  1. I sent my prototype to our fearless leader to give it a shot After much inspection he sent it back. It seems that I need to scale it down just a bit more to accomodate the trooper with less headroom in his bucket. Though it's a perfect fit for me, I also want it to be a perfect fit for all of you too. I am now in the process of new moulds yet again. I'm sure Ed will expound a bit further on this sound system. I'm anxious to know what he thought of the loudnes and overal sound quality of this particular analog amp. Bommar made it back home safe and sound yesterday. It will most likely spend the remainder of it's years in my bucket:) I'll post pics of my progress. My new moulds should be done by the weekend. ooops scratch that-busy this weekend:/ A big thanks goes out to Ed for his time and effort in helping this project along.
  2. How are they on temperature? are they OK for hot troops?
  3. I've seen troopers use vinyl, plastic, Foamy craft foam, lots of stuff realy. Armorers should produce this part with plenty of extra material for the beefier troopers.

Mine is a great match, and I think it's accurate.
  5. Every once in a while a trooper staggers and goes down.
  6. I see a lot of troopers use a magic marker on the logos. You can also cover it with black iron on patch material that you can get at most any fabric store. Just be careful when ironing spandex. I use the wool setting on my iron.
  7. Do you have walmart.com in Holland? or will they not ship to Holland either?
  8. That does look sharp. Thank you for sharing. BTW, what bucket is that?
  9. There is a trooper in my garrison that has multicolored armor parts. It bugs the hell out of him, but his looks best on film and in pictures. We've got a local guy doing a fan film who tells me that all the others look like a white glare on film. Apperently that's why Vaders helmet was painted checkerboard black and silver grey. If you do decide to paint, I recomend Krylon Fusion. They offer a few different shades of white. But I caution spraying over old paint because you never know what sort of efect you'll get ie: orange peel and crackle.
  10. Actualy I live in wa. Only about two hours from seattle. My wife has a triathalon this week over there and I have a troop.
  11. I just want to say what a fantastic thread this is. It's great that all the new TK's have this place to learn and share.
  12. You certainly have a point there. If the supplier and the manufacturer are different people I can see how this mistake could be made, but I can't see the manufaturer sending that lid the way it looks in the picture.
  13. No more so than in the movies.
  14. I did a garter system that can be found here: ----- It's not adjustable, but I've never had to adjust it.
  15. score and snap.
  16. ??? Should have been more like; "MY bad. I'll send you a new face and back piece tomorrow".
  17. I found out the hard way small moulds should not be made of plaster. I have to start from scratch all over. I'm going to Seattle this week, so I'm picking up the proper stuff to make proper moulds. I sent my prototype to someone we all know and love, so hopefully we will be hearing from him soon.
  18. I sure wouldn't mind having a sheperton. I held a set at C4. Thick ABS and good detail. It was an older set so maybe that's why it was better.
  19. Like Thomas stated, I would try getting a replacement before I did all that work. If the supplier doesn't answer you and just leaves you hanging, that's something we should all be aware of.
  20. Yes, it looks like it was trimmed wrong. I would shim it up instead of bringing the bottom in.
  21. Since I troop so much, I find it a pain in the an impolite person dressing and undressing a mannequin, so I just leave it in the bin. Once I get a set of RT my FX will go on a mannequin and stay that way.
  22. I'm the one wearing the hat.
  23. I did my helmet first, but that's just me. I made the mistake of getting my glue a little thick and it dimpled the back traps. You might have heard from the other guys here to put it together with blue painters tape for a roufh fit. Most of all, post pics:)
  24. Congratulations! I remember how overwelmed I was when my kit arived.
