  1. Hi Tim. ANH and ESB blasters are different in that ESBs are typically missing some features of an ANH, notably the power cylinders stop the magazine, as well as the hengstler counter. While an ANH blaster may not be approvable for ESB (depending on your GML), the good news is that a blaster in general isn’t even required for basic approval. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Aright so here is my advice on order of assembly. 1. Inventory and match paired armor piece halves. 2. Trim the excess flashing (waste plastic) on all pieces. Don’t worry about return edge thickness yet; just remove the excess beyond the return edges. 3. Begin trimming pieces for fitment, starting with Biceps (largely hidden so trimming errors can be masked). Also when first trimming start on the rear-facing ends of the pieces so any mistakes are on your back. 4. Forearms (nice small pieces) 5. Shins (left shin first since knee plate can help mask possible seam/joining issues). Be sure to size for fitment only after you have your boots to ensure proper sizing. 6. Thighs (right thigh first since ammo back can help mask possible seam/joining issues) 7. Posterior, kidney, and ab 8. Back, chest, and shoulder bells 9. Helmet (largely considered the most difficult, and also prominent, piece)
  3. I love the sight of AM thermal detonators in the morning. Seriously though, you’re gonna be very happy with Dave’s kit! And you’ll have a properly sized 68mm thermal det! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hello again, Tyler! I know you've been neck deep in research since February, and I suspect you're practically a pro now! I remember the feeling when my tracking number indicated that there was a stormtrooper at my door. lol. We look forward to this next part of your journey!
  5. Welcome, Kian! Glad to have you. Are you taking your interest to the next level and building a TK?
  6. Hi Jay - It's good to see you back here, and I hope your grandson is doing well. If I recall correctly, weren't a few members of your two local 501st units able to visit him in the hospital some months back? I believe at that time I had sent you some direct contact information to those local Garrisons. There are some armor makers in the community to do provide commission builds, so you'd purchase from them and then provide them with details body measurements so that they can size the armor appropriately. Of course, there would be some final assembly needed, which you'd likely want to enlist the help of your local stormtroopers for. Let us here know if there's anything else we can do for you.
  7. Lorelei is back!!! Awesome! And of course you'll likely not even know me since I'm basically new here since you last graced us with your presence, and by now you're wondering who this weird new guy is, so let me explain. Back in basically 2020 when I started my build I compiled a list of resources, and as an ATA builder myself I included your build thread in my compilation (which is now published as this All-In-One resource). I also had a super fun time with my ATA helmet ears like you (read about it HERE if you like), and recall the awesome feedback that Frank and your Carida cohort had on your long build thread. Anyway, great to have you back, and very cool that you got to experience Starcruiser. Now get out there in the FL heat and make Lord Vader proud!
  8. Both Hobby Lobby and Michael’s will definitely have snaps. Just be aware that some snaps are superior to others, which is why many of us use Tandy. I’d you’re able to implement a double snap system it’ll give you added security in case one pops off mid-troop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Glen’s suggestions are spot on, as usual! If the three square belt cover pieces can’t be removed, then creating snap plates and gluing them to the underside right atop to the cut-off rivets should work adequately. Personally, I used Chicago screws to affix my plastic belt to the canvas belt. I wanted to maintain removability, but liked the added security of knowing a snap wouldn’t just pop out. I also used Chicago screws for my holster-to-belt attachment—special ones that came with my holster from Darman.
  11. Glad to see it can be worn with thermal dets! ;-)
  12. A little late to this party, but congrats Alex! You're looking swell! It'll be great to have you on the Attaché team!
  13. Awesome work, Cam! I love seeing these updates!
  14. Very crisp, good sir! Love seeing progress on this mod build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Four inches is quite a bit, but only a full suit-up will truly tell. Jonatan is on point that leg-piece adjustments may be the key. We’d love to see photos when you get a chance to suit up! Very cool that you have a Fett. Totally understand not wanted to take it out in bad weather.
  16. Greetings Santana! It’s fantastic to hear that we have another trooper in the making with you and awesome that you got to meet some Legion members at SDCC! Have you decided yet on which particular stormtrooper variant you may go with? You’ll also then need to decide on a particular armor vendor to buy from, and the link that Glen posted includes this specific thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
  17. Hi Rebecca! Keep up the good work! And here is a helpful link describing the Imgur image hosting and posting process that Glen referenced: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48799-posting-photos-using-imgur-101/
  18. Hi Sean! As Glen said, definitely reach out to your GML to get their thoughts on your armor, as that person will be the one to approval you for Legion membership. Ultimately, if the answer is no, then you can certainly still wear your kit with pride and put smiles on kids' faces!
  19. Looking forward to seeing you and Kyle get back to your build once time permits! Since you already have two approved kits I'm sure you already have a lot of the skills and tools necessary for a TK, but here's a link that has some TK-specific information that may be help to you! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/
  20. Hi Paolo! I’m super late to the party, but as others have already said, welcome to FISD! You’re absolutely in the right place for all this shiny white armor related, and this is an excellent community that will support you along your journey! I myself took three years to finish my build, due to various life challenges, but all along the way I had Troopers helping and encouraging me. It’s great that you’re going with an ANH stunt. Have you already decided on your armor maker? Apologies if I’ve missed a build thread of yours in which you mention that. In case it can be of help to you, below is a link to a resource thread I initially compiled for my own reference while building. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/49412-all-in-one-tk-anh-stunt-index-of-resources-by-maskedvengeance/
  21. L3 right there!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Congrats Logan! Awesome work! I’m especially jealous of all your thermal detonators! [emoji6] Alright Adam, you’re up next!
  23. @revlimiter
  24. Welcome, Shawn! Awesome to see you here, and I wish you the best on your journey! That thread that Glen posted will serve you well as it did me on my three-year build. But I’m sure you’ll make far better time than I. Haha.
  25. Welcome, Ian! Looks like other troopers have you covered with helpful links, so check them out for sure! Andrew and Glen will especially be able to speak into Aussie resources as they’re located down under as well. Once you receive your armor, start a build thread, post lots of photos and questions, and we’ll be there alongside you to help you on your journey!
