  8. Would you be willing to share that name????? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I was gonna try it for my scout but the pleats scared me. Spent over $100 and ordered one and it’s awful. Too long top to bottom and it’s too small to even fit around me. Debating on trying to make one or order from a better maker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This is awesome. I can’t wait to see this finished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You’d never know unless I said anything, it’s well hidden, and besides isn’t every trooper a variation of the last one, I’m just starting the trend for the FOTK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just throwing another option out there. I used a thin metal under the shoulder bridges. It takes all the weight off the bridges and makes them sturdier. Home improvement stores sell aluminum flashing. That’s what I bought, cut it to size, folded it over for extra security, then wrapped it in some cloth. No extra weight, thin enough to be almost invisible, and yet adds a bit of protection by not allowing the bridges to bend into odd positions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just so you know I left the return edge on the chest and from the similar motion of “crossing” my arms the return edge cracked which lead to a crack on the front. Small enough to fix, but a pain none the less. So if you keep the chest return I’d support it from the inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Interesting. I always like seeing people’s ideas and the reasoning to see if it’ll help me at all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is the padding around the mouth there for any specific reason or just to make the mic closer to your face? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I second Justjoseph63. I used the chair foam from JoAnne Fabrics. As a precaution I wrapped it in packing tape to help keep it from soaking up sweat. Not sure if it helps but it made sense in my head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Great job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I agree totally. Just realized if you flip through them backwards it’s kinda like watching a stormtrooper peep show, if there was a such thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I like the slow motion dressing pics. It’s a nice touch [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I think you’ll be fine if you go with the quality snaps, get them all ready and when you put them on you could always glue them to a piece of scrap plastic then glue that to the armor. My thinking was it’ll mess up the scrap piece and not the armor. It’s a bit more time consuming cause you glue the snap to the scrap, let it dry, then glue that to the armor, and let it dry. Oh and it’s never too early to decorate a tote! That armor has to go somewhere when each piece gets completed. Nice job on the neck seal as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Definitely need mobility, my one is a bit small and if I walk a certain way my calf pushes open the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Honestly I usually look it up before writing it but I was just too tired and didn’t want to loose my train of thought on the whole thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I use a wireless mic with the icomm and use a wireless Bluetooth adapter by MPOW I got off eBay for my hearing assist. That plugs into my hearing assist which send a signal to some small Bluetooth ear pieces (from eBay) which tend to “kinda” stay put under my Balaclava (think I spelled that right, not sure, it autocorrected it). I’m not sure what the wireless mic is but I tuck the mic in under the Balaclava (again autocorrected but we all know what I mean) it sometimes stays but I have issues when I put the helmet on, it sometimes moves, which I had the same issues with the wired headset so it must be my head. I found there is a small lag in the talking part but if your mic is close enough you don’t have to talk loud there for nobody hears your actual voice. As for the hearing assist, I’ve tried motorcycle speakers and had nothing but feedback, the in ear wires headphone and the wires kept falling out. Then moved to the Bluetooth and it helped.
