Although I’m 39 can you be my dad? Jk this is awesome I’ve said it before but you keep outdoing yourself. I wish I had a fraction of the ability you have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seansull Requesting Pre Approval Review (AM 2.0)

And congrats. They didn’t take long approving that at all. Seems like the going rate in my Garrison has been 2 week wait. That’s nerve racking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Seansull Requesting Pre Approval Review (AM 2.0)

I had the same issue with the knee. Another thought would be to put foam in the back of the thigh. It will bring the thigh front closer to your body and keep the shin in front. Everyone is different but it worked for me with a little chair padding from Joanne Fabrics in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Willeywonka's ANH Stunt Build (AP Armor)

Looking good and that scrap piece you have on the thigh fits perfect that should come out like it never happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You could easily buy elastic and Velcro and make that yourself. As for the gap, it’s quite big. You could try shimming them and doing some abs paste but I’m not sure it’ll look right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And I will say I was a bit surprised cause I’ve never seen fiberglass armor although to be honest before October of last year I hadn’t seen much at all. It just seemed like t would be heavy, brittle, and hard to work with but your making it look easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s coming along nicely. You’ve got this Fiberglass thing down pat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep. I took all mine off for comfort. Some people keep them for the appearance of thickness like real armor. It’s all up to you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welcome back trooper! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yea that’s very drastic are you ok? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh ok I see it now. When you cover strip it you could probably cut it down a bit to make it not as pronounced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think if you put it in hot water you might be able to get the oval out a bit. As for the scratches. I’m assuming that’s a seam? Your cover strip will cover some of it. Other than that try some novice polish. It might help a little but honestly it looks deep and I have scratches like that on my biceps and it wasn’t a complete fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just did this to mine and it was dry after a few hours. Not sure when exactly it dried but I waited 6 hours before sanding cause I was busy with other things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve got two fans and the aker on my chest with the mic that came with it in my helmet and two fans. If I have the volume up too high it gives feedback. Haven’t trooped yet but my kids say it sounds good when I have it at about half way. I have hearing assist so it sounds like I’m yelling but they say it’s perfect. Thanks. Guess I’ll wait it out until AM has an extra knee belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok gonna try and do this without taking it out and taking a pic. Here is a close ups from pics I had on my phone. Right side of knee Left side of knee So if I flatten it out a bit the sides will push back so the rivets would have to be pushed back as well. EIB and Centurion specify it must be connected in the upper corner. I would be able to make it work on the right side but the left side wouldn’t sit properly and I wouldn’t be able to get the rivet places in the upper corner. So do I leave it, or flatten it out and rivet it flat but not up to the extended CRL, or wait it out until I get a new knee belt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s permanent positioned upwards. I have it rigged that way cause it wasn’t flat against the knee when I did it, it kept falling down which would cause a gap between the thigh and top of the ammo belt. I could take it off and heat it and get it flat but then my rivets wouldn’t line up on the end of the belt like they should cause the ends wouldnt be able to catch the knee armor. So I think that would hold me up from a higher level if I decide to go that route. Everyone else’s just looks flat and neat around the knee. Any of that make sense? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I decided to make some abs paste and fill in the to small issues I had on the thigh and calf piece where the connection above the cover strip wasn’t the best. Yes I got basic, and yes it wasn’t that bad but the thigh bothered me and I figured why not do something until I can convince my wife to let me start a scout trooper (yea she thinks I should have at least one troop in before I build again to make sure I like it... she just doesn’t get it, supportive, but doesn’t get it) I’ve put in before and after pics, the paste was a fun little smelly science experiment and came out nicely (I think it did). Question is what is the best grit paper to sand this with? I’m assuming a fine grit but wasn’t sure if anyone had a preference for a certain one. Also how long does this stuff take to completely dry? I don’t want to sand when it’s soft underneath. Next up is reworking the knee ammo belt. I’m not very happy with it as you can see in the pic I have it permanently positioned up cause it wanted to come down all the time and looked awful. I know it’s cut short and AM doesn’t have a replacement at this point to swap it out. I’ve looked at a few others and the color doesn’t match so I’ve got to leave it or do something with it. Any suggestions? Also been working on restrapping the kidney/cod pieces to try and eliminate the gap in the middle to attempt centurion without shimming Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
