  1. I especialy like the wetness indicator. Maybe I could mod my armor so the greeblies turn color when it's time for a fresh one.
  2. Nice work. Headliner is awesome. It's what I make my neckseals out of.
  3. I had to pee in armor really bad once during the starlight parade.I needed new boots anyway.

Not done yet. You can see the rubber gromets on the bottom of the chin switch. Flex tubing comes out and wraps around the back inside of the bucket with battery packs on the side and the amp goes in the back. I'm making a 12v pack to run my fans. 9v batteries will run cpu fans, but not as long.

I guess it depends how much you trimmed out the eyes. If you trimmed a lot then you might not have enough room for the lense frames. The screw holes need to be pre drilled or they'll just crack your framees. Screw sise? Small:)
  6. I would have to agree. The biggest dissapointment in the FX kit was that it came trimmed.

I use small computer wire anchors zip tied to my flex tubing. This makes my fans semi adjustable. Masking tape:)

Thank you thank you. I just know people are going to sneak a peek inside my bucket. I want them to get their peeks worth. Last weekend a trooper asked me why I put more time on the inside than the outside. Hey, I told him, I live in that thing.

Coming along slowly but surely. The only thing that I didn't like about the headliner was the cheesey sweat band, sow I sewed another one in. I made it out of ribbed neck seal. Looks kinda cool
  10. I did the same thing. It's not bad, but has it's faults. You can hear all the squeeks of your helmet. I was considering wearing a spy ear seperate from my helmet because I don't like having to hook up headphones to my bucket. I also considered a set of large built in that slide on with my bucket, but that could get hot in there.
  11. I'll take a set. Send me your email so I can pp you.
  12. What are you getting for your speakers?
  13. Anyone know where to find 20mm speakers that will fit airators? Thanks.
  14. This is my FX. Doing the same with my RT. I have a modified scullworks that I built a chin switch for. The inside of my bucket is like my own private space in the Legion. Anything goes, as long as it works for the individual. There's nothing canon to wory about. Many possibilities. Radios, MP3, two way communication, or just stuff that looks it does stuff.
  15. Yes. Good idea. It would melt the edges so the hole wont fray. I like it.
  16. Odd. Sometimes I have to log in, sometimes I don't.
  17. With all the moving and house buying my wife and I have been doing, the only way I can go to C4 is if I can share the gas bill. I have a '91 Suburban that seats 12. I can take four people and their stuff, be it bins or suitcases. $120 per each passenger including myself will cover gas. Tires, oil and wear and tare are on me. If we take turns driving, we'll be there in no time w/luggage. I live in the puget sound area of Washington, and will pick up as far south as Sacramento. My email is no more, so please pm me here.
  18. Sorry trooper, but no can do at this time. We are moving, and most of my stuff is in storage. BTW, when I get my moulds done I'm trying for a whole kit out of it.
  19. I use charcoal lighter fluid for my ABS and styrene. Shines and conditions it. dab some on your remaining adhesive, let it soak up a bit, and the stuff comes right off. It also removes paint scuffs, jelly stains and mold and milldew.
  20. This stuff is assentialy naga hide. Doesn't paint very well.
  21. I used the foam liner once. It turned into a big wet hot sponge. I hated it. I don't wear glasses (like I'm suposed to), but my bucket fits pretty firmly.
  22. that photo took just under 4 seconds. Besides, I'm 40 and don't have much time left for that kind of stuff.
  23. Just as soon as I'm in my new shop:)
  24. We are in the middle of moving, so most of my projects are in temporarily on hold.
