosa Island Tricks and Treasures on the Boardwalk Troop #1: 9/27/2029 - Impromptu birthday party for a friend of the Parjai Squad. It was good to finally get to wear this suit outside of my home and the small event was a great way to get my feet wet a little and meet some of the squad for the first time.
