Well then you were right at first. They were on display at the fathead booth. I was too late to save the other ones. The guy ripping them down told me that they couldn't be saved. I asked him if I could try. If the sticky back touches each other, it's toast. I peeled him down, laid him on the floor face down and covered him with plastic bags. In armor I might add.

His blaster is the SE-14R I do believe.

Drop boxes seem a little high. One is tucked up under hid belt.

This is the stormtrooper I rescued at C4. The tore him off the wall and left him laying for dead. The biggest problem with going digital is the dew point in your bucket. Salt acts as a conductor. I surmise that was the problem they had at C4; It worked for a while and then quit.

Are you speaking of the trick toys amp? I myself would like to check that out. Eventualy I'll get a digital amp, but that's a chunk of change I just wont spend right now.

No sweat I love this hobby. If I can offer something new and unique, then I feel like I've accomplished something as Armorer.

Out of the many different Stormtroopers I've seen, I've seen many different methods and mediums. My shoulder straps are made out of vinyl baseboard and velcroed underneath ; the ribbed platic 'strap' is velcroed down and hides it. You are right though, in that the ribbed plastic straps will crack easily.

Do you still have a rom, or are you going to get another?

Upon closer inspection of a romFX, I have come to the conclusion that we are dealing with apples and oranges. At first I thought the rom was just a sound board that you hook up to an amp, but now I know that it is an amp like mine, only it converts the sound into digital output. Mine is anolog. So, there is no mixing and modding; you use one or the other. My Bommar rocks for sound, but it's just not the same type of sound as the romFX. It just looks better and comes finnished with built in fans. I'd like to get my hands on a romFX so I can build a box for it. I could make it look like my Bommar. So far the only setups I've seen look jerry rigged with wires, tape and hot glue. I'm vac forming parts this weekend. Wish me luck.

It might. I think you would just want to avoid build up, because wax itself can yellow. I actualy discovered the lighter fluid by accident. I was using it to clean off velcro glue residue, which works wonders by the way, and realized that it cleans and conditions abs. Give it a shot. All you have to lose is your armor

Plastic, either ABS or HIPS will break down quicker if you troop out in the sun more. It also depends on how you take care of it. Do you toss it in the bin, or to you wrap it up and pack it away. I notice that my helmets out on display yellow quicker. You can also prolong the life of your plastic by conditioning it. I use charcoal lighter fluid on my ABS, which keeps it shiny and new looking.

Just pp'd for platinum subscription. Heck, it's cheaper than taking paul to dinner.
