ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
TheSwede replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Wasn’t the Anovos-helmets priced pretty much at the $600-700 mark as well? Armor-wise I’m pretty sure it will be the $1000 range it was before. Anyway, all I’m really bothered with is us getting our armor we are owed -

fishgoh0nk's TLJ Build Thread (KB Props)

I would leave it alone unless you really and I mean really really want to go full-accuracy, given if the discrepencies you pointed out are correct. I would send my GML pics of the helmet just to be sure and ask but I doubt it will be denied approval or even L2/L3 (Ask the DO:s about that) Good luck with the build -

You could try to remove a little more and sand it really smooth

I would recommend using a hosting site like Imgur, it let’s you upload most if not all sizes

Tim’s first time build (RS Prop Masters ESB TK)
TheSwede replied to TrickyT81's topic in ESB Build Threads
Best way is to do what you are doing, asking questions. For Centurion I would go over the latest submissions and study the D.Os comments. Edit: And..In case you might wonder ”who is this guy..does he even know what he’s talking about” I mean I could be just a random guy sharing his opinions I’m previously a D.O here and currently GML for my Garrison. -

Using minimal ”pressing force” and taking breaks to avoid the rivet getting too hot. Not sure what you mean by ”when it comes to the ears”? Ears are mounted with screws but I might be stupid and not getting it... -

Just a heads up, using just one photo of one Prop isn’t the best approach for 501st approval as the originals had all kinds of quirks that are not approvable -

If it were me I would reposition the face plate. As you have it now, you can see were the original hole for the rivet is and that is a good indicator for some tweeking. The ear will probably cover it but I would still twist it a tad to the left . I would also even out the spacing for the brow trim and ones you do I don’t think it will appear short. Note that nothing I said is mandatory for approval, just worth mention for apparence. Your helmet is fine as is. Some original helmets for reference. (My computer is down so I can’t make any drawings for you). -

On second thought, after eye-balling the eyes (haha) you could do some light trimming to be more in line with the originals -

Looks fine -
Not to worry, original bicep pieces did not have them either
-
Just hang tight, it will be updated. Congratz on approval and welcome to the Legion and FISD
-
I don’t think you’ll have a problem getting approved With that said, givning them a light shave wouldn’t go a miss as the movie-ears usually were a bit thinner - choice is yours (might have to zoom a bit to see though)

How big of cover strips are acceptable?
TheSwede replied to Necron's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Hi Ultimately it comes down to your GML, however you are correct and a 2”+ coverstrip is not a good look so I would go the extra mile and shim regardles if your GML allows it or not. On a sidenote, I”m a GML and I would not allow it. Sounds harsh perhaps but that’s the hard fact, then I would of course assist the member untill the armor is approvable. -
Gorilla glue should work too, never used it myself though. Just remember to use tiny drops, that’s more important than any sanding. It’s always good to clean the glove Have you watched any building videos on youtube? Here’s one I watched ALOT before my first armor arrived. https://youtube.com/c/ArmorBuildingwithTK1636

Hey, use loctite super glue. Use way less than you would think and those handguards are solid Here’s how I do it: Put the glove on Check the fit of the handguard Put very small amounts of glue on the glove, roughly at the center were the handguard will sit Press the handguard down for a few seconds Lift the edges on the handguard and put tiny drops of glue on the glove and press the handguard down again Repeat untill done.

Great to see you back at it, never to late to build armor As for vendor I would look up Jsin props (FB and IG).
