Katye's First Build Ever ANH Stunt WIP

This is from the CRL Maybe a tad down but I don’t screen centurion applications so I’m sure they’ll chime in soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Wired or wireless for this set up?
Frank75139 replied to TkDrew's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I’m fairly new but I did wired the first time and had issues when putting the helmet on it would hit the head piece of the mic causing it to move out of position, plus I forgot to put it on prior to dressing so I had to kinda work it down to where it needed to go. Then got a wireless and would put that into my balaclava. Still working on placement cause I’m having issues with the mic and feedback. Lately it seems to be happening on the later half of the troops and I’m wondering if it’s cause the mic gets wet being so close to my lips. I’ve found a spot where I can velcro it into the helmet without it getting in the way when I put the helmet on and it’s still close enough to pick up my voice. I guess what I’m saying is you’ve got both give them both a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Lorelei's 5'4" ATA ANH-S Centurion-Hopeful Build
Frank75139 replied to TheLorelei's topic in ANH Build Threads
Slow down and take your time. I’ll tell you right now our garrison takes at least two weeks to review prior to approval. Even if you submitted today you would have to beg and plead to get it pushed and that’s if you don’t get dinged for anything. Sorry to be a pipe dream destroyer lol. If you want to make a goal I think you can have this done in time to troop in January of 2019. I got sent back twice to retake pics, that’s a month of waiting and pic taking between it all. Your making good progress and it’s looking good now that your back from your trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

If they make fun of you or look down on you they aren’t worth worrying about. Good luck with the build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

AM armor should fit. I know at 265 it’s big enough and from making mine I’d say the height would work to. You can reach out to them at [email protected] to make sure but I’m fairly sure it’ll work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NoZoupForYou’s Stunt TK Build (Anovos)
Frank75139 replied to NoZoupForYou's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Gotta love the wives helping out. I think my wife was done with gearing me up by the time o got approved. I have my bells permanently attached and then attach the biceps. That might be changing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Looks good. Biceps look a bit low when your wearing it, is that cause the issue with putting it on? They look perfect in the shot of them alone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Looks like you got enough info so I’ll just say welcome aboard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If your looking to just dump it I’d throw it up for sale here, or locally or even eBay. Someone might want it to mess around with and even if you make a few bucks it’s better then nothing. Just make sure you say it’s heavily used and not going to pass 501st standards so people know and you won’t have to worry about that. Heck someone could make a Halloween costume or even a prop with it. Imagine that by your front door greeting trick or treaters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How much $ Should I have for this?
Frank75139 replied to jonbelcher10's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Perfectly normal question. Personally if it was me and I wanted to get involved I’d join my garrison and help out. Through that you’ll make friends and learn some tricks while saving your money. I don’t think anyone should put themselves in financial danger for this hobby. Although I love doing it, I waited until I had the money to build armor. I’m set in my job and could afford the cost. Had I know about helping out on troops as a non costume person I would have joined earlier. And if it’s not being in a costume that bothers you, you’d probably be able to pick up a cheap Officer outfit used somewhere. If you want to troop with a covered face I’d say go the Jawa route to start. I got one custom made to CRL standards for my daughter for $350 plus the cost of a cheap pair of boots. You could do that and eventually sell it when you have the money for a TK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I think it all depends on how it looks. If you don’t mind the cuts in the back then do that, it’s easiest. I took some off my top out of necessity and it helped a bit and also did the backs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nearly done - best helmet fan system??
Frank75139 replied to rzill's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
I use a two fan system from Henry. Seems to work well. 2 fans connected to one power source and its ran off a lipstick power bank that hides in the helmet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I think that would look perfect if you cut there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At a quick glance the ears look like they could use a little trimming to make them seat a little better, but I don’t think they’re horrible. The black lines are a bit bold in my opinion, and I’m not a pro so I’m not sure about the bumps, but it would bother me to have it like that. And of course the missing hovi tip would need to be fixed and it doesn’t look like there is any screen behind the frown. Should’t take much time but it’s a fun little project, keep us posted. What do you think of this personal fan?
Frank75139 replied to Zippiesdrainage's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
I think you’d be better off going a different route. The fans don’t look they are detachable, you’d want something separate so you can place them in different areas in the helmet. It helps with cooling and with keeping the lenses from fogging. Those are meant to be around the neck which really wouldn’t work well if you’ve got a neck seal on. Your probably better off spending the extra $20 and getting a more usable system in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
