  1. Looking good man. I’m in the same boat. Hard to do anything in that suit. Realized that after I decided to build. Although your gonna love it when you troop it’s a lot of fun. When I started my build I was shooting for centurion, got basic and I’m good for now. Fine tune everything and go back afterwards. Main thing is basic and making kids smile. Wow missed that one but don’t think even if I saw it I’d beat that time. I’d still be putting my shins on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I used a bit of gorilla glue. Not too close to the edges cause it does expand a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If for some reason you have to remove the belt I had the same issues with the buttons. I swapped it out for a good velcro I got at the craft store. 1 troop in with my gun holstered the whole time and it’s worked great. I don’t want to mess up your thread with pics but I’d be happy to PM you a few if you’d like to see. It’s only two squares of velcro on the front and gun side with the other half attached to the belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. No return edges and don’t have pics. It’s 4am here and I’m at work. I will try to get some after work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So I had my first troop on 4/7. It was a 5k event in a neighboring town. I was so nervous I barely slept the night before. Got there early and met some of the Garrison people who were awesome. Original forecast was for snow and rain but all we got was some wind and cold. There were a few other TKs and a TD so I had some good company. After getting geared up, we went out and started walking around and found it amazing to see the magic happen from the other side. Usually I’m the one asking for a pic now it was me getting asked. Had some great interactions with kids and got a few hugs. Even the teens were all about getting pics. As for my armor it held up well. Nothing fell apart but my biceps were falling (fix in progress) and my shins turn (still working on that one). Had to do without the hearing assist after an hour cause the earbud cord kept falling out (still can’t find speakers that work in the helmet without feedback). About the same time the mic got lost so I took the helmet off and readjusted it only to lose it again (think it was the balaclava position). It’s crazy how a kid can run up to you and you don’t even see them, sight line will take getting use to but luckily I didn’t walk on any kids and the whole walking thing takes some getting used to. Also couldn’t get my gun out of the holster (not a deal breaker) just not used to moving with all that on. And of course I ended up with the groin/arm armor bites but not too bad. For a first troop I think it went very well. Next troop is this weekend, 2 weekends in a row! Hopefully the fixes will correct the issue. And lastly I ordered some scout armor for a second costume. Think I’m addicted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I enjoyed the movies I think it’s a different type of consumer now a days and they need to go in that direction. With that being said nothing and I repeat NOTHING beats the original three. So take some time off grab some popcorn and set them up consecutively! I’ve just got my first troop under my belt and as a TK I didn’t see much but I don’t think I’ve gotten that many kid hugs. They came out of nowhere and I didn’t even see them. Even the tweens wanted pics. I had a whole conversation with a girl cause she was acting mad at me (obviously a rebel sympathizer) and I had her cracking up by the time she walked away. It was amazing and I think looking beyond my passion that is what is just plain awesome. So rant away get it all out, get rejuvenated and get out and make some people smile! 15. Just so you know I bought Trooperbays one piece under-suit and it’s nice. Fits well and gives the appearance of a tight fitting under suit with no overlap around the waist. It even has 2 zippers so if you do need to go you can just zip up. With that being said I’ve yet to wear it other than around my house. I’ve only done 1 troop and it was cold so I used my under armor I have for work to keep me warm. After my first troop I’ve realized armor bites, yea I was warned but it’s real now. I worry about wearing the 1 piece and the armor scratching in areas and wearing down the fabric and then yes you’ve got to pay another $100 for a new suit cause that’s what Trooperbay charges. Soooo I’ve gotten a set of separate top and bottom. I still plan on using the 1 piece cause I have it but if I was able to return it I probably would. Hope my long winded thought process helps. 17. I started my build with a glue other then e6000 and it dried yellowish. Clear E6000 dries clear, holds strong, and can be removed with some light force if needed to readjust. I know this for a fact a few times over. I know other countries have had E6000 issues where it’s been a different make up of glue but in the states it’s easily obtainable at Joanne’s, or craft shops. It’s not expensive and is well worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. To sum it up... Untrimmed Trimmed Those are basic pics I took off the internet but they suit the purpose. The untrimmed as you see has an edge on it some vendors might have a larger edge some smaller. Extra plastic is good to have if you need to make ABS paste or even use some as back strips behind the cover strips and honestly it does help with the getting acclimated part of cutting plastic just a little (not much) extra work. 21. Literally just logged on to find a bra clip how to thread and see how everyone else’s did it. And bam this pops up. Thanks for making my life that much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I agree. I had the same issue. Start trimming the bottoms of the shins a little at a time. It’ll be time consuming but you’ll get the exact fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
